In his decades as the face of Kool-Aid, the Kool-Aid Man has been known primarily for bursting through walls to offer up his namesake beverage with an “Oh yeah!” catch phrase. On Monday, Kraft Foods gave their brand “spokespitcher” a tech-savvy new look, introducing him to a 2013 world of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Loyal To The Left, Jim Wallis Supports Gay Marriage

By David Fiorazo

Jim Wallis SC Loyal To The Left, Jim Wallis Supports Gay Marriage

In June of 2010, Reverend Jim Wallis was asked if he believed abortion and homosexuality were sins. Christian radio station GM Mike Le May got the answer loud and clear: Wallis shouted at him, called him a “right-wing Kool-Aid drinking Glen Beck follower,” and hung up the phone. I documented the divisive controversy that led to this exchange in my book, ERADICATE, in a chapter on social justice and the Bible.

On Monday, Wallis – being faithful to the Democratic Party platform – openly admitted to supporting same-sex marriage. Not surprisingly, a spokesperson for Wallis’ Sojourners magazine could not say whether or not Wallis believes homosexuality is a sin.

Appointed by President Obama to his White House faith council, some say Wallis is a progressive evangelical because his primary support is from leftists.

In 2011, it was revealed by investigative journalists that Wallis’ Sojourners magazine received hundreds of thousands of dollars from radical socialist George Soros. Why would an anti-American financier like Soros give large grants to Sojourners?

Jim Wallis first denied the Soros connection, saying, “No, we don’t receive money from George Soros… Our money comes from Christians who support us and who read Sojourners.”

Soros is a corrupt billionaire from Hungary aiming to destroy America’s Christian ideals and freedoms that made us a great nation. His hatred for America fuels the financing (over $52 million) of left-wing media outlets and groups, including those promoting abortion, atheism, homosexual activism, socialism, and government expansion. It’s no wonder Jim Wallis tried to hide the truth.

George Soros is working to destroy America’s system of capitalism; this connection between Wallis and Soros should not be ignored.

On their website, Sojourners quotes people like Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, and new age leader Marianne Williamson and emphasizes social justice, environmental activism, diversity, and amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Wallis seems to look at the Bible in light of the world around him rather than looking at the world in light of God’s Word. From his White House platform, Wallis attacks Republicans while calling himself a “nonpartisan evangelical minister” and is very popular among liberals who routinely vilify Christians for their involvement in political issues.

According to Wallis:

As more Christians become influenced by liberation theology, finding themselves increasingly rejecting the values of institutions of capitalism, they will also be drawn to the Marxist analysis and praxis that is so central to the social justice movement.

Early in his career, Wallis founded an anti-capitalist magazine called the Post-American, which identified wealth redistribution and government-managed economies as the keys to achieving social justice. He changed the name to Sojourners in the early 1970s. During his college years at Michigan State, Wallis joined the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a radical organization that aspired to overthrow America’s institutions. Wallis remains opposed to the free market system in America.

Over the years, Jim Wallis has been pro-Vietcong and actually celebrated America’s defeat in Vietnam, stating:

I don’t know how else to express the quiet emotion that rushed through me

The Word “legalize” Is Stupid

By jimmy nunua

War on drugs SC The word “legalize” is stupid

First let me say that I do not use, support, or condone the use of drugs. I do not use any drugs, including alcohol and tobacco, except one prescription drug for prostate issues.

That said, with the onslaught of gun regulations to promote sanity, the war on drugs that promotes much of the insane use of guns, and countless amounts of social insanity because of our laws…we are faced with the empirically tested truth that drugs are here to stay no matter what. We can’t even keep drugs out of the prison system. But we pigheadedly refuses to bring about a new way to deal with drugs and those who choose to use them.

Even God gave people Free Will to choose, but man in his infinite wisdom has decided he knows more than even God when it comes to people. How can man know more than the one who created man? Man truly does not have the right to “legalize” anything! What if we started to legislate Religion or which one of the many Gods you can choose to believe in or not believe in? We allow people to gather in groups and drink poison Kool Aid, but those peace-loving stoner hippies have to be stopped at all costs!

Imaginary arguments rage over what will happen if people are allowed to rule and govern themselves with Free Will just as nature provided. Men have been doing that for millions of years and are still here. But the moral majority seems content to live a lie of hypocrisy, believing themselves to be above the law, the “common man,” and God when it comes to control of peoples’ lives. God simply made another error here, and it is up to man to step in and control everyone. All this does is create hate and rebellion enforcing the behavior that the intended laws were trying to stop.

Cars, alcohol, and tobacco have proven themselves to be more offensive and detrimental than anything else, with the exception of malpractice that kills more people than anything else. But we don’t make alcohol, cars, tobacco, and our “legal drug dealer” doctors illegal? This is insanity! Our country has a bigger problem with doctor pushers and legal drugs  than illegal ones!!!

We need to stop the war on drugs, and the place to start is with neutralizing or naturalizing the social use of natural earth-given plants and holistic herbs (specially hemp for industrial use!!!)  It makes no sense that one group’s drugs of choice (prescription and alcohol) should be looked at as legal while another group’s (God-given from the natural earth) is looked at as bad and evil. This is insane. Where is the Freedom in all of this?

Legislate as necessary to protect the citizenship from people who abuse drugs in violent or dangerous ways (just the same as we do with alcohol). But STOP THE WAR, and much of the gun violence AND drug use will simply go away! Take away the money and lifestyle from drugs, and the business of drugs …read more

3 Things That Can Make SodaStream Pop

By Rick Munarriz, Munarriz, The Motley Fool

Filed under:

It’s been syrupy sweet to be a SodaStream investor these days. After rising a mere 4% in 2011, its first full year as a public company, SodaStream shares moved 37% higher last year and are trading 10% higher so far in 2013.

This has already shaped up to be an exciting year for SodaStream, with its first Super Bowl ad and another market-thumping quarterly report last month. Now this week, the company behind the popular beverage maker that turns tap water into sparkling soda teamed up with another notable partner. Private-label bottler Cott will begin producing SodaStream’s existing flavors at its facility in Georgia.

Centralized regional distribution with a proven soft drink bottler doesn’t turn heads or move stocks. And the irony of having a generic bottler help out SodaStream’s mission of ridding the world of canned pop was lost on a humorless Mr. Market. However, let’s go over a few things that would get SodaStream’s shares popping.

1. Strike a Monster deal
SodaStream has made allies with some pretty powerful beverage brands. Since early last year alone, we’ve seen deals that have had Crystal Light, Kool-Aid, and, more recently, V8 emerging as SodaStream flavors.

But there’s been a void in the partnerships for the energy-drink market. That’s probably because SodaStream has its own energy-drink syrup. Since canned carbonated energy drinks retail for far more than traditional sodas, it’s actually one of the better relative values in SodaStream’s growing portfolio of flavors. However, a good way to draw attention to the ability to economically fizz up energy drinks at home would be to team up with a recognized leader in the niche.

Red Bull and Monster are the two undisputed leaders in the energy-drink market. Even the soda giants haven’t been able to strip them of their leadership. One can argue that Red Bull would be insane to go this route. The top dog is a global juggernaut with little to gain by selling itself short. Monster, on the other hand, could take advantage of SodaStream’s long-standing international appeal. Just 21% of SodaStream’s gross sales happened outside the United States.

Monster also has several different brands. If it’s afraid of cannibalization or diluting its namesake brand, it can always tiptoe into these adrenaline-boosting waters with one of its smaller brands.

2. Dive into the wellness market
Despite New York City Major Michael Bloomberg‘s defeat earlier this month on an ordinance that would have limited the sale of supersized soft drinks, sugary soft drinks will continue to come under fire. Childhood obesity levels are too high, and sipping large amounts of soda opens up the possibility of health risks.

Coca-Cola had a novel idea a few years ago: It put out a line of its signature Diet Coke packed with vitamins and minerals. An 8-ounce serving of Diet Coke Plus packs 15% of the recommended daily intake of niacin and vitamins B6 and B12, as well …read more

Can SodaStream Juice Returns With These New Partners?

By Steve Symington, The Motley Fool

Filed under:

Through back-to-back press releases Wednesday and Thursday, at-home carbonation champion SodaStream  announced two new strategic partnerships with the privately held companies eBoost and Ocean Spray Cranberries.

Apparently, according to the Ocean Spray release, more than 30% of Ocean Spray cranberry juice drinkers mix their juice with sparkling water when they’re at home, so “the partnership builds on an already familiar consumer behavior.”

The tag team with natural energy drink specialist eBoost, on the other hand, gives sluggish consumers another option to supplement SodaStream’s existing “Energy Drink” varieties — which, curiously enough, includes a cranberry flavor.

According to Jillian Michaels, eBoost’s chief energy officer (not kidding), “eBoost is redefining the energy drink industry with a responsible product that consumers can feel good about drinking.” It’s only logical, then, that coffee-averse homebodies might relish having another bubbly option with SodaStream’s system.

Will it matter?
The question remains: How does this affect SodaStream investors? The stock popped as much as 5% Wednesday but then fell nearly 2% on Thursday, so it’s doubtful the movement was strongly correlated with investor excitement over these deals.

Am I significantly more likely to buy a SodaStream machine now that they’ve added bubbly cranberry juice and new energy drinks to their repertoire? Probably not. After all, I wasn’t swayed when SodaStream signed deals with Breville, Country Time Lemonade, Campbell‘s V8, or Kraft‘s Kool-Aid and Crystal Light.

Even so, I can’t imagine the new flavors will be bad for business, especially with regard to making SodaStream’s solution that much stickier for existing at-home carbonation enthusiasts. In the end, carbonation refills and flavor packs are SodaStream’s bread and butter — the more shelf space the company can command with new flavors, the better.

However, I’ll have to admit that SodaStream’s propensity for creating ban-worthy advertisements certainly has me intrigued. The company has no qualms calling out both Coca-Cola and PepsiCo by name in an effort to draw attention to the convenience of its own environmentally friendly solution. And that’s not to mention the fact that SodaStream most recently had the guts to do so — or attempt to do so, anyway — in a Super Bowl commercial. Thanks to the viral power of social media and the Internet, SodaStream continues to enjoy the perfect avenue for peddling its controversial wares to win consumers’ affection.

While SodaStream did manage to use that publicity to grow its 2012 revenue 51% year over year to just over $436 million, something tells me Coca-Cola and Pepsi aren’t exactly shaking in their giant boots just yet, especially since the global powerhouses boasted mind-numbingly massive 2012 sales of $48 billion and $65.5 billion, respectively.

Break out the bubbly
This still doesn’t mean, however, that SodaStream won’t be able to continue growing quickly for the foreseeable future. After all, the market can only ignore its blowout results for so long. Eventually, long-term investors will be happy to enjoy the fruits of their patience.

Curious about how big SodaStream can get, …read more

Video: Barack Obama’s Impeachable Offense

By Kris Zane

Reading the headlines the past few weeks has been like a page out of the book of Revelation. Barack Obama riding on his red horse has been foretelling a literal Armageddon if the so-called “draconian” sequestration cuts go into effect.

But Armageddon turned into Chicago’s cutthroat streets with Obama’s Al Capone-like thugs shaking down enemies when pundits, politicians, and journalists began to show that Obama as John the Baptist crying in the wilderness was really the boy crying wolf.

That the sequestration amounted to about two percent of the budget, that the “draconian” sequestration cuts were Obama’s idea. That it was all a sham to get another tax hike on the “fat cat millionaires and billionaires.”

Of course, the leftist media easily spun the narrative for Obama, blaming those evil Republicans.

At least until journalistic giant Bob Woodward came on the scene, setting the record straight. It was hard to argue against Woodward’s facts, given that he had written an entire book, The Price of Politics, describing the whole sequestration debacle.

So the Obama White House did what they do best: the shakedown.

Obama minion and thug Gene Sperling sent Woodward a threatening email, basically telling him to keep his mouth shut:

But I do truly believe you should rethink your comment about saying saying that Potus asking for revenues is moving the goal post. I know you may not believe this, but as a friend, I think you will regret staking out that claim.

Team Obama’s mistake was that they weren’t dealing with one of their hacks in the mainstream media. This was the man who had brought down Richard Nixon. This was the man who, as the mainstream media began to drink Obama’s Kool-Aid, remained at the water cooler of real journalism.

And he began to sing like a canary. First on CNN. Then on Fox. Then, well, his words were beamed as millions of ones and zeros over the Internet, and Team Obama and the Left did the only thing that was left: mockery.

This was exemplified with Obama henchman David Plouffe’s tweet that Woodward’s statements were merely rantings of a senile old man. And the Left parroted this narrative ad nauseam. Woodward was washed up. Put him out to pasture. Nothing to see here, move on. Give Woodward a teaspoon of Geritol and wheel him out onto the patio.

Except then came Lanny Davis, former Bill Clinton special counsel who had been writing a column for the Washington Times. He too received the shakedown treatment from Team Obama.

Then the wheels began to fall off the sequestration bus.

The media began to turn on Obama.

Arne Duncan, Obama’s Education Secretary, was caught in a lie about the sequestration resulting in “thousands of teacher layoffs,” which was a total fabrication.

But this was only the innocuous part of Obama’s spin machine.

Beneath the surface, there was simmering what can only be called treason.

Barack Obama, putting politics above his primary duty as Commander-in-Chief—that of protecting it’s citizens—pulled the aircraft carrier <a target=_blank target="_blank" …read more
