Do pro-choice leftists really support abortion “on-demand” because their sex life is at stake? Well, the #BroChoice movement does.

Did you catch The Rev. Jesse Jackson the other night on CNN demanding a Senate hearing into why regulators never cracked down on that gruesome abortion clinic in Philadelphia?
Did you hear Al Sharpton on MSNBC saying that if Dr. Gosnell had been killing white babies in Bryn Mawr, his women’s clinic would have been shut down 30 years ago?
Did you see the tears in Oprah’s eyes when she read that passage from the grand jury report describing Gosnell’s abortion mill as “a baby charnel house” that “regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy — and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors”?
Didn’t think so.
Where are America’s black leaders? Where are the president and the first lady?
From the pulpits to the Oval Office, black leaders have been shamefully silent on the case of Kermit Gosnell, the so-called doctor who made his fortune killing babies and endangering the health of women — mostly black babies and black women.
Gosnell is now on trial in Philadelphia, charged with the deaths of one woman and seven babies that were older than 24 weeks and had been born alive.
Of course, this modern Joseph is innocent until proven guilty. But the 280-page grand jury report about what went on at his clinic, available online, is a catalogue of horror and criminality.
Quoting many witnesses and former clinic employees, it details the filthy conditions at the clinic, the demeaning way non-white patients were treated, and the incompetent and ill-trained staff.
The grand jury report also shows that for decades, several state agencies repeatedly failed to do their oversight — even after being informed by patients, doctors, and attorneys that horrible things were going on at the clinic.
Local news outlets in Philadelphia also clearly failed to do their job. Like the pro-choice journalists who run newspapers and TV stations across the country, they apparently had zero interest in scrutinizing the day-to-day operations or conditions of an abortion clinic in their city.
Black leaders have been conspicuously tongue-tied on the Gosnell case, even though minority women were his prime victims and blacks account for a disproportionate percent of the country’s abortions.
But at least some national media giants have been shamed by pro-life politicians and honest pundits into finally giving Gosnell’s case the attention deserved by a story about dead babies, exploited women, racism, and government failure.
What happened to those babies and women in Philadelphia is more than a wake-up call for the news media to cover abortion fairly and begin scrutinizing the operations of their local clinics.
Gosnell’s clinic of horrors — and other abortion factories that we’ve yet to hear about — is exactly what we in the pro-life movement have been warning about since the early seventies.
It’s where we always said the slippery slope of Roe v. Wade leads. We’re no longer aborting babies. We’re murdering them after they’re born.

As Kermit Gosnell, the Philadelphia abortionist accused of savagely butchering countless newborns at his clinic, stands trial this week, many conservatives recall the extreme views of the Obamas on the issue of partial-birth abortion.
Just as the media refuse to give the Gosnell story the attention it obviously deserves for fear of painting the sacred cow of abortion in a negative light, evidence showing the president’s support for a violent form of infanticide is similarly disregarded.
Michelle Obama herself used that support in a campaign plea prior to her husband’s 2004 U.S. Senate bid.
The procedure, which by any definition involves at least partially delivering a live baby and snuffing out that new life outside of the womb, is a “legitimate medical procedure,” she wrote before begging constituents to buy a $150 ticket to the Women for Obama Luncheon.
Calling any ban on the barbaric procedure “unconstitutional,” she contended that the Bush administration believed “so zealously in their cause that the privacy rights of patients [were] under assault.”
The murder of otherwise healthy babies – whether facilitated in the unsanitary exam rooms of Kermit Gosnell or supported by the president of the United States – should be an affront to anyone’s sensibilities.
Instead, one is standing trial (albeit amid a media blackout), and the other is heralded as a champion of women’s rights.

During the testimony phase of Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s murder trial, some reprehensible and unfathomable allegations have surfaced about the conditions and practices of his abortion clinic.
One employee confessed on the stand that, under Gosnell’s orders, she cut the spines of 10 or more babies to sadistically murder them. Gosnell and at least one colleague also engaged in the barbaric practice, she testified.
In another unbelievable incident, the medical assistant told the court of one dead child left in her office from an abortion conducted almost 30 weeks into the pregnancy.
Given the baby’s color and size, she said she firmly believed he could have easily survived outside of the womb. The emotional witness testified that Gosnell callously mused that the child was large enough to walk to the bus stop.
The jury saw photos of the viable human’s corpse and even heard from his mother, who was a minor with one child already. She suffered through three days of abortion procedures and was ultimately hospitalized for two weeks with multiple serious complications.
In all, Gosnell is accused of causing the deaths of several live-birth babies. Additionally, at least one mother died when the doctor reportedly administered too much medication during an abortion.
As if those accusations were not enough, he also allegedly made extra money by selling prescriptions to drug addicts and dealers.
The employee who testified already pleaded guilty to a third-degree murder charge and has been in jail since 2011.
Gosnell’s attorney incredibly accused prosecutors of “lynching” the black doctor and touted the fact he selflessly set up his practice in a poor neighborhood instead of focusing on getting rich. The fact investigators discovered a quarter-million dollars stashed in his home during a search seems to belie that claim, though.
By sharing this tragic story, I’m not implying that all – or even a significant portion – of abortion clinics in America operate under such deplorable conditions. My opinion, though, along with millions of Americans, is that the avoidable death of any child at any age of gestation is an inexcusable injustice and amounts to nothing short of legislated murder.
My hope is that sharing the sordid details of this obviously unscrupulous “doctor” will open some previously closed eyes to this nation’s greatest shame.

According to the pro-life website, Life News (http://www.lifenews.com/), this week, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, our nation marks 40 years of legalized abortion in all fifty states at any time and for any reason throughout pregnancy. That Supreme Court decision has resulted in approximately 55,772,015 abortions – let’s call it what it is – murder of babies, the slaughter of innocent lives. That number may escape you. It is nearly 56-MILLION babies.
Don’t give me that sanitized garbage, by calling these human lives “fetal tissue.” If it is legal in our country to murder them, then they deserve the dignity of being called babies .. children (of God) .. human beings. And please don’t feed me the pathetic liberal female line, “It’s my body and I have a right to choose.” Well lady, you had a right to choose before you hopped into the sack and had unprotected sex. When you forfeited your obligation to do the ‘right thing,’ you gave me and other men and women who believe in the sanctity of life a right to challenge your self-centered view of life.
A very long time ago I was having a conversation with a moderately conservative female friend and we got onto the topic of ‘abortion.’ Her opinion was that women should have the ‘right to choose.’ My question to her was, “Aren’t you thankful that your mother didn’t decide she didn’t feel like going through the hassle of having and raising a kid – you?” She was silent. She is now deceased. Her name was JoAnn.
I said, “JoAnn, I have my rights and you have your rights, but nobody is looking out for the most vulnerable among us, those unborn babies.” She still remained silent. Maybe she knew deep down inside that I was right. I still am.
At another point during my male journey through life, I talked about abortion with a liberal female friend. We have always been close because, though we have always fought like cats and dogs on issues about which we are individually passionate, neither of us has ever feared rejection. I guess that is what real mutual respect is all about.
She said that, of course, she would never have an abortion, but it should be the woman’s “right to choose.” She then went on to talk about all of the poor people in the ghettos and how it was ‘humane’ to abort because if those kids were born, they weren’t wanted anyhow and would never have the love or opportunities that others have. WHAT LIBERAL TRIPE! Not ONCE did it occur to her that maybe that unborn kid should have a say in the final decision. My goodness, the kid might have become President – instead of what we are now stuck with for another four years.
I apologize not if I offend you, but a nation which allows almost 60-million babies to be murdered, is hypocritical to act concerned about the lives which are taken because of deranged individuals firing weapons in public places. Believe me, guns kill far fewer human beings nationwide than do Planned Parenthood encouraged/financed (?) abortion assembly lines.
The liberals say, “Take away the weapons and the killings will go away.” Dream on, little libbie. However, if you make requirements for abortion (excluding issues regarding the mother’s life or incest) much more strict, and cut the federal mandate that employers must even participate (under penalty of law) in this infant genocide, then maybe lives will actually be saved. The lives which have no representation except for those of us who realize they are the most defenseless among us. In this issue, I can say, without hesitation, that “GOD is on our side.”
