ALEXANDRIA, VA — The death of Trayvon Martin is, of course, a devastating event for his family. That a 17-year-old boy returning from a visit to a nearby store for a snack should have his life taken is difficult to understand and accept. On many levels, the incident was, as President Obama has said, “tragic.”

Still, this event has provoked demagoguery that ignores the complex facts of the case itself and has provided an opportunity for provocateurs to proclaim that race relations in America are similar to those of the segregated Old South, as if the notable progress we have made in recent years had never happened.

The Deceptions
Consider some of the things we have heard.

* Jesse Jackson referred to the trial as “Old South Justice.” NAACP President Benjamin Jealous declared, “This will confirm for many that the only problem with the New South is it occupies the same time and space as the Old South.” He invoked the memory of 14-year-old Emmett Till, who was killed in 1955 after supposedly whistling at a white woman “and whose murderers were acquitted.” An article in The Washington Post drew parallels between this case and that of Emmett Till, as well as the bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1963, and the 1933 case of the Scottsboro Boys, nine young black men accused of raping two white girls.

* “Trayvon Benjamin Martin is dead because he and other black boys and men like him are seen not as a person but a problem,” the Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnick, the senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, told a congregation once led by the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

* In Sanford, Florida, the Rev. Valerie J. Houston drew shouts of support and outrage at Allen Chapel A.M.E. as she denounced, “the racism and the injustice that pollute the air in America. Lord, I thank you for sending Trayvon to reveal the injustice, God, that lives in Sanford.”

* One of those who organized demonstrations against the verdict and promoted the idea that our society is little better than it was in the years of segregation is the Rev. Al Sharpton, always ready to pour fuel on a fire, and now provided by MSNBC with a nationwide pulpit. How many today remember Sharpton’s history of stirring racial strife? In 1987, he created a media frenzy in the case of Tawana Brawley, a black teenager who claimed she was raped by a group of white police officers. A grand jury found that Brawley had lied about the event in Wappingers Falls, New York, and the case was dropped. The event that Sharpton used to indict our society for widespread racism never happened.

* In 1991, Sharpton exacerbated tensions between blacks and Orthodox Jews in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. A three-day riot, fueled by Sharpton’s inflammatory statements, erupted when a Guyanese boy died after being struck by a car driven by a Jewish man. If it is true that conservatives (i.e. patriots) must unify to defeat Obot forces arrayed to destroy America, then the governor of New Jersey is a sellout at best, a traitor more likely.  Defenders of liberty, which depends upon America’s founding principles, ought to be outraged.

Gov. Chris Christie, the latest Democrat in Lincoln clothing, last week called Sen. Rand Paul’s thinking on national security and civil rights “dangerous.”  He condemned Paul and others for engaging in “esoteric, intellectual debates” critical of government surveillance and the war on terrorism.

In doing so, Christie continues his tradition of holding hands with Obama and schmoozing for position in view of 2016.  If debating security versus liberty and working to strike the appropriate balance is a heady discussion confined to a small group with special knowledge (the definition of “esoteric”), then Christie must believe that most Americans are too dumb and too uninformed to participate; and Sen. Paul’s efforts to enlighten The People amounts to a misguided and dangerous endeavor.   This makes Christie an arrogant elitist.  No wonder his finds Obama kindred.

Strange to learn the governor sides with Obama against efforts to preserve liberty and in favor of policies that shred the Constitution, as if The People are accessories.  Why? Christie makes the age-old mistake: he trusts human nature.  He believes if government is given enormous power, it will use that power to protect us, not turn on us.  History contradicts this illusion time and again, and the Founders made clear.  This is precisely why the core of Americanism is limited government: a central government restrained by the rule of law, the consent of the governed, and three co-equal branches checking and balancing the power of each branch.  Sen. Paul understands human nature and the core of Americanism.

Sen. Paul took to the floor of the Senate not long ago, filibustering for 13 hours, challenging Obama on the use of drones, and forcing the president to issue a statement promising not to kill Americans with drones on American soil.  Killing Americans overseas is something Obama reserves as a presidential prerogative.  Indeed, Obama has been responsible for killing civilians overseas using drones, many hundreds, perhaps thousands of men, women, and children.  But you’ll never hear about that on MSNBC or from the press office of the New Jersey governor.

Sen. Paul has also challenged the Obama/Christie idea that the federal government has a right to spy on citizens.  He has simply called for review and appropriate adjustments to accomplish the dual purposes of protecting American liberty and providing for national defense.  Overreach by the NSA and other agencies under the control of a man like Obama are sufficient reasons for alarm, and significant majorities agree with Sen. Paul and others who work to strike the right balance.

Christie appears only interested in working to promote his political career, even if it means attacking those he should be working with in the interest of saving the country.  Instead, he appears at the GOP nominating convention to egotistically engage self-promotion …read more

Who Is Supporting This Administration?

As the amnesty debate rages on, one has to ask: Why is it so important to this criminal administration to give a license to illegals to come into America? While most Americans are under the delusion that people favor this administration, the real question is, who exactly supports Barack Hussein Obama? Let’s go down memory lane and recollect just who (so you’ve been told) gives him all this support.

If you remember correctly, CNN’s president resigned last year due to the low viewership it received. Maybe this will shed some light as to why he resigned: Amber Lyon, former news anchor for CNN, said she was ordered to report fake stories, delete unfriendly stories adverse to the Obama administration, and construct stories in specific manners while working for the left-wing network. Lyon said that CNN is paid by U.S. and foreign governments for reporting on some events and not reporting on others. She also stated that the Obama administration pays for CNN content.

The New York Times actually blurted out the truth in their confusion (to their credit, I might add) that all information coming out of the Obama administration is first vetted.

Or what about MSNBC? I’m sorry I even have to bring them into the equation; but their slogan during the election campaign happened to be “Lean Forward,” which is directly derived from the communist playbook. MSNBC parades people like radical lesbian Rachel Maddow, the shameful uncivil rights want-to-be leader Al Sharpton, and Chris “it’s a terrible place to be when you’re brains are in someone else’s head” Matthews.

MSNBC’s ratings can’t get any lower than a snake’s belly, and that is just where they happen to be right now. These outlets are the ones that are attempting to remind those who do not have enough common sense to know right from wrong that Barack Hussein Obama has the support of the majority of Americans.

Nothing could be further from the truth!

Don’t you remember that in the 2010 elections, 63 Democratic representatives were unseated?

Do you remember that Barack Hussein Obama had to move the 2012 Democratic Convention from a 74,000-seat arena to a 20,000-seat arena, and he still couldn’t fill the seats by giving away free tickets?

Do you remember when it was reported in Milwaukee that people filled up an 18,000-seat arena to see Barack Hussein Obama, when in fact there were only 5,000 seats available?

Do you remember that 70 percent of Obama’s Twitter followers were found to be fake accounts, created out of thin air?

Do you remember when Stevie Wonder couldn’t get 200 people to show up for a fundraiser for Obama?

Did you forget that during the re-election inauguration, there weren’t even enough people in Washington, D.C., to fill up the hotel rooms?

And of course, you surely haven’t forgotten the massive voter fraud that took place in the United States in the last election.

“Brother Roger” And The Racial Agitators

Roger Ailes Fox News “Brother Roger” and the Racial Agitators

When conservatives complain about Al Sharpton, they usually note his relationship to NBC news or his hosting a show on MSNBC. But a new book says the racial agitator and Democratic Party politician has considerable clout with Fox News, and in fact played a role in getting conservative Glenn Beck fired from the channel.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson says “people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do not deserve to be called civil rights leaders. They are not. They are hustlers and pimps who make a living off inflaming racial tensions.”

However, The Zev Chafets book, Roger Ailes: Off Camera, has some revealing passages about the clout that Sharpton and Jackson have with the chairman and CEO of Fox News. It says Ailes took a phone call from Sharpton after Beck, then a Fox News host, staged a rally at the Lincoln Memorial 47 years to the day after Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his “I have a dream” speech at the same location. Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally, designed to pay tribute to America’s military personnel and restore traditional values, was strongly attacked by figures such as Sharpton and George Soros-funded groups like Media Matters, then campaigning to have Beck fired from Fox News.

Chafets says Reverend Alveda King, a national pro-life leader, delivered a conservative “I have a dream” message of her own at the Beck-sponsored rally that was “infuriating to many viewers” and Ailes as well. “Ailes didn’t like it much, either,” he reports. However, the book doesn’t explain why Ailes took issue with the rally or the speech.

The book adds, “When Al Sharpton called him [Ailes] to complain, Sharpton was surprised to hear Ailes say he would ‘take care’ of it.” The passage is included in the context of Ailes making a decision that “he would have to get rid of Glenn Beck” and telling Howard Kurtz, then a media reporter with The Daily Beast, that “he was turning down the partisan heat at the network” and was pursuing “a more moderate tone” in programming.

Kurtz, who was recently hired by Fox News, is described by Michael Clemente, Fox’s executive vice president of news, as “the most accomplished media reporter in the country,” despite a series of embarrassments over erroneous and controversial columns and media appearances that resulted in his firing from The Daily Beast.

While the Chafets book is considered sympathetic to the chief of the Fox News Channel, it notes that Beck’s firing followed his strong criticism of billionaire George Soros and a vigorous campaign by various left-wing groups against him.

Chafets also points out that then-Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), another liberal recently hired as a Fox News commentator, is a member of the “roster of Friends of Roger” and an old “buddy” of Ailes.

Accuracy in Media chairman Don Irvine noted that Kucinich was “one of the most liberal members of Congress until he lost his seat after redistricting in 2012,” and that he was “the latest in a string of liberals at Fox, including former Sen. …read more

Eliot Spitzer Considers Himself A Feminist (VIDEO)

Freedom To Break The Law?

In light of the George Zimmerman trial, many people are watching the media circus fabricate its next deception. While the media are attempting to divide America through racial wars that belong not to this generation, they have been exposed time and time again for their outright lies concerning this case. If it is not MSNBC omitting portions of Zimmerman’s 911 call, or jurors proclaiming that the media showing only pictures of an innocent little black boy has deceived them, then it’s prosecutors who are withholding evidence that would exonerate Zimmerman.

The media web spun.

But do they have a right to dispense half-truths, fabricated stories, or outright lies? Of course not! This is simply what the people tolerate – that is until it hits their livelihood. And let me tell you, it does. Martin Luther King stated, “An injustice done anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

Now, I know that in America today, most believe that the grace the American church has been teaching, “a license to go and use that grace as an occasion for the flesh” (Galatians 5:13), is the right to break God’s moral law. But in fact, that mindset stands in direct contradiction to its true definition.

Herein comes its counterfeit: licentiousness.

Americans stand back and wonder why their government acts in the fashion it does, as to believe that government has some mysterious freedom to break the laws of our republic. After that, its natural course is to trickle over into the realm of the media, a media that proclaim half-truths, fabrications, and straight-up lies – as if to say that freedom of speech is now a right to break the law.

Have you noticed in today’s society that equality is talked much of, of course without reference to the law or right-giver?

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal (under law), that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” (Thomas Jefferson)

When you read the Declaration of Independence, you can see that our rights are derived from our Creator; and nowhere can you find our Creator advocate the right to break His laws (Exodus 20). Freedom is not the right to do whatever we want to do, but that which is right before God to do!

Clinton, 'Normal' honored at GLAAD awards

NBC‘s sitcom “The New Normal,” FX‘s thriller “American Horror Story: Asylum” and NBC‘s daytime drama “Days of Our Lives” took home top TV honors at the 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards held Saturday night in Los Angeles.

The GLAAD awards pay tribute to “inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.”

The event, hosted by actress-producer-director Drew Barrymore, boasted such Hollywood heavyweights as presenters Jennifer Morrison, Charlize Theron, Betty White and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Other winners included “Perks of Being a Wallflower,” which was named outstanding film: wide release, and former President Bill Clinton was given the first advocate for change award.

On the arrivals line, longtime Clinton friend, Oscar-winner Mary Steenburgen, defended the former president’s controversial honor. Under Clinton’s administration came the Defense of Marriage Act, which bars federal recognition of same-sex marriage, as well as the “don’t ask, don’t tell” military policy.

“Actually, (“don’t ask, don’t tell”) was a sorrow for him,” Steenburgen said. “So, I think he’s spent a large part of his life making up for that. But I tell you this: He’s never not had his heart in the right place, in terms of the gay community.”

Many who walked the press gauntlet shared personal stories. Actor Justin Bartha said a brother’s coming out moved him both personally and professionally.

“It was an inspiring moment — I’m sure for him and definitely me and my whole family,” Bartha noted. “So, it was at the forefront of my mind when looking at (the role of half of a gay couple in “The New Normal”).”

“Kyle XY” actor Matt Dallas discussed his decision to come out publicly earlier this year. MSNBC news anchor Thomas Roberts talked about the recent marriage to his male partner of 12 years. Entertainment blogger Perez Hilton detailed the challenges of being the single gay parent of newly adopted child.

And transgendered Chaz Bono expressed hopes for the gay lesbian bisexual transgender community’s future.

“I mean, I think the goal always has to be equality in all aspects under the law,” he said. “You’re never going to eradicate discrimination. We see that with other minorities. Racism is still, unfortunately, alive and well. But equal

Gosnell’s Clinic Of Horrors

Did you catch The Rev. Jesse Jackson the other night on CNN demanding a Senate hearing into why regulators never cracked down on that gruesome abortion clinic in Philadelphia?

Did you hear Al Sharpton on MSNBC saying that if Dr. Gosnell had been killing white babies in Bryn Mawr, his women’s clinic would have been shut down 30 years ago?

Did you see the tears in Oprah’s eyes when she read that passage from the grand jury report describing Gosnell’s abortion mill as “a baby charnel house” that “regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy — and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors”?

Didn’t think so.

Where are America’s black leaders? Where are the president and the first lady?

From the pulpits to the Oval Office, black leaders have been shamefully silent on the case of Kermit Gosnell, the so-called doctor who made his fortune killing babies and endangering the health of women — mostly black babies and black women.

Gosnell is now on trial in Philadelphia, charged with the deaths of one woman and seven babies that were older than 24 weeks and had been born alive.

Of course, this modern Joseph is innocent until proven guilty. But the 280-page grand jury report about what went on at his clinic, available online, is a catalogue of horror and criminality.

Quoting many witnesses and former clinic employees, it details the filthy conditions at the clinic, the demeaning way non-white patients were treated, and the incompetent and ill-trained staff.

The grand jury report also shows that for decades, several state agencies repeatedly failed to do their oversight — even after being informed by patients, doctors, and attorneys that horrible things were going on at the clinic.

Local news outlets in Philadelphia also clearly failed to do their job. Like the pro-choice journalists who run newspapers and TV stations across the country, they apparently had zero interest in scrutinizing the day-to-day operations or conditions of an abortion clinic in their city.

Black leaders have been conspicuously tongue-tied on the Gosnell case, even though minority women were his prime victims and blacks account for a disproportionate percent of the country’s abortions.

But at least some national media giants have been shamed by pro-life politicians and honest pundits into finally giving Gosnell’s case the attention deserved by a story about dead babies, exploited women, racism, and government failure.

What happened to those babies and women in Philadelphia is more than a wake-up call for the news media to cover abortion fairly and begin scrutinizing the operations of their local clinics.

Gosnell’s clinic of horrors — and other abortion factories that we’ve yet to hear about — is exactly what we in the pro-life movement have been warning about since the early seventies.

It’s where we always said the slippery slope of Roe v. Wade leads. We’re no longer aborting babies. We’re murdering them after they’re born.

Maybe it’s a measure of progressives’ refusal to look back, to always move “forward.” Otherwise, they should be celebrating right now. In fact, President Obama and fellow modern progressives/liberals should be ecstatic all this year, rejoicing over the centenary of something so fundamental to their ideology, to their core goals of government, to their sense of economic and social justice—to what Obama once called “redistributive change.”

And what is this celebratory thing to the progressive mind?

It is the progressive income tax. This year, it turns 100. Its permanent establishment was set forth in two historic moments: 1) an amendment to the Constitution (the 16th Amendment), ratified February 3, 1913; and 2) its signing into law by the progressive’s progressive, President Woodrow Wilson, October 3, 1913. It was a major political victory for Wilson and fellow progressives then and still today. By my math, that ought to mean a long, sustained party by today’s progressives, a period of extended thanksgiving.

President Obama once charged that “tax cuts for the wealthy” are the Republicans’ “Holy Grail.” Tax cuts form “their central economic doctrine.” Well, the federal income tax is the Democrats’ Holy Grail. For progressives/liberals, it forms their central economic doctrine.

As merely one illustration among many I could give, former DNC head Howard Dean and MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell were recently inveighing against Republican tax cuts. Dean extolled “what an increase in the top tax rate actually does.” He insisted: “that’s what governments do—is redistribute. The argument is not whether they should redistribute or not, the question is how much we should redistribute…. The purpose of government is to make sure that capitalism works for everybody …. It’s government’s job to redistribute.”

What Dean said is, in a few lines, a cornerstone of the modern progressive manifesto. For Dean and President Obama and allies, a federal income tax based on graduated or progressive rates embodies and enables government’s primary “job” and “purpose.” They embrace a progressive tax for the chief intention of wealth redistribution, which, in turn, allows for income leveling, income “equality,” and for government to do the myriad things that progressives ever-increasingly want government to do.

And so, in 1913, progressives struck gold. The notion of taxing income wasn’t entirely new. Such taxes existed before, albeit temporarily, at very small levels and for national emergencies like war. The idea of a permanent tax for permanent income redistribution broke new ground. The only debate was the exact percentage of the tax. In no time, progressives learned they could never get enough.

In 1913, when the progressive income tax began (and the first 1040 form, with instructions, was only four pages long), the top rate was a mere 7 percent, applied only to the fabulously wealthy (incomes above $500,000). By the time Woodrow Wilson left office in 1921, the great progressive had hiked the upper rate to 73 percent. World War I (for America, 1917-18) had given Wilson

Should Our Children Belong To The Collective?

Just when we think the secular assaults against the nuclear family unit can’t get any worse, we disturbingly learn that they can. Now, a host on a minor cable news network claims that we have to get over the idea that our children are ours and accept the fact that they belong “collectively” to all of us.

Melissa Harris-Perry, a host for a weekend show on scarcely watched MSNBC, was taped in a “lean forward” (euphemism for “lean more left”) promo for the network, saying that children don’t belong to their families and that they belong to the collective.

The host declared: “We have never invested as much in public education as we should have because we’ve always had kind of a private notion of children. Your kid is yours and totally your responsibility. We haven’t had a very collective notion of these are our children. So part of it is we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.”

The context seems innocuous enough: continue to engage in insanity (doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results) by throwing more money toward education. The answer to our educational inadequacies and failings is always more funding, to some. Heaven forbid that we should consider using what resources we have more efficiently and effectively and focus on teaching content that increases academic performance, instead of all the social engineering and politically correct indoctrination that is so pervasively “taught” in our public schools.

Some don’t even think her terminology, referring to collective ownership of our kids, in the promo is controversial. The New York Times and other media and extremist organizations have leapt to her defense. What should not be lost on us is that such entities are ideological compatriots to the host and are firmly predisposed to the collectivist ideals of the left.

I’m sure the folks over at NAMBLA would rejoice over such a concept of collectivist ownership of our kids! And what about all those unborn children who are never given a chance to take their first breath? Should that not likewise be a grave concern to the collective?

In free societies, as America was originally founded to be, private property ownership is sacrosanct. The second line in our Declaration of Independence states “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” The Lockean Creed, upon which that statement is based, equates private property with pursuit of happiness.

While children are not considered property and are not “owned,” the responsibility for rearing, teaching, and nurturing them is a private one, owned by the parents who brought them into the world. For those who lack the temporal means to support those children, there are safety nets that allow for community support of such disadvantaged children. Even that,

They will never admit that the Klu Klux Klan was formed and populated by Democrats who had been members of the Confederate Army.  They have lied about which Party was home to some of the worst bigots in American history.

Black conservative writer K. Carl Smith summed these lies up with: “When I grew up in Alabama, I thought George Wallace was a Republican. I thought Bull Connor was a Republican. I believed the people that bombed the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., were part of the Republican Party…..  all of the things I believed to be true I found it was a lie.”

Last Friday, the new movie “42” referring to Jackie Robinson’s uniform number was released. It is apparently a stirring tale of how a black American named Jack Roosevelt Robinson, who had the skill and courage necessary to pull it off, broke the color barrier and played baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers.

What is certain is that the Hollywood version of the Jackie Robinson story will not tell us about his life as a Republican activist after baseball. It will not touch on the strongly-held  Republican beliefs of Branch Rickey, the man who signed Robinson to play baseball for the  Dodgers, ironically played by leading Hollywood liberal Harrison Ford.  Nor will it mention that it was not until in 1959,  twelve years after Robinson was first at bat, that Boston (a bastion of phony liberalism) became the very last city to put a black man (Pumpsie Green) on its baseball field.

Jackie Robinson’s post-baseball years are just another story about black people the Democrats and their lap dog media ignore because it doesn’t fit the tapestry of lies they need their plantation hands to hear and believe.

The Democrats want the “truth” to be: “Yes Robinson had these wired un-politically correct conservative thoughts, but in 1960 when he saw Richard Nixon refuse to campaign in Harlem he was cleansed of them.” Nevertheless, Robinson’s autobiography strongly suggests otherwise. He was impressed with the enormous sums of money that white Republican Nelson Rockefeller’s family had given to support black colleges (Spellman College, which is today a leading anti-Republican nest, was founded by John D. Rockefeller and named for his mother.) Robinson liked a certain brand of Republicanism. He was a Rockefeller Republican, but a Republican nonetheless.

In order to campaign for Nelson Rockefeller in 1964, Robinson gave up a well- paying, very secure  job as a spokesman for Chock Full O’Nuts coffee company. Yet who could deny that if Jackie Robinson was alive today he would be mocked and reviled by the creeps at MSNBC because his political beliefs would not fit the plantation field-hand mentality they demand from blacks?  Number 42 would be just another Uncle Tom to them.

Race-obsessed Host’s Radical Background Exposed

Touré is able to reach literally dozens of viewers via his position as an MSNBC host. In that capacity, he seems to find a way to interweave the inherent racism of conservatives into any story that crosses his path.

Before he held such a prominent position among the leftist elite, though, the reporter cut his race-baiting teeth as the founder, editor, and publisher of a student newspaper at Emory University.

Known as “The Fire This Time,” Touré only accepted funding from blacks and not only defended but openly championed the causes of notorious black supremacy advocates.

He went further, inviting those he deemed “role models from the real world” to the university as guest speakers.

Before a spiritual reawakening led him to leave its racist theology to become a Baptist minister, Conrad Muhammad was set to take over Louis Farrakhan’s post as the head of the Nation of Islam. During this anti-white, anti-Semitic portion of his life, though, he was one of the speakers invited by Touré.

His collection of objectionable “role models” is lengthy and also includes a man who was once on the FBI Most Wanted List and a woman who claimed whites are part of an inferior mutant race.

Touré also incredibly kept harping on a supposed race-based vandalism on campus, even after the complainant admitted it was all a hoax.

The man who currently pollutes the cable airwaves with rants based entirely on skin color obviously did not develop his extreme views overnight. These reports show that his abnormal obsession with race extends at least as far back as his college education.

His background – Touré was raised in an affluent suburb of Boston and attended an exclusive preparatory school – does not seem to include the hardships that often attract black youth to such extreme views. Somewhere along the line, though, the progressive media darling nurtured a radical worldview that puts him in league with countless other talking heads who see all events through the filter of race.

Senator: Games Are ‘Simulators’ to Practice Violence

California senator Dianne Feinstein has once again commented on what she sees as a connection between video games and real-world violence. Speaking on MSNBC’s Morning Joe yesterday, Feinstein explained that she believes games can “enable” individuals who might become violent.

“I think the really violent video game becomes a kind of simulator to practice on,” she said. “It enables the individual to become much more familiar with that depiction of death and blood. Of course it’s not the way it is in real life.”

Last week, Feinstein said games have “a very negative influence” for young people and suggested that Congress should intervene.
