Why Do I Have To Show ID When Obama Shows None?

By Tom Ballantyne Jr.

I just went through this in re-instating my architectural license in AZ. They wanted me to provide college transcripts, proof of registration in previous states, proof of passing the national licensing exam, and 30 year professional experience (work) history, proof of citizenship, proof of Social Security registration, and government-provided photo ID (not necessary to vote in every state won by Barack Obama in the recent election) – all of which I had to provide 8 years ago upon being licensed initially in the state, and ALL of which is in my file IN THEIR OFFICE. The forms which they send to be re-completed are all available on-line, but cannot be filled out electronically. They have to be printed, filled in by hand (or typewriter!), scanned, printed, and mailed. (I was stunned yesterday that they let me email an additional form they requested from another state!) Meanwhile, the “supervisor” was attending a “conference” in San Francisco, or was it San Diego?

By the Way, just try telling them that your birth certificate is posted on your MySpace page, and let me know how that works out for you. Oh yeah, your’re not the guy with the Connecticut Social Security Number (who couldn’t pass the Federal Government’s own E-Verify system last year), and whose Selective Service Registration is a clear forgery (both departments refusing to provide proof of original documentation, while scurrying to destroy past records – all such actions a matter of public record). Anyway, you’re not the guy walking around with the Nuclear Launch Codes (the Nuclear Football) within 20 feet of you at all times (or was it meters?), so no big deal. Oops! I got that backwards. It isn’t a big deal for HIM, but it is for those of us who hire and pay him, and to whom HE is to answer. But saying all of this only makes me a “racist” and “birther” according to the media elites in BOTH parties.

No, you and I are just people who believe that under the Rule of Law, we are all EQUAL, even if we’re not an impoverished, government-assisted, transgender “male” (or lesbian), Muslim, or, at least non-Christian or non-Jewish (yes, lots of contradictions there) person of color. Too bad about that “document of negative liberties”…but that apparently only applies to angry white Christian males…like those who wrote that dusty old document (found recently in a trash bin behind the Capitol!).

Tom Ballantyne – Author of Oh Really, O’Reilly! an expose of the greatest fraud and cover-up in American history, by none other than the political elites in the Republican Party and so-called “Conservative” establishment media. (Available at www.UncommonSenseNow.com.)

Looking for a water softener

By thabin

I’m in Tempe, AZ with hard water.

City water report for 2012
http://www.tempe.gov/modules/showdoc…cumentid=17603

I’ve been having problems with my water heater, and plan on buying a new one. I’m planning on the GE Hybrid heat pump system, just as an aside.

But before I do, I want to get a water softener to help prevent the problems I have with hard water.

But what system to get?

My wife has high blood pressure issues, so the sodium from a traditional salt softener system could be a problem.

What would the community recommend?

Thanks!

Retaining Wall – Control/Expansion Joint

By pbody

I’m planning/designing a 8x8x16 CMU retaining wall (2′ high retaining + 2.5′ high wall beyond retaining grade – no slope). There are 2 separate segments. One segment is 72′ long, the other is 52′ long with a 90 degree corner at 37’/15′. Location = Phoenix, AZ

Question #1: Local code does not require expansion joints. Does this seem correct? Even though my wall segments are less than 80′, is there any advantage of having one of my control joints be an expansion joint?

Question #2: Local code requires control joints every 24′. So, on the 52′ segment with 90′ corner, can I get away with just 1 control joint? If I need to do 2, should I place the 2nd in the shorter 15′ section. I know I need to keep control joints 8′ from corners, and I’d basically in the middle of the 15′ section.

2013 Global Product Data Interoperability Summit Expands, Now Open to More Vendors

Held two months earlier in a larger venue, the Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and Elysium event focuses on boosting productivity through the use of common data streams

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The Boeing Company (NYS: BA) , Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYS: NOC) , and Elysium Inc. will hold the fifth joint Global Product Data Interoperability Summit (GPDIS), on September 9-12, at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler, AZ. The theme of this year’s Summit is “Enabling Productivity with Common Data Streams.”

The event functions as a communications hub for industry professionals to exchange ideas, solutions, and methods for improving product data quality and interoperability, with the goal of driving common standards adoption in global aerospace, automotive and other industries.

The growing popularity of the GPDIS has led to it being held two months earlier than in previous years, and in a larger venue to accommodate more vendors/sponsors. The event is held at no cost to industry professionals and supply chain partners in aerospace, automotive, related industries, and academia.

“This year we have more room to showcase an even wider range of the latest technologies that address the business challenges of CAD/CAM/CAE data exchange,” says GPDIS executive management team member and event organizer Ken Tashiro, Vice President and COO of Elysium Inc. Vendors/solutions providers are also sponsors, which provides their teams with an opportunity to present at the event (if abstracts are submitted before the June 14 deadline, and approved) along with exhibit booth privileges and accommodation discounts.

The GPDIS executive committee of Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and Elysium will kick off the summit with early-bird sessions the first day, followed by three days of technical presentations.

“Fundamentally, being able to provide product information as needed by the end users, without having to do transformations and conversions, is the key challenge facing us going forward,” says Nancy Bailey, vice president of IT at Boeing. “This is why this summit is so important, as it creates a forum for us to come together and get deep into those technical discussions around what …read more

Moving Arpaio’s Investigation Forward

By Brian Reilly

Joe Arpaio 5 SC Moving Arpaios Investigation Forward

Since September 15, 2011 the investigation into Barack Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth has been ongoing by Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse. Having developed the plan to investigate the authenticity of the Obama Certificate of Live Birth and having worked as a member of Sheriff Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse, I believe I have more than a little knowledge about what has transpired since 242 of my fellow Maricopa citizens signed my petition requesting the sheriff’s investigation on August 17, 2011. Sheriff Arpaio accepted our request, and I was informed that the investigation would be done with the “utmost diligence.”

As you may know, Sheriff Arpaio’s office developed probable cause that the Obama long form birth certificate that was posted as a PDF file on the White House website on April 27, 2011 is indeed a computer-generated forgery. Also, examined was information that determined that probable cause exits that the Obama Selective Service System registration form is also a criminal forgery. The Obama Social Security number has also raised serious questions about its legitimacy. All of this information was presented to the press on March 1, 2012 with little exposure given to the public by the news networks. As a result of the lack of news coverage, on March 31, 2012, my wife Denise and I organized a repeat press conference held at the Church on the Green in Sun City West, AZ. Over 1,200 people came to the press conference to learn the facts about Obama’s identity documents that had been so carefully hidden by the media.

Fast forward to March 18, 2013. No state prosecutors will assist Sheriff Arpaio with his investigation. The local media has treated the investigation as a joke. Federal authorities have turned a blind eye to alleged criminal acts. Conservative news outlets appear to be afraid to address the birth certificate issue. And last but not least, the investigation is sure to be a major sore spot with the Arpaio foes who are attempting to recall the good sheriff. This, all because Sheriff Arpaio stood up for the Rule of Law and performed as a public servant as requested by his Maricopa County constituents.

Many times, over the course of the investigation, Sheriff Arpaio has stated that there simply is nowhere to go with the investigation for enforcement. My contention is that there is now only one appropriate place to go with probable cause that crimes have been committed, and that is to the United States Congress. I believe that the time is appropriate for Sheriff Arpaio to mail 435 certified letters to every member of the House of Representatives, demanding in no uncertain terms that President Obama, as the direct beneficiary of alleged, criminally forged identification documents, should now be Impeached for “high Crimes and Misdemeanors” under Article II, Section 4 of the United States Constitution.

Arpaio’s decisive action will accomplish several objectives: 1.) The Impeachment process will result in a full Congressional investigation. 2.) Sheriff Arpaio will have completed his investigation and transferred the onus of …read more

Can Pascal Soriot Turn Around AstraZeneca? It May Come Down To One Drug

By Matthew Herper, Forbes Staff This morning in New York, new AstraZeneca chief executive Pascal Soriot is telling investors how he is going to turn around the company that has had the absolute worst track record in research and development among any big pharmaceutical firm. The plan is fairly wide-ranging and involves a lot of the steps one might expect: new layoffs (2,300 jobs); a re-focusing of research and development on three areas: heart disease and diabetes; oncology; and respiratory and inflammation; new R&D initiatives involving Moderna, a biotech company, and the Karolinska Instutet; moving the company’s headquarters to its R&D hub in Cambridge, U.K.; re-focusing on emerging markets, where AZ already gets $6 billion in sales, especially China. But the short-term key to delivering on his promises today seems to come down to a single drug: Brilinta, the Plavix competitor that AstraZeneca introduced in 2011 which has so far disappointed, generating  just $324 million in global sales last year. This is a medicine to prevent heart attacks and strokes in patients who suffer acute coronary syndrome, the condition that occurs after a heart attack or serious heart-related chest pain. It works by preventing the formation of blood clots. …read more

Macy’s, Inc. to Expand Arizona Fulfillment Center

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Macy’s, Inc. (NYS: M) today announced that it will expand its online order fulfillment center in Goodyear, AZ, to accommodate continued sales growth as part of the company’s omnichannel strategy. The company is expected to invest more than $35 million in capital in the project.

The Goodyear facility, with 600,000 square feet of space, was built by Macy’s, Inc. and opened in spring 2008. The expansion will add 360,000 square feet of space. Construction is expected to begin this summer so the expanded facility, with a total of 960,000 square feet, can be operational in spring 2014.

“Macy’s omnichannel strategy has helped us to accelerate sales growth – from a combination of stores and online – in recent years as we position our company to serve customers no matter wherever, however and whenever they prefer to shop. Our online fulfillment centers, as well as the 500 Macy’s stores that will be equipped to fulfill orders by the end of 2013, handle customer orders placed online, as well as ship products to customers who shop in stores that may not stock the specific product they need. Through our omnichannel strategy, we can access the total inventory of our company for every customer,” said R.B. Harrison, Macy’s, Inc.’s chief omnichannel officer.

“Going forward, it is important that our systems and facilities continue to develop so we have the capacity to continue to serve customer demand and grow sales. Goodyear already is a state-of-the-art fulfillment center, and this expansion will allow us to scale up its capabilities to handle the higher level of volume expected in the years ahead,” Harrison said.

The Goodyear fulfillment center currently employs more than 500 full-time-equivalent associates. With the expansion, employment is expected to grow to more than 625 full-time equivalents.

“We are thrilled with Macy’s decision to select Goodyear for its next major expansion of its online business fulfillment capacity. Macy’s has been a great corporate citizen, community partner and major employer these past five years,” said Goodyear Mayor Georgia Lord. “To have Macy’s grow jobs to 625 full-time equivalents, with a new $35 million capital investment, is a wonderful testament to our commitment to provide a place for businesses to grow and our citizens to enjoy good jobs with top tier employers. Macy’s is one of our most critical corporate anchors. Their expansion demonstrates Goodyear is continuing to grow and we’re ready for businesses to grow with us.”

Sheriff Joe Withstands Death Threats

By Suzanne Eovaldi

Joe Arpaio 5 SC Sheriff Joe withstands death threats

Just how much more can one man take?  America’s real sheriff (the one doing what his constituents have asked him to do), Sheriff Joe Arpaio, has received a threat against his life in the form of a violent online rant sent from Mexico even as he lies hospitalized with a broken left shoulder. The 80-year old Republican peace officer also faces a fall recall after he was elected to an historic sixth term in November! And Arizona is bracing for more crime resulting from the release of 300 to 500 illegal aliens into the state’s southern border area as Eric Holder and his Department of Justice ignore their sworn duty to protect American citizens threatened daily by hordes of invaders. Of course, many believe the number of released illegals will be closer to 2000, with their being back on the street having been conveniently blamed on the sequester.

An individual identified online as an American citizen and Arizona resident made the following violent threat according to Sheriff Joe’s appeal for help:  “He (Sheriff Joe) should see the color of his skin and where he comes from. . .stupid mother******. . .let’s KILL HIM.  I will kill him for FREE.  I am going to AZ to kill that a..hole!”  Now another thug has sent a message attacking the octogenarian lawman who has spent over 50 years serving his fellowman.   “Hopefully, infection will set in,” says the thug.  Just how low will this man’s opponents go in their effort to bring him down? If recall leader William James Fisher is successful in obtaining over 335,000 valid voter signatures by May 30, the Maricopa County Sheriff and his Office will have to face another political battle.

Keep in mind here that Sheriff Joe is the ONLY American law enforcement officer who answered the call of constituents to investigate the legitimacy of Barack Obama’s citizenship and the apparent forgery of the birth certificate released by the White House as “official” in 2011.  More death threats came in after the intensive investigation into birth certificate forgeries by the Cold Case Posse.  “I’m listening to my constituents; they asked me to look at it,” Arpaio says.  At least 150 lawsuits nationwide and 24 legal appeals to the U.S. Supreme Court by ordinary citizens and Americans worried about our country’s national security have been rebuffed by our judiciary, Congress, politicians, and other law enforcement entities nationwide.  Only Sheriff Joe and his Cold Case Posse investigators led by senior analyst Mike Zullo have had the fortitude to press forward against enormous odds in this crisis of Presidential Legitimacy!

The indomitable patriot sent an instant message from his hospital bed saying he is relieved the injury was to his left shoulder, not his right, so he can still operate his “Smith & Wesson and Smith Corona,” referring to his gun and his typewriter!

“I need your help now more than ever,” reads Sheriff Joe’s press release to CiR.  And we need to answer his call yet again.  You can go to www.info@reelectjoearpaio.com or …read more

Asset Acceptance Capital Corp. Reports Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2012 Results

Earnings per fully diluted share for the full year 2012 of $0.35; strong quarter of investment in purchased receivables

WARREN, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Asset Acceptance Capital Corp. (NASDAQ: AACC), a leading purchaser and collector of charged-off consumer debt, today reported results for the quarter and fiscal year ended December 31, 2012.

In a separate press release, the Company also announced today that it had entered into an agreement in which Encore Capital Group, Inc. will acquire Asset Acceptance for $6.50 per share for a total equity value of approximately $200 million.

Fourth Quarter 2012 Financial Highlights

Cash collections for the fourth quarter of 2012 increased 4.3% compared to the same period of the prior year, to $85.7 million.

Fourth quarter revenues were $51.7 million, a decrease of 8.3% from the prior year period. The Company reported net impairments on purchased receivables of $0.9 million, which decreased revenues for the quarter, versus net impairment reversals of $2.6 million in the prior year period.

Rion Needs, President and CEO of Asset Acceptance Capital Corp, commented: “During the fourth quarter we continued to focus on our key initiatives, specifically, growing legal channel collections as well as identifying and implementing initiatives to improve our cost structure and productivity. Mr. Needs continued, “We continued to show progress in key performance metrics and have ambitious goals to further improve efficiency. While industry dynamics remained challenging, particularly the supply and pricing of charged-off receivables, we believe we remain well positioned to reach our operational and profitability goals in 2013 and beyond.”
