The Left weeps loudly for the dead children massacred at the Sandy Hook Elementary school, but then dance on the graves of millions of children murdered by Planned Parenthood. Their proposed assault weapons ban has nothing to do with protecting children and everything to do with disarming Americans in order to set up a totalitarian government.
Last week, our President surrounded himself with a group of children to discuss his administration’s plan for gun control. He tried so hard to make you feel that this whole situation was about them. He urged you to consider the implications of not acting while engaging the children and reading parts of their letters. He tried to lecture us on the importance of keeping them safe and out of harm’s way. He was charming as always, yet serious, and at times, even a slight bit emotional. He did his best to persuade us to believe we need to do this, and there is no better time to act than now.
The 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade was this past Tuesday. I would ask you to also think about the well-being of all the unborn children whose lives have been cut short in the past 40 years. I ask you to think about whether or not they deserve to be taken out of harm’s way. He spoke about protecting our children, but we must remember that this man is an ardent supporter of infanticide. We cannot forget that he has voted for partial birth abortions multiple times; and now, there is even talk of it being brought back to the table in his second term. We must remember that if this was really about the safety of our children, then he would vow to protect all life and not defend Planned Parenthood or even allow them prominent roles at the Democratic National Convention.
The same politicians who want to take away your constitutional right to own any kind of firearm are the same ones who condone the killing of innocent life. It has become socially acceptable now for women to choose whether to end the life of their unborn babies; but yet it is becoming socially unacceptable for responsible law-abiding citizens to protect their own families (and in the process are shamed, harassed, and called “extremists” all because a few powerful people want to change the conversation and now talk about morality.)
This administration is not doing what is morally right. They would like you to believe that of course but have shown time and time again that it’s really only an illusion. They are not trying to protect the children; they are only pushing an agenda that has been years (if not decades) in the making. Those 23 executive orders were not written this past week, or even this past month; they have been ready to go for a long, long time. The news conference was not about keeping our children safe or about keeping guns off the streets or even stopping the violence. It was purely about control.
If this president was really serious about protecting our children, he would have held his press conference in front of a Planned Parenthood in, say, Chicago or New York; and he would have told the American people that all life is valuable, all life is precious, and we need to do everything we can to put an end to this practice.
Sadly, we know this will never happen. But as the discussion for gun control rages on in the coming days, weeks, and even months, think of all those precious lives we lost through the past 40 years and say a prayer for them and all those who will sadly follow.

(CNSNews.com) — Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) said he supports efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at the federal level, and when looking to cut the federal budget, he said, Planned Parenthood is “one good place to start.”
“You would think out of a $3.7 trillion dollar budget, we could find somewhere to cut and certainly that’s one good place to start,” Huelskamp told CNSNews.com at a Capitol Hill media event on Tuesday.
During a monthly media briefing with a small group of House conservatives in which Huelskamp referenced the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, CNSNews.com asked, “Congressman Huelskamp, following up on that, whether a budget comes out first in the House or Senate this spring, will you seek to strip out funding for Planned Parenthood?”
Huelskamp said, “I will, but that will be in the appropriations process. There have been two bills introduced by two congresswomen in the House. There’ll still be an effort — Mike Pence, is obviously now governor of Indiana — and so there will be a continued effort.”

According to the pro-life website, Life News (http://www.lifenews.com/), this week, the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, our nation marks 40 years of legalized abortion in all fifty states at any time and for any reason throughout pregnancy. That Supreme Court decision has resulted in approximately 55,772,015 abortions – let’s call it what it is – murder of babies, the slaughter of innocent lives. That number may escape you. It is nearly 56-MILLION babies.
Don’t give me that sanitized garbage, by calling these human lives “fetal tissue.” If it is legal in our country to murder them, then they deserve the dignity of being called babies .. children (of God) .. human beings. And please don’t feed me the pathetic liberal female line, “It’s my body and I have a right to choose.” Well lady, you had a right to choose before you hopped into the sack and had unprotected sex. When you forfeited your obligation to do the ‘right thing,’ you gave me and other men and women who believe in the sanctity of life a right to challenge your self-centered view of life.
A very long time ago I was having a conversation with a moderately conservative female friend and we got onto the topic of ‘abortion.’ Her opinion was that women should have the ‘right to choose.’ My question to her was, “Aren’t you thankful that your mother didn’t decide she didn’t feel like going through the hassle of having and raising a kid – you?” She was silent. She is now deceased. Her name was JoAnn.
I said, “JoAnn, I have my rights and you have your rights, but nobody is looking out for the most vulnerable among us, those unborn babies.” She still remained silent. Maybe she knew deep down inside that I was right. I still am.
At another point during my male journey through life, I talked about abortion with a liberal female friend. We have always been close because, though we have always fought like cats and dogs on issues about which we are individually passionate, neither of us has ever feared rejection. I guess that is what real mutual respect is all about.
She said that, of course, she would never have an abortion, but it should be the woman’s “right to choose.” She then went on to talk about all of the poor people in the ghettos and how it was ‘humane’ to abort because if those kids were born, they weren’t wanted anyhow and would never have the love or opportunities that others have. WHAT LIBERAL TRIPE! Not ONCE did it occur to her that maybe that unborn kid should have a say in the final decision. My goodness, the kid might have become President – instead of what we are now stuck with for another four years.
I apologize not if I offend you, but a nation which allows almost 60-million babies to be murdered, is hypocritical to act concerned about the lives which are taken because of deranged individuals firing weapons in public places. Believe me, guns kill far fewer human beings nationwide than do Planned Parenthood encouraged/financed (?) abortion assembly lines.
The liberals say, “Take away the weapons and the killings will go away.” Dream on, little libbie. However, if you make requirements for abortion (excluding issues regarding the mother’s life or incest) much more strict, and cut the federal mandate that employers must even participate (under penalty of law) in this infant genocide, then maybe lives will actually be saved. The lives which have no representation except for those of us who realize they are the most defenseless among us. In this issue, I can say, without hesitation, that “GOD is on our side.”

Last week, graphic autopsy images were released of a woman dying from a legal abortion. Her mother insisted the photos be made public. The story broke my heart.
As 18-year-old Marla Cardamone lay in her casket prior to viewing, the funeral director suggested to Marla’s mother, Deborah, they close the casket so people would not see Marla’s disfigured face. Deborah Caramone told him to leave the casket open. She hopes to expose the lies of the abortion industry and wants people to understand that abortions are not always ‘safe and legal’. In order to do this, she bravely chose to show her daughter’s bruised and swollen face, caused by abortion-related complications. Marla died at a Pennsylvania hospital, and Deborah Cardamone vowed her daughter would not be forgotten.
Just a few days earlier, a medical counselor pushed Marla to have an abortion, telling her that the prescription medication she had been taking would cause her baby to be born with severe birth defects. Following Marla’s death, it was determined by doctors that her baby had no abnormalities.
Father Frank Pavone once said that “America will never resist abortion until America sees abortion.”
Thanks in part to advances in technology such as ultrasound imagery, it’s clear and easy to see a growing and moving fetus inside a mother’s womb, which has raised awareness that an unborn child is alive and human and that abortion is murder.
Americans have tolerated the evil of legalized abortion and have become so desensitized to violence and death that we don’t see eliminating innocent human life as a brutal or selfish act – or at least we don’t speak up about it enough. God have mercy on our hardened hearts.
I recently had a head-spinning conversation with a young woman about defining life. She was so disconnected with the Bible, reality, and science that she insisted that if she became pregnant, whatever it was growing inside her was not technically alive unless she was at a point in her life where she was ready and wanted to have a baby. Apparently, this is called ‘reproductive justice.’
On this 40-year anniversary of Roe V. Wade when approximately 57 million babies have been legally prevented from being born – thanks to un-elected federal judges enforcing immorality on all Americans in 1973 – Planned Parenthood receives $542 million a year from U.S. taxpayers. Some states are trying to cut off funding to Planned Parenthood, but this barely puts a dent in their $1 billion annual budget. Regardless, abortion on demand remains the law of the land.
You may have heard the numbers: 1 in every 9 women who visit Planned Parenthood ends up having an abortion, which results in one every 94 seconds. (In all abortion clinics nationwide, there is an abortion every 26 seconds.)
A new Marist poll shows that 83% of Americans favor significant restrictions on abortion. Nineteen states enacted 43 restrictions on abortion services last year, and even more restrictions were enacted in 2011. However, restricting the murder of the unborn is not enough. Even reversing Roe v. Wade wouldn’t stop the evil of man. Our culture is too far gone, and only God through Jesus Christ can change human hearts. We need to reach people with the message that every single life is a divine gift and has value.
A few weeks ago, I wrote about America’s Culture of Death: the dark history of the abortion, birth control, and eugenics movement in America pioneered by Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger. It’s important to understand her warped worldview along with her atheist, feminist, and elitist mindset that justified population control in order to successfully engage in the present battle for life and morality.
Sadly, we seldom hear an extremely important part of this discussion in the pro-choice media or anywhere: the trauma of abortions often cause years of emotional pain, torment, and anguish. This is both deceptive and problematic.
Many young women who tell others about their abortion try to act normal and hide the fact that they are in physical or emotional pain. Many experience severe trauma soon after receiving an abortion. These are some of the verifiable symptoms a woman may experience:
If you have had an abortion, here are a few questions to consider: What were you like before your abortion, and have you changed? Would you now advise your best friend or sister not to have an abortion if she were considering it? Did you have an abortion in spite of believing it was wrong at the time? Do you experience explosive emotions, or do you shut down? If you were a Christian before having an abortion, has your relationship with God changed?
In a study of post-abortion patients only 8 weeks after their abortion, researchers found that 44% complained of nervous disorders, 36% had experienced sleep disturbances, 31% had regrets about their decision, and 11% had been prescribed psychotropic medicine by their family doctor.
According to Priscilla Coleman of Bowling Green State University, “Women who have had an abortion have an 81% higher risk of subsequent mental health problems compared to women who have not had an abortion. Also, women who aborted have a 138% (another study showed 160%) higher risk of mental health problems compared to women who have given birth.”
A New Zealand study that tracked women for more than three decades discovered that 42% of women who aborted experienced major depression. There is accurate information available; but the media, Hollywood, government, and the abortion industry rarely address this issue.
Tragically, ignoring or denying these truths only increase chances that there will be more cases similar to Marla Cardamone’s.
In 2012, the mother of a 24-year-old woman who died after an abortion filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Planned Parenthood of Illinois. Tonya Reaves died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital July 20 after she began to hemorrhage at a Planned Parenthood clinic. They waited for over five hours before sending her to the hospital. The Autopsy stated that Miss Reaves suffered from an incomplete abortion. The story got little coverage.
Several years earlier, 25-year-old Diana Lopez was 19 weeks pregnant when she went to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Los Angeles for an abortion. Before the day was over, Ms. Lopez – just like Ms. Reaves – had bled to death from a botched abortion.
Another 18-year-old, Holly Patterson, entered a Planned Parenthood clinic in Hayward, California seeking a chemical abortion. She died seven days later (September 17) as a result of an incomplete abortion causing a severe bacterial infection. A Women’s Enews correspondent reported:
Holly had taken RU-486, an abortion drug that has been used by more than 1 million women worldwide and is widely viewed as a safe alternative to surgical abortion. But Holly died tragically of a massive infection after taking the drug protocol.
In July 2011, the FDA reported 2,207 adverse events in the U.S. after women used the RU-486 regimen. Among those were 14 deaths, 612 hospitalizations, 339 blood transfusions, and 256 infections (including 48 “severe infections”).
Tragically, many so-called ‘counselors’ at abortion clinics downplay mental and physical health risks the majority of the time in order to sell customers abortions, not to mention the fact that the procedure will violently end a child’s life. My heart goes out to those who believe the godless lie that this “procedure” is justified under the labels of choice and privacy.
In our sexually permissive and progressive culture, it’s no wonder young women are sexually active; and those who have had abortions need our prayers, not our judgment. Being a product of American culture, post-abortive women, especially religious women, are most likely suffering enough for their sin. At that point, they first need God’s forgiveness and then need to learn how to forgive themselves.
The promotion of biblical principles and abstinence education in churches, schools, and society is vital in order to affect positive change. Stop messing around, yes. Use protection, yes. Limit abortions, yes. Vote for pro-life candidates, yes. Stop funding Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars, yes! But we also need to remember the power of prayer; the Word of God; and true, caring Christianity. People may not respond to debates, laws, or rules; but they most always – eventually – respond to unconditional love. Let’s keep speaking the truth and fighting for life.

Some years ago, I was interviewed by a TV station about the issue of abortion. I had been matched up with a representative of Planned Parenthood; and after the interview, I happened to ride down the elevator with the woman who was my opponent.
I mentioned that Christianity was part of our Constitution, and she shot back: “Christianity is not in the Constitution!”
Well, she got me there; and I had to do some catch-up reading. It’s true that Christianity is not in the Constitution (unless of course you include the date at the very end, which says “in the Year of our Lord….”) It’s true that Article VI states that “no religious Test shall ever be required” as a qualification to any office or public trust.
But there’s more to it. As every schoolboy knows, one of the main reasons why the Pilgrims (and many other immigrants in later years) came to the New World was to escape religious persecution. But the early settlers brought with them the same persecution from their homeland. For example, the Puritan fathers of Massachusetts Bay Colony ran a theocracy and did not tolerate those of other religions. And in various places, Baptists, Catholics, and Congregationalists were either prohibited from holding public office, driven from the area, or just plain executed.
We’ve got to fix this, thought the Founders of our country. Madison and Jefferson were among those who shaped the idea that the government should not officially support any “sect” of Christianity. This thinking went into the writing of the Constitution, and thus Christianity was not promoted in that document. But the Founders certainly did not have in mind some kind of atheist utopia, where our civic leaders abandon all moral direction or support of Christianity.
A closer look at our governing ethos certainly shows Christianity as an essential part. The Declaration of Independence, for example, has several references to God. The document appeals to the “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” and that all men are “endowed by their Creator” with unalienable rights (attention, Mr. Obama: this phrase is really here). At the end, it asks for “a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence….”
The Smithsonian Institute, in a recent article, describes America as a “secular republic.” This phrase, however, doesn’t do justice to our form of government any more than a list of ingredients in a cookbook make up a chocolate cake. In baking a cake, there is also action and good will, with the purpose of making something that is both good and pleasing. There is a person behind the baking of a cake. And there are people and a purpose behind the acting out of our government.
You can’t yank Christianity out of our government any more than you can yank the soul out of a man and still call him a man. Has our government recognized Christianity? You bet. Just look at the credit in granite given to Christianity and the moral laws in our monuments and public buildings in Washington, D.C. Take a look at the newly-released Sons of Liberty Radio YouTube video that shows impressive footage of Bible quotes and presidential mentions of God and Christianity in our nation’s capital. (Disclosure: Sons of Liberty Radio partners with our firm, TreeFrogClick). Bet you didn’t know that there were tiny Bible verses engraved into the walls of the Washington monument. Or that carved into the cornerstone of the wings of the Capitol building is the speech of Daniel Webster, which culminates in the words:
And all here assembled … with hearts devotedly thankful to Almighty God for the preservation of the liberty and happiness of this country, unite in sincere and fervent prayers that this deposit, and the walls and arches, the domes and the towers, the columns and the entablatures now to be erected over it may endure forever.
So where is the true America? Its guiding principles are in its soul — in Christianity.

Following the defeat of 2012, it seems as if everyone – yours truly included – has an opinion about where the conservative movement goes from here. But right now presents an excellent opportunity to rally the Right again.
Following the fiscal cliff fiasco, the next big battle inside the beltway will be the debt ceiling in March. Some Republicans who caved on the fiscal cliff are already talking tough. Take Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey, for example. After voting for the largest tax increase in 20 years, Toomey is one of several Republicans now saying that the debt ceiling showdown may require a government shutdown if Democrats insist on more tax increases.
So with some key Republicans already throwing down the gauntlet, now is the time for the conservative movement to re-assert itself. The time for the licking of wounds has past. The time for leadership has arrived. We’re at our best when we let our principles lead the way. The two times I can remember the right-of-center coalition of evangelicals, conservative Catholics, libertarians, and the pro-growth/limited taxation crowd being truly unified since the 2004 election were the 2010 midterm elections and Scott Walker’s recall in Wisconsin last year.
Why?
Because those elections were clearly about principles, and principles unite us. Unlike Democrats who join that party out of identity politics, we become Republicans because of principles like the ones found in the party platform.
And the Republican Party platform is clear about two things: the rule of law has the obligation to protect the God-given right to life, and the government big enough to give you everything you need is large enough to take away everything you have. We have been struggling for a message that puts both of these principles into practice simultaneously. One that bypasses the in-fighting plaguing our movement for years now and mobilizes and energizes our grassroots to go on offense. The debt ceiling showdown provides us that opportunity.
Planned Parenthood received more than $542 million from the government last year, which means that an astounding 45% of its revenue came from the American taxpayer. Every one of us would agree that is simply inexcusable. Some of us may believe that based simply on the sanctity of life, given that Planned Parenthood is one of the leading child killers in America. Some of us may believe that’s simply a terrible waste of the people’s money at a time we’re flat broke and a symbol of our misplaced priorities. Both of us recognize that Planned Parenthood is one of the Left’s major political fundraisers. Regardless of the premise, we all come to the same conclusion.
Thus, now is the time for all of us to use this issue as a catalyst that unifies our various factions behind a shared principle—absolutely no increase in the debt ceiling should even be considered until all money for the child-killing industry is removed from the budget.
If we’re going to consider these things “private moral matters” then it is intolerable to ask the taxpayer to subsidize it, especially at a time when we’re flat broke and taxes are going up on everybody. If we wouldn’t ask the taxpayers to buy your next shot of tequila, jolt of trans-fats, or drag from a cigarette, then we shouldn’t ask them to buy your next condom or abortion. If someone wants to get their freak on, they can buy their own birth control pills or dental dams.
This week on my radio show, Dr. Thomas Woods, one of the most respected libertarian thinkers in the country, agreed with me. “Even if you’re a pro-abortion libertarian you don’t believe the taxpayer should be funding it,” Woods said.
If we cannot get Republicans to hold the line on this at this crucial time in our history, then there really is no point to having a Republican Party (or at the very least to having these Republicans). If the conservative movement isn’t willing to take the lead in forcing their hand, then there really is no point to our movement other than selling books and syndicating radio shows like my own. This is an easy first step to re-unify for the much bigger and longer battles that await us to return to constitutional government.
Concern over the growth of government and the resulting loss of personal freedom is what gave birth to the modern conservative movement. Concern about the sanctity of life is what swelled the ranks of the movement with Catholics who were once predominantly Democrats and evangelicals who previously didn’t even vote en masse. Regardless of which of those issues most trips your trigger, we cannot take back control of the Republican Party without each of them working in concert. And the Republican Party is worthless if we don’t wrestle away control from the cynical, feckless, and ineffective party establishment.
But we need a message to unify and mobilize us that is based on shared principles. This message does that. It allows us to walk and chew gum at the same time. Instead of both sides fighting each other for control of the movement, we unite a movement around a shared principle to fight the real enemies to liberty and morality. We are better together. We cannot win if we’re not united. But calls for unity for unity’s sake fall on deaf ears. We must lead on genuine principle to create genuine unity.
We must rally the right for such a time as this, and this is the simple yet principled message to do it. Either we hang together, or we will all hang alone. If we can’t hang together on this one, then I’m not sure where we can.

The principal of a Massachusetts high school is reviewing a school-sanctioned sexual education course after a parent complained that a flier about the class advocated condom use.
According to the Berkshire Eagle, Pittsfield High School Principal Tracey Benson received the complaint from parent Bruce Radke, who saw a list of 32 phrases — described as “Condom Sayings” — that was passed out to about 15 students, including Radke’s daughter Aleisha, a junior at the school.
The flier reportedly included sayings such as “Practice safe sex — make love with a Trojan” and “Condoms are easier to change then [sic] diapers.”
“It has no finesse at all,” Radke said. “It’s too blunt and ignorant.”
The educational material is now under review, the paper reports.
The class – which requires parental consent — is designed to help young girls, ages 15 to 18, avoid pregnancy, while increasing their educational career aspirations.
Sarah Gillooly, an employee of Girls Inc. who holds a sexuality education certificate from Planned Parenthood, said the fliers’ sexually explicit phrases are meant to engage the young women in conversation. Gillooly teaches the sex education class, which is provided at Pittsfield High by Girls Inc.
“It can’t continue the way it is,” said Benson, who said he already has met with Gillooly and will review the sex education material before the holiday break, according to the Berkshire Eagle.
