Clinton, 'Normal' honored at GLAAD awards

NBC‘s sitcom “The New Normal,” FX‘s thriller “American Horror Story: Asylum” and NBC‘s daytime drama “Days of Our Lives” took home top TV honors at the 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards held Saturday night in Los Angeles.

The GLAAD awards pay tribute to “inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.”

The event, hosted by actress-producer-director Drew Barrymore, boasted such Hollywood heavyweights as presenters Jennifer Morrison, Charlize Theron, Betty White and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Other winners included “Perks of Being a Wallflower,” which was named outstanding film: wide release, and former President Bill Clinton was given the first advocate for change award.

On the arrivals line, longtime Clinton friend, Oscar-winner Mary Steenburgen, defended the former president’s controversial honor. Under Clinton’s administration came the Defense of Marriage Act, which bars federal recognition of same-sex marriage, as well as the “don’t ask, don’t tell” military policy.

“Actually, (“don’t ask, don’t tell”) was a sorrow for him,” Steenburgen said. “So, I think he’s spent a large part of his life making up for that. But I tell you this: He’s never not had his heart in the right place, in terms of the gay community.”

Many who walked the press gauntlet shared personal stories. Actor Justin Bartha said a brother’s coming out moved him both personally and professionally.

“It was an inspiring moment — I’m sure for him and definitely me and my whole family,” Bartha noted. “So, it was at the forefront of my mind when looking at (the role of half of a gay couple in “The New Normal”).”

“Kyle XY” actor Matt Dallas discussed his decision to come out publicly earlier this year. MSNBC news anchor Thomas Roberts talked about the recent marriage to his male partner of 12 years. Entertainment blogger Perez Hilton detailed the challenges of being the single gay parent of newly adopted child.

And transgendered Chaz Bono expressed hopes for the gay lesbian bisexual transgender community’s future.

“I mean, I think the goal always has to be equality in all aspects under the law,” he said. “You’re never going to eradicate discrimination. We see that with other minorities. Racism is still, unfortunately, alive and well. But equal

Impeach Eric Holder, Repeat Offender

By Bradlee Dean

“Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.” – Harry Truman, in a speech opposing communism

Attorney General Eric Holder has again shown his true colors – his disdain for America and her laws. Recently, he took action against the German Romeike family, which is seeking asylum in the United States after being forced to flee the country or risk losing their five children to the German government. Germany was attempting to force the Romeikes to put their children in public school against their religious beliefs in a terrifying repeat of history.

Holder said that asylum should not be granted to homeschoolers because, according to him (not the law), homeschooling is not protected under religious freedom.

Regarding education, let me set the record straight: The federal government does not have the right to break the law by implementing any type of educational curriculum. Parents are responsible for training their children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6), not the federal government (Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution).

The fallout of federal education is stupefying. More than 700,000 students who graduate high school each year cannot even read their own diplomas. Bill Bennett, the secretary of education under Reagan, said, “The longer you stay in school in America, the dumber you get.”

Eric Holder, whose position is as a public servant, doesn’t have a right to break the law; his job is to ensure the rights of the people, not to strip them away.

Holder, who is appointed to magnify the law against crime, has instead repeatedly magnified crime against the law.

Wall Street:

On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, Eric Holder testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee, implying that Wall Street tycoons are above the law, in essence giving them a license to plunder the American people. Holder’s head of the criminal division did not prosecute a single Wall Street executive for the fraud that destroyed the economy.

Defense of Marriage:

Eric Holder has directed the DOJ not to enforce the federal Defense of Marriage Act. In doing so, Holder has violated his oath of office and clearly shows his violation of the laws of Nature and Nature’s God.

Fast and Furious:

As we all know, Eric Holder is guilty of putting thousands of assault rifles into the hands of Mexican drug lords in an attempt to blame the American people for the crimes administration officials are guilty of contriving and committing. As a result, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed, along with hundreds of Mexican civilians, including teens at a birthday party and a Mexican beauty queen.

Black Panther Voter Scandal:

Soon after being sworn in as Obama’s attorney general, Holder ordered the voter intimidation case against the Black Panthers during the 2008 presidential election to be dropped.

Marc Rich Pardon:

During his tenure as Clinton’s deputy attorney general, Holder was involved

RNC Passes Unanimous Resolution Affirming GOP Is Still Against Gay Marriage

By The Huffington Post News Editors

RNC committee members gathered at their annual spring conference in Los Angeles voted unanimously on Friday to approve a number of resolutions, including one to reaffirm that the GOP still opposes gay marriage, Time’s Zeke J. Miller reported.

“[T]he Republican National Committee affirms its support for marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and as the optimum environment in which to raise healthy children for the future of America; and be it further resolved, the Republican National Committee implores the U. S. Supreme Court to uphold the sanctity of marriage in its rulings on California’s Proposition 8 and the Federal Defense of Marriage Act,” the resolution, first obtained by Chris Moody of Yahoo News, read.

Miller reports that the resolution was submitted by RNC committeeman Dave Agema, a Michigan Republican who has drawn criticism for calling gays and lesbians “filthy” and comparing them to people who were “dying of alcoholism.”

Homosexuality: The Political Battering Ram

By Bradlee Dean

“I believe granting liberty to gay people advances a compelling government interest, that such an interest cannot be adequately advanced if “pockets of resistance” to a societal statement of equality are permitted to flourish, and hence that a law that permits no individual exceptions based on religious beliefs will be the least restrictive means of achieving the goal of liberty for gay people.”

Chai Feldblum, an open Lesbian who was nominated to serve as a Commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by Barack Hussein Obama

The lid has yet again been blown off of the radical homosexual agenda. As the Supreme Court held hearings on the Defense of Marriage Act and Proposition 8, Obama spent $350 million on sexual indoctrination classes for children. The timing is impeccable.

Through the Personal Responsibility Education Program, students will be taught that no type of sex is wrong and that the only “unsafe” behavior is becoming pregnant.

One can look to New York City, which implemented a similar type of sexual indoctrination on NYC schools in 2011. This curriculum is taught to grades 5, 8, and 10, which students receive standardized testing on.

Here are some examples of their twisted curriculum:

  • High-school students go to stores and jot down condom brands, prices, and features such as lubrication.
  • Teens research a route from school to a clinic that provides birth control and STD tests and write down its confidentiality policy. (Interesting, I will say that again – they are to write down the confidentiality policy. Did you hear that, parents?)
  • Kids ages 11 and 12 sort “risk cards” to rate the safety of various activities, including “intercourse using a condom and an oil-based lubricant,’’ mutual masturbation, French kissing, oral sex, and anal sex.
  • Teens are referred to resources such as Columbia University’s website Go Ask Alice, which explores topics like “doggie-style” and other positions, “sadomasochistic sex play,” phone sex, oral sex with braces, fetishes, porn stars, vibrators, and bestiality. (See Exodus 22:19 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Do not those who developed this curriculum belong in jail?

Within a year after this perversion was implemented, an article was released in the Wall Street Journal that revealed cases of sexual misconduct by teachers and that the teachers’ unions were protecting the teachers who received little to no consequence for their crimes against children.

For example, teacher William Scharbach was found to have inappropriately touched and held young boys. “Respondent’s actions at best give the appearance of impropriety and at worst suggest pedophilia,” wrote the arbitrator, the fox in the chicken coop who was hired by the union to protect the union, before giving the teacher only a reprimand. The teacher didn’t deny the touching but denied that it was inappropriate. This is criminal!

Also coinciding with the radical push for sexual deviancy upon America’s children, we cannot forget about Dan Savage, a radical homosexual who dared God’s justice by authoring a book titled “Skipping Towards Gomorrah.” Savage uses the guise of anti-bullying with his Obama-endorsed organization “It Gets Better” – which is nothing but an attempt

God (Not SCOTUS) Will Be The Final Judge On Gay “Marriage”

By Fred Weinberg

There seems to have been a shift in the Republican party away from opposing so-called gay marriage and towards an acceptance of homosexuals being able to be married with the state’s imprimatur.

I can understand Senator Rob Portman’s position.  His son is gay, and he is still his son, and he loves him.

I saw Nicole Wallace on Fox News Sunday taking a similar position.  She worked in the Bush 43 White House.  I certainly understand Vice President Dick Cheney’s position because his situation is similar to Portman’s.

Here is my problem with all of that.

The state’s imprimatur.

As I have said many times in this space, what you do on your own time and who you do it with is your own business, and I don’t really care.

But.  Please include me out.

I don’t care if you covet Paris Hilton or Perez Hilton; but why do I need to know about it, much less be forced to approve of it?

If two people of the same sex want to set up housekeeping, they can enter into a civil union, which should give them every right that a married couple has.  And, for the record, I think the federal government should only involve itself in marriage where it is forced to (and, thus, parts of the Defense of Marriage Act probably ARE unconstitutional.)

Why is it so important for me to do anything but wish a gay couple well?

And by me, I mean all of us.

Truth be told, I don’t really know whether or not God believes that homosexuality is fundamentally wrong or that marriage is between a man and a woman.  However, he certainly arranged our plumbing to accommodate that theory.

I suspect that people on my side of the argument may eventually lose to a pop culture that places a heavy value on doing whatever feels good at the moment; and there will be, on the surface, acceptance of gay marriage.

If that’s the case, I’m glad I won’t be around to see the long-term effects.  Ultimately, it won’t be Antonin Scalia or Ruth Bader Ginsburg making the judgments. It will be a much higher authority, and I suspect that it will be loud and clear.

How do I know?

I don’t.  But, being willing to make a wager, I can calculate odds.  Let me quote William Shatner’s “Boston Legal” character, Denny Crane, when asked if he believed in God and why:

“If you believe in God and it turns out there is no God, there’s no harm no foul. . .but if you don’t believe in God and there is a God, you’re screwed.”

So, you need to ask yourself a question.  And, as the number of your tomorrows becomes significantly fewer than your yesterdays, the question may be more pressing.

The question is: do you want to bet against God?  For all eternity? Those seem like pretty big odds, even for a value player.

I cannot tell you whether there …read more

Greg Mulholland, British MP, Calls For Separation of Civil, Religious Marriage In Gay Fight

By The Huffington Post News Editors

A SEPARATION of state marriage and religious weddings would be brought in under proposed changes to the Government’s legislation on same-sex unions.

Senior Liberal Democrat MP Greg Mulholland has tabled amendments to the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill which would radically change the institution of marriage and would also be seen as a step towards the disestablishment of the Church of England.

Mr Mulholland‘s proposals, which will be strongly opposed by many MPs, would mean the repeal of the Marriage Act 1949 and of the Civil Partnership Act 2004, removing clauses in the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 for the ending of marriages on the grounds of adultery or non-consummation, and banning any religious service during a state marriage overseen by a civil union registrar.
