“With an endless parade of distractions, political posturing, and phony scandals, Washington has taken its eye off the ball,” Barack Obama said in a speech at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill. on July 24, 2013.

“If four Americans get killed, it’s not OPTIMAL.”–Obama’s calloused, abnormally detached, and incredibly narcissistic response to Comedy Central’s John Stewart’s question about the changing story of the Benghazi attack.

Does Obama think that the Muslim terrorist attack on our consulate in Libya on 9/11/2012 didn’t really happen and that four Americans (Ambassador Chris Stevens, Glenn Doherty, Sean Smith, and Ty Woods) weren’t actually murdered?

The Obama Laundry List of Phony Scandals

 

1. IRS targets Obama’s enemies: The IRS targeted conservative and pro-Israel groups prior to the 2012 election. Questions are being raised about why this occurred, who ordered it, whether there was any White House involvement, and whether there was an initial effort to hide who knew about the targeting and when.

2. Benghazi: This is actually three treasonous scandals into one:

a) The failure of the administration to protect the Benghazi mission.

b) The Obama administration changed the talking points in order to suggest the attack was motivated by an anti-Muslim video.

c) The intense stonewalling, complete shutdown, and absolute refusal of the White House to say what President Obama did the night of the attack.

d) Breaking 200 plus years of honorable American military tradition to never leave any solider behind.

3. Spying on the the AP: The Justice Department stole a plethora of Associated Press reporters’ phone records as part of a leak investigation.

4. James Rosengate: The Justice Department suggested that Fox News reporter James Rosen is a criminal for reporting about classified information and subsequently monitored his phones and emails.

5. The Holder perjury I: Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress that he had never been associated with “potential prosecution” of a journalist for perjury when, in fact, he personally signed the affidavit that alleged Fox News reporter James Rosen was a potential criminal.

6. The ATF “Fast and Furious” debacle: Allowed weapons from the U.S. to “walk” across the border into the hands of Mexican drug dealers. The ATF lost track of hundreds of firearms, many of which were used in crimes (including the December 2010 killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.)

7. Holder Perjury II: During congressional hearings held on May 3, 2011, Congressman Darrell Issa asked AG Eric Holder when he first knew about the “Fast and Furious” gun walking scheme. Eric Holder replied under oath: “I am not sure about the exact date but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.” Holder flat out lied to Congress under oath;”Project Gun Runner” (Fast and Furious) was launched by Obama with Holder’s full knowledge on March 24, 2009. Holder is guilty of perjury and should be arrested.

8. Secretary Kathleen Sebelius runs an extortion racket: HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited donations from companies HHS might regulate. The money would be used to help her sign up uninsured Americans for ObamaCare.

Obama Promise of Change SC Obama keeps his promise...

In a surprising acknowledgement of the truth, the Associated Press has reported that “Four out of 5 U.S. adults struggle with joblessness, near poverty or reliance on welfare for at least parts of their lives, a sign of deteriorating economic security and an elusive American dream.” The damning report, based on what the AP calls exclusive survey data, continues with “…the widening gap between rich and poor and loss of good-paying manufacturing jobs as reasons for the trend.”

Given Barack Obama’s latest “pivot” toward the problems of unemployed Americans – which by some accounts was his 19th announced such “pivot”- the AP’s swerve into the truth is encouraging.

Obama’s pious speeches emphasizing that his highest priority is rebuilding the “ladders of opportunity” aside, the AP’s reports  that whites now see their futures evaporating on his watch. White Americans (who are 68% of our population) are more pessimistic today than at any time in the past 25 years, with over 60% of white Americans describing our economy as “poor.”

In a rarely seen and very stinging acknowledgement of the truth from our mainstream media, the AP reports that white insecurities and economic fears are “more pervasive than is shown in government data..” More than 75% of whites who are at or near 60 years old suffer anxiety over their financial future.

Other important findings from this “cat out of the bag” report are equally damning of Barack Obama’s fraudulent “fight for America’s [white] middle class.”

  • More than 19 million whites are living under the $23,021 per family of four poverty line.
  • Poor whites in America make up 41%, or double that of poor blacks.

This is not to say that non-whites are free from economic worries: The AP also reports that 90% of non-whites feel themselves to be financially at risk. Nevertheless, the biggest increases in the rate of poverty by ethnic group are being experienced by whites, with 76% enduring at least some periods of joblessness or dependence on public assistance during their lifetime.

The statistics included in this report are stark refutations of Obama’s claims to be working to make our lives better. He ran on a promise to fundamentally change America, and he is fulfilling his promise. Those who voted for him and the media who lied for him are getting what they voted for. Now even his cheerleaders at the Associated Press have started to report the truth. Maybe that light at the far end of the tunnel is sunlight; but maybe it’s another truck driven by Obama. Time will tell.

At least 10 suspected Nazi war criminals ordered deported by the United States never left the country, according to an Associated Press review of Justice Department data — and four are living in the U.S. today. All remained eligible for public benefits such as Social Security until they exhausted appeals, and in one case even beyond.

Belize SC Feds to Spend $500K for Job Creation – in Belize

(CNSNews.com) – The State Department through the U.S. Mission to Belize is planning to spend $500,000 to create jobs for youth in Belize.

“Marginalized youth are empowered when given a voice and opportunities. Equipping marginalized youth and their communities with economic opportunities and/or business training can help them reach their true potential as entrepreneurs and improve citizen security,” the grant announcement said.

The grant proposal seeks to “confront the root causes of violence and crime” in Belize “in a creative and effective way” and “to create positive cultural and social conditions, which are the foundations of a peaceful and orderly society.”

INDIANAPOLIS — Purdue University President Mitch Daniels says he never tried to quash academic freedom while serving as Indiana’s governor and is criticizing an Associated Press report citing emails in which he opposed use of a book by antiwar activist Howard Zinn.

Emails published Tuesday by the AP show Daniels tried to ensure Zinn’s book was not used in Indiana’s K-12 and college classrooms and that he worked to “disqualify the propaganda” he said was being taught to teachers in training at Indiana’s colleges.

Stolen Picasso 'burned in stove' in Romania

A Romanian museum is analysing ashes found in a stove to see if they are the remains of seven paintings by Picasso, Matisse, Monet and others that were stolen last year from the Netherlands, an official has said.

The prosecutor’s spokeswoman, Gabriela Chiru, told Associated Press that Romania‘s National History Museum was examining the ashes found in the stove of Olga Dogaru. She is the mother of Radu Dogaru, one of three Romanian suspects charged with stealing the paintings from Rotterdam’s Kunsthal gallery in a daytime heist.

It was the biggest art theft in more than a decade in the Netherlands. The stolen works have an estimated value of tens of millions of dollars if they were sold at auction….

Reports: Edward Snowden seeks asylum in Russia

Edward Snowden, the leaker of documents that revealed National Security Agency surveillance programs, has submitted a request for temporary asylum in Russia and could be granted a decision within several weeks, according to news reports.

Snowden’s request was submitted Tuesday in an effort to evade persecution from the U.S. government that could bring with it torture or death, said Anatoly Kucherena, Snowden’s attorney, according to reports in the Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press. Russia’s Federal Migration Service is required by law to consider the application within three months, but a decision in Snowden’s case could be made in as soon as two to three weeks, the Journal said.

The request is being made for “temporary asylum,” not permanent political asylum, because the latter takes longer to consider, the AP said. Under Russian law, political asylum is granted by presidential decree and is not granted often, whereas temporary asylum is akin to refugee status and usually lasts for a renewable period of one year, reports said.

WikiLeaks, the nonprofit news-spilling organization that has been advising Snowden, could not be immediately reached to confirm the reports. Officials at the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C., as well as the Consulate General of Russia in San Francisco, also could not be reached.

NH woman gets 10 years in Rwanda fraud case

A New Hampshire woman who lied about her role in the 1994 Rwanda genocide has been sentenced to 10 years in prison, a fate her lawyers say is tantamount to a death sentence.

Rwanda native Beatrice Munyenyezi remained stoic as U.S. District Judge Steven McAuliffe sentenced her to the maximum prison time. She declined her right to address the court.

Munyenyezi, 43, was convicted in February of entering the United States and securing citizenship by lying about her role as a commander of one of the notorious roadblocks where Tutsis were singled out for slaughter. She also denied affiliation with any political party, despite her husband’s leadership role in the extremist Hutu militia party.

McAuliffe acknowledged she has led a crime-free and productive life since her arrival in New Hampshire in 1998 but said it was a life lived under false pretenses.

Federal prosecutors had sought the maximum prison sentence, saying she’s as guilty as if she wielded the machete herself.

During the 1994 genocide, at least 500,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were killed in a campaign of mass murder orchestrated by Hutu extremists.

Munyenyezi’s lawyers say they will appeal her conviction to the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals — a move that is expected to delay deportation proceedings.

Through two trials and the three years since her indictment in 2010, Munyenyezi has remained silent. She did not testify and declined an Associated Press request for an interview in the wake of her first trial ending a mistrial in 2012.

She has spent most of those three years in custody and apart from her three daughters, ages 18-20.

Her lawyers portrayed her as the victim of lies by Rwandan witnesses who never before implicated her through nearly two decades of investigations and trials — even when testifying against her husband and his mother before the International Criminal Tribunal on Rwanda.

Prosecutors maintained that she was a liar who “gamed” the immigration system to fraudulently obtain the “golden ticket” of citizenship. She swore on immigration and naturalization forms that she persecuted no one, had no affiliation with any political party and even cast herself as a victim of the genocide by saying family members “disappeared.”

Afghans investigating how NATO killer escaped

Afghan officials say they’re trying to determine how an Afghan army soldier who opened fire on Slovakian NATO troops, killing one and wounding six, was able to escape from custody.

Afghan Gen. Abdul Hameed said Monday that suspect Lamber Khan had help from at least one other Afghan soldier in fleeing Sunday morning.

Hameed says the soldier took Khan from detention to a military hospital saying he needed medical attention, and fled with him from there. Authorities are trying to determine if others aided in the escape.

NATO-forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Heinz Feldmann says the coalition has “full confidence” the Afghans will recapture Khan.

The Slovakian soldier killed in Kandahar last week was the ninth NATO service member killed by Afghan forces this year, according to an Associated Press count.

Canadian freed after 18 months in Mauritanian jail

A Mauritanian official says a 24-year-old Canadian man was sentenced to 18 months in prison after being convicted of having ties to al-Qaida’s North African branch but he will be freed because he has already served his time.

Prosecutor Ahmed Ould Abdalla told the Associated Press late Sunday that the court decided to release Canadian national Aaron Yoon because he had already been imprisoned for the duration of his sentence. He was first arrested in December of 2011.

Yoon said he travelled to Mauritania to study the Quran. He reportedly travelled to the region with two other Canadians, who were later implicated in a separate terror attack on a BP-operated natural gas plant in southeastern Algeria earlier this year, which ended with the deaths of 37 hostages.

Whistle-blowing state official fired after testimony in Zimmerman trial

The special prosecutor appointed to the George Zimmerman case has sacked a whistle-blowing colleague who testified at the trial that the state attorney’s office failed to comply with the rules of discovery.

Ben Kruidbos, the state attorney’s office IT director, was reportedly fired in the wake of rendering testimony during a June 6 hearing that was potentially damaging to the prosecution regarding cell phone photos and text messages discovered on Trayvon Martin’s phone that were not furnished to defense attorneys.

The Orlando Sentinel reports Kruidbos received a scathing letter from State Attorney Angela Corey’s office Friday morning, calling him untrustworthy and adding he “can never again be trusted to step foot in this office.”

However, the Associated Press reports that Kruidbos received the pink slip Thursday, which accused him of misconduct and “violating numerous state attorney’s office policies and procedures.” Specifically, the letter reportedly accused him of disclosing confidential information, sabotage of property or equipment, and misuse of equipment.

The cell phone photos reportedly depict, among other things, a clump of jewelry on a bed, underage nude females, marijuana plants, as well as a hand menacingly holding a semiautomatic pistol.

Zimmerman’s attorneys were reportedly seeking sanctions against the state for not properly turning over the evidence from Martin’s phone. Judge Debra Nelson said she would revisit the matter at the trial’s end.

WASHINGTON, July 12 (Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department on Friday proposed curbing the ability of prosecutors to seize reporters’ records while investigating leaks to the media, after complaints that journalists’ rights were violated in recent high-profile cases.
A revised set of guidelines proposed by the department said that search warrants would not be sought against journalists carrying out “ordinary news-gathering activities.”
In another change, the department would in most instances notify news organizations in advance if a subpoena is being sought to obtain phone records.
The changes were contained in a report which the department prepared at the request of President Barack Obama and which was given to the president by Attorney General Eric Holder on Friday.
The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and the Newspaper Association of America praised the changes but both said that they fell short of what was needed.
“We continue to believe that an impartial judge should be involved when there is a demand for a reporter’s records, because so many important rights hinge on the ability to test the government’s need for records,” the Reporters Committee said in an emailed statement.
NAA called for a federal shield law, which would also mandate a federal judge review any request for confidential source information.
Two cases sparked debate earlier this year about whether the Justice Department had been overzealous in investigating government leaks and had infringed on rights of free speech.
In one, prosecutors obtained a warrant to search Fox News correspondent James Rosen’s emails. He was named a “co-conspirator” in a federal leaks probe involving his reporting on North Korea.
In the other, the Justice Department seized Associated Press phone records without prior notification as part of a probe into leaks about a 2012 Yemen-based plot to bomb a U.S. airliner. …read more

Army says its helicopters buzzed Washington city

Army special operations helicopters on a training exercise buzzed around the small city of Port Angeles, Wash., late Thursday in an episode that the mayor says “terrorized my city.”

An Army official apologized Friday for the unannounced training mission.

Dozens of alarmed residents called police to ask what was going on.

“No one had any warning about the helicopters, no one said anything afterward, and today city officials had to spend hours just trying to find out what had happened — who had invaded Port Angeles,” said Cherie Kidd, mayor of the Olympic Peninsula city about 60 miles west of Seattle.

The Army said the helicopters involved included both twin-engine Chinooks and Blackhawk attack helicopters.

The training exercise involved part of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, which is based at Fort Campbell, Ky., but has individual units in various locations, said Sgt. Jimmy Norris, an I Corps spokesman at Joint Base Lewis-McChord near Tacoma, Wash. Part of the 160th is based at Lewis-McChord, he said.

“Our watch commander last night reported that we received ‘dozens of calls’ complaining about low-flying helicopters over the city,” Deputy Police Chief Brian Smith said.

After multiple calls to Puget Sound-area military bases, Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict was finally able to determine about mid-day Friday that the helicopters belonged to the Army, The Peninsula Daily News reported (http://is.gd/QaMw82d).

Army Col. H. Charles “Chuck” Hodges Jr., garrison commander at Lewis-McChord, told the newspaper that he had launched an investigation and was meeting with unit commanders at the base.

“I apologize, this is totally unacceptable,” he said.

Hodges said the helicopters — he mentioned four Chinooks — were over Port Angeles from about 11:15 p.m. to shortly before midnight Thursday.

An Army spokesman for Hodges’ office did not immediately return an Associated Press phone call Friday evening.

Kidd said she plans to meet Monday with Hodges at the base about 90 miles south of Port Angeles.

A World War II veteran who provided the flag in the famous flag-raising on Iwo Jima has died. Alan Wood was 90.

Wood’s son, Steven, says his father died April 18 of natural causes at his Sierra Madre home.

Wood was in charge of communications on a landing ship on Iwo Jima‘s shores when a Marine asked him for the biggest flag that he could find. Wood handed him a flag he had found in Pearl Harbor.

Five Marines and a Navy Corpsman later raised the flag on Mount Suribachi as Allied forces struggled to capture the Japanese-held island. The stirring moment was captured in an iconic image by Associated Press photographer Joe Rosenthal.

Steven Wood says his father was always humbled by his small role in the historic moment.

Taliban promises more insider attacks on foreign troops in annual Spring offensive

The Taliban on Saturday announced the start of their spring offensive, signaling plans to step up attacks as the weather warms across Afghanistan, making both travel and fighting easier.

The statement comes toward the end of a month that already has been the deadliest of the year.

The militant group’s leadership vowed that “every possible tactic will be utilized in order to detain or inflict heavy casualties on the foreign transgressors.”

It said that will include more so-called insider attacks by members of the Afghan security forces against their colleagues or foreign troops.

Such attacks threaten the strength of the Afghan forces as they work to take over responsibility from international forces. The latest one occurred in March, when a member of Afghanistan‘s government-backed militia program shot and killed five of his colleagues in Badghis province in northwest Afghanistan.

In a sign of Taliban’s determination to replace Afghanistan‘s government with one promoting a stricter interpretation of Islamic law, they named their new offensive after a legendary Muslim military commander, Khalid ibn al-Walid. Also known as “the Drawn Sword of God,” he was a companion of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.

U.S.-backed efforts to try to reconcile the Islamic militant movement with the Afghan government have so far failed.

Insurgents intensified attacks this spring as they try to position themselves for power ahead of national elections and the planned withdrawal of most U.S. and other foreign combat troops by the end of 2014.

April has already been the worst month for combat deaths so far this year. According to an Associated Press tally, 257 people — including civilians, Afghan security forces and foreign troops — have been killed in violence around the nation. During that time 217 insurgents have died.

Last year during the month of April, 179 civilians, foreign troops and Afghan security forces were killed and 268 insurgents.

Still, the top U.S. commander in Kabul, Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford, said Wednesday that the security situation has improved across the country.

“As the traditional fighting season begins, the insurgency will confront a combined ” Afghan force of 350,000 soldiers and police, he said.

“The insurgency can no longer use the justification that it is fighting foreign occupiers — that message rings hollow,” Dunford said in a statement.

Norma Joan Brennan Crashes Car Into Target While Getting Driving Tips: Cops

She was REALLY on Target.

Norma Joan Brennan, 79, was on her way to get driver’s license restored Thursday when she crashed through the front doors of a Target store in Ocala, Fla., the Associated Press reported.

Brennan’s passenger and the owner of the car, Rev. Kevin Holsapple, told police that he was giving her some driving tips in the parking lot when she pressed down on the gas pedal instead of the brake, according to the Ocala Star-Banner.
