Diesel Says Marvel Role Has "Love Story"

You put Vin Diesel in a Marvel movie and the box office breaks, right? I mean, that’s gotta be what Marvel boss Kevin Feige is thinking with all this talk about Diesel joining a Marvel film as… somebody.

But if it happens, who will he play? Nobody is talking, but Diesel himself continues to drop hints about the role. Here’s what he told EW at Comic-Con this past weekend.

“Marvel was excited about bring

a different kind of relationship, a different kind of love story, I guess kind of inspired from the Dom-Letty relationship, into the Marvel universe,” the actor says. Dom-Letty, of course, refers to his and Michelle Rodriguez’ characters from the Fast and the Furious franchise.

Comic-Con: Watch the Riddick NSFW Footage

Writer-director David Twohy and stars Vin Diesel and Katee Sackhoff were at San Diego Comic-Con today to present fans with an exclusive look at Universal’s forthcoming sci-fi action sequel Riddick.

Following 2000’s Pitch Black and 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick, Riddick follows the titular, escaped convict antihero (Diesel) wanted by every bounty hunter in the known galaxy. He’s been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless.  Soon, however, Riddick finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered.

The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.  The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal.  With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy. The cast includes Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Dave Bautista, Bokeem Woodbine, and Raoul Trujillo.

“There was an early screening in LA this week of Fast 6. The crowd reaction was surreal… and their demand for the continuation was powerful,” Diesel said on his Facebook page. “It’s remarkable to think I first embodied this character in 1999… and the evolution continues. P.s. Filming begins this summer in LA, where it all started… talk about a studio in sync with the audience.”

Subaru WRX STI doing a wheelie in Fast & Furious 6 - trailer screencap

Among the many Super Bowl XLVII commercials that caught our attention last night was the first official movie trailer for Fast & Furious 6, which promises more over-the-top action as Dominic Toretto and crew tear up the streets of Europe. Returning Fast & Furious stars include Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris and, back from the dead, Michelle Rodriguez. Predictably, there will be plenty of tuned hardware on display – both automotive and anatomical – along with loads of CGI-assisted stunts and chases.

Other than a stolen tank and crashing cargo plane, some of the vehicular excitement includes cars like a Dodge Charger Daytona (likely a lookalike), Ferrari Enzo FXX (ditto), along with today’s Charger SRT8, Alfa Romeo Giulietta, Subaru WRX STI, plus models like the Land Rover Defender and even what looks to be a vintage Ford Escort Mexico rally car.

The movie will be in theaters this summer, but TheFastAndTheFurious.com is promising an extended first look at the film tomorrow. Until then, you can check out the Super Bowl trailer posted below.

What's Fast and Furious 6 About?

Universal has released new plot details for Fast & Furious 6, which is slated for release May 24. The first footage from the movie will be seen in this weekend’s Super Bowl TV spot. Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe.  But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Fast And The Furious 6 Movie Trailer Will Debut During Super Bowl

By Darryl

fast-and-the-furious-6

Like me, you may be a bit undaunted by yet another Fast And The Furious movie franchise film dropping in theaters later this year. But let’s be honest, it is good entertainment with a bunch of cool cars at best for some of us. Moreover, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and the rest of the communal cast really put on a good show for us. Being that we do not currently have any major blockbuster car-centric movies for us enthusiast, the upcoming Fast and Furious 6 will have to do. With that said, the official first movie trailer for Fast and Furious 6 will debut during the Super Bowl.

From our last ‘insider’ posts on Fast And The Furious 6, we revealed that there will be a new Subaru BRZ, matte blue BenSpora SP Engineering Tuned Nissan GT-R and it will get a May 2013 start in theaters. Maybe those details will excite you a bit, maybe it won’t. No matter, Fast and Furious 6 may very well be the best new car movie so get ready for a ride… maybe.

A Preview of BenSopra Nissan GT-R In ‘Fast and the Furious 6′ Movie w/Video

By Malcolm Hogan

The upcoming sixth installment of The Fast and the Furious franchise has kept us playing guessing games as to what type of performance cars we will see in the movie. With a movie cast basically carried over from Fast Five, we already know what to expect from the human acting department. What we can now confirm, thanks to MotorAuthority, is one of the other stars of the Fast and the Furious 6 movie is a Bayside Blue BenSopra Nissan GT-R with a whole trick-bag of aftermarket modifications.

SP Engineering, the infamous tuning crew responsible for turning out 1,000+ horsepower Godzilla’s will be the turner of choice for the Nissan GT-R movie star, which will feature a respectable 685 horsepower and 603 lbs. ft. of torque. Of course in Hollywood numbers those figures could be exaggerated to well over 1.000 horsepower.

The fine details of the upcoming Fast and the Furious 6 movie have been sketchy at best, although, we should expect to see a Subaru BRZ and an onslaught of other highly-sought after vehicles in the most recent highly anticipated car movie.

Fast and the Furious 6 will star Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris and Dwayne Johnson. The movie is set for a release date of May 24, 2013. Look for the first movie trailers to be released in the coming weeks.
