Obama’s “Phony” Scandals

By Rock Peters

Democrat Donkey Scandals Train SC Obamas Phony Scandals

“With an endless parade of distractions, political posturing, and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball,” Barack Obama said in a speech at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. on July 24, 2013.

“If four Americans get killed, it’s not OPTIMAL.”–Obama’s calloused, abnormally detached, and incredibly narcissistic response to Comedy Central’s John Stewart’s question about the changing story of the Benghazi attack.

Does Obama think that the Muslim terrorist attack on our consulate in Libya on 9/11/2012 didn’t really happen and that four Americans (Ambassador Chris Stevens, Glenn Doherty, Sean Smith, and Ty Woods) weren’t actually murdered?

The Obama Laundry List of Phony Scandals

1. IRS targets Obama’s enemies: The IRS targeted conservative and pro-Israel groups prior to the 2012 election. Questions are being raised about why this occurred, who ordered it, whether there was any White House involvement, and whether there was an initial effort to hide who knew about the targeting and when.

2. Benghazi: This is actually three treasonous scandals into one:

a) The failure of the administration to protect the Benghazi mission.

b) The Obama administration changed the talking points in order to suggest the attack was motivated by an anti-Muslim video.

c) The intense stonewalling, complete shutdown, and absolute refusal of the White House to say what President Obama did the night of the attack.

d) Breaking 200 plus years of honorable American military tradition to never leave any solider behind.

3. Spying on the the AP: The Justice Department stole a plethora of Associated Press reporters’ phone records as part of a leak investigation.

4. James Rosengate: The Justice Department suggested that Fox News reporter James Rosen is a criminal for reporting about classified information and subsequently monitored his phones and emails.

5. The Holder perjury I: Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress that he had never been associated with “potential prosecution” of a journalist for perjury when, in fact, he personally signed the affidavit that alleged Fox News reporter James Rosen was a potential criminal.

6. The ATF “Fast and Furious” debacle: Allowed weapons from the U.S. to “walk” across the border into the hands of Mexican drug dealers. The ATF lost track of hundreds of firearms, many of which were used in crimes (including the December 2010 killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.)

7. Holder Perjury II: During congressional hearings held on May 3, 2011, Congressman Darrell Issa asked AG Eric Holder when he first knew about the “Fast and Furious” gun walking scheme. Eric Holder replied under oath: “I am not sure about the exact date but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.” Holder flat out lied to Congress under oath;”Project Gun Runner” (Fast and Furious) was launched by Obama with Holder’s full knowledge on March 24, 2009. Holder is guilty of perjury and should be arrested.

8. Secretary Kathleen Sebelius runs an extortion racket: HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited donations from companies HHS might regulate. The money would be used to help her sign up uninsured Americans for ObamaCare.

9. The Pigford scandal: A U.S. Agriculture Department effort that began as an …read more

Bill Cosby’s ‘Far From Finished’: New Concert TV Special To Air On Comedy Central

By The Huffington Post News Editors

Bill Cosby will return to TV with a new concert special titled “Far From Finished,” which will air on Comedy Central in November, the network announced Friday.

“Far From Finished” marks Cosby’s first television concert special in 30 years, and will air on November 24. The special is comprised of footage taken from the TV icon’s recent performance at the Cerritos Performing Arts Center, and is directed by Robert Townsend.

Cosby’s last special was “Bill Cosby, Himself” in 1983, which was aptly directed by the comedian. The routines in the concert became the partial basis for “The Cosby Show,” the hit series that ran from 1984 to 1992, reinvigorated NBC and gave us a collective cultural obsession with Cliff Huxtable’s vast sweater collection.

Mark Sanford, Elizabeth Colbert Busch Gear Up For Campaign

By The Huffington Post News Editors

By Harriet McLeod
CHARLESTON, S.C., April 4 (Reuters) – Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch kicked off her general election campaign for South Carolina’s open congressional seat on Thursday, her sights set on beating former Governor Mark Sanford after he clinched the Republican nomination this week.
Colbert Busch, the sister of television comedian and political satirist Stephen Colbert, handily won last month’s Democratic primary. But she kept a low profile as 16 Republicans battled for a spot in the special election on May 7.
Sanford, 52, prevailed despite a 2009 scandal that had seemingly doomed his political career. As governor, he tried to hide an extramarital affair with an Argentine woman by falsely telling aides he was hiking the Appalachian Trail.
In an interview with WTMA radio after his primary runoff win on Tuesday, Sanford said his Democratic opponent for the seat he held for three terms before becoming governor was undefined on the issues.
Right now in essence, we’re running against Stephen Colbert. It’s going to be tough running against a comedian who is well liked and has ties to the Lowcountry, but ultimately issues define a race,” said Sanford, referring to the coastal region in South Carolina where the race is taking place.
Sanford’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Colbert Busch, 58, hit back with a statement detailing her work history, which included serving as director of sales and marketing for the Orient Overseas Container Line shipping company.
She is now on leave as business development director for the Clemson University Restoration Institute in North Charleston to make her first run for office.
“I was disappointed to hear about Mark’s comment,” she said. “He has known me and my work for years…If those successes can’t convince Mark that a woman is capable of leading, I don’t know what will.”
Stephen Colbert weighed in on the race Wednesday night on his Comedy Central show “The Colbert Report.” …read more

Judge's fight to keep comedy career reaches New Jersey Supreme Court

A judge in New Jersey is asking the state’s highest court to have a sense of humor.

Attorneys for Vince A. Sicari plan to argue in front of the New Jersey Supreme Court on Tuesday that the part-time municipal court judge should be allowed to keep his other paying gig as a comedian.

Sicari is appealing a 2008 state ethics committee ruling that he can’t continue working as a paid entertainer while on the bench.

Sicari, who performs under the name Vince August, said in court filings he has always kept his identity as a South Hackensack municipal court judge separate, and “there is never mention in either profession of the other.”

He insists in court papers that he never even makes lawyer jokes or anything that could tarnish the profession. He claims much of his comedy is derived from non-work related personal observations, such as his upbringing as an Italian Catholic.

The Committee on Extra-Judicial Activities in 2010 reaffirmed its decision that he could not continue as a paid performer/entertainer.

Committee members said they were concerned that the “content of his comedy routine could give rise to an appearance of bias, partiality or impropriety or otherwise negatively affect the dignity of the judiciary,” according to court papers.

Sicari countered that he should be able to supplement his $13,000 a year income as a part-time judge “while actively engaged in an entertainment career which provides me a substantial portion of my income.”

He says he’s made hundreds of stand-up comedy appearances a year, including at a New York City comedy club where he has performed since 1997, on network television, as a warm-up for Comedy Central audiences and in film. He’s a member of the Screen Actors Guild and other professional performers unions.

The committee cites rules that judges may hold outside positions including gigs as musicians, as long as they don’t get paid, or play at casinos, political events or in scenarios that could present a conflict of interest. They also cite a prior ruling that determined “a municipal court judge may not appear in a TV commercial for Shredded Wheat.”

Sicari argues in his appeal that he takes both his entertainment and his legal job seriously.

“This issue is about a person who affects lives in many ways in two distinct identities,” he said in a court filing.

North Chicago police slammed for brochure some find offensive

The North Chicago Police Department is being criticized for a brochure that some say is peppered with stereotypes of African-Americans.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the brochure, given to participants in the North Chicago Citizen Police Academy last week, features a smiling African-American man handcuffed in an orange prison jumpsuit, with another portrayed as bug-eyed and slack-jawed in a mug shot.

There is also a page with a picture of comedian Dave Chappelle appearing as Tyrone Biggums, the stumbling junkie character he created for his Comedy Central show.

Lake County NAACP president Jennifer Witherspoon said the handout reinforces “every negative stereotype blacks as a people have been fighting against.”

Lake County State’s Attorney Mike Nerheim calls the handout “incredibly disturbing.”

The brochure’s cover features Nerheim opposite Tom Cruise as a military defense attorney from the film “A Few Good Men.” The brochure also has pictures of television TV cop Barney Fife, Judge Judy and Lindsay Lohan, big-bellied white police officers and acquitted murder defendant Casey Anthony.

“Unprofessional is probably the nicest way to put it,” Nerheim said. “It was obviously done without my knowledge and consent. I definitely see how it could be offensive to people. It’s not something that should be coming out of the Police Department.”

Nerheim said he called North Chicago Mayor Leon Rockingham about the handout.

Rockingham said the two academy participants he talked to about the circular were split, with one saying they didn’t find it offensive, the other saying it could be taken the wrong way.

North Chicago Police Chief James Jackson is calling the handout an ill-considered attempt at humor.

“We should have caught it,” said Jackson.

However, local activist Ralph Peterson says the brochure raises “another red flag” on the North Chicago police.

“It’s more bad judgment. For officers to pass out a pamphlet like this screams a need for sensitivity and that this department is not capable of policing the black community,” he said, pointing to a police brutality case that has the department snared in a federal wrongful-death lawsuit.

Academy student Paula Carballido, of North Chicago, said an officer explained the images were taken from movies and TV and were not meant to offend. She said the course, which offers an in-depth view of law enforcement procedures, was informative and “respectful.”

South Park Creators to Start Own Studio

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are set to start their own production studio, The New York Times reports.

It seems that investors, much like the South Park Gnomes, have been convinced that Parker+Stone+total creative control=$$$$$$$$$. Given Parker and Stone’s track record, both the investors and the Gnomes are likely correct.

The combined earning power of South Park, now in its 16th Season on Comedy Central, and the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, has given the company “an estimated value of $300 million built on revenue.” Mormon continues to yield significant profits with the New York production earning $1.6 million a week, the tour an additional $1.6 million a week and the Chicago production $1.5 million a week. The play is also set to open in London.
