Sony Partners Up for New Exclusives & No Single Player DLC for Tomb Raider

That’s right, the special edition BioShock Infinite Xbox 360 is still up for grabs and today’s keyword for it is…you know I actually can’t say, you have to watch The Fix to find out. As for today’s headlines, if you were expecting more Tomb Raider goodness to arrive in the future, looks like Crystal Dynamics might have some bad news for you. On the brighter side of things, Sony has partnered up with a new development studio to bring you more games, so there’s that. Yay! All is well in the world.

Square Enix has confirmed that the Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released exclusively on the Wii U.

There are currently no plans for Tomb Raider single player DLC according to Crystal Dynamic‘s global brand manager.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Confirmed For Wii U

UPDATE: Square Enix has confirmed that the Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released exclusively on the Wii U.

No firm release date has been given, but the Director’s Cut is slated to utilise the GamePad for touch-screen hacking, interactive map editing, augmented sniping, grenade throwbacks and other neural hub enhancements. The version will also include developer commentaries and in-game guides.

Tongs’ Rescue mission and the Missing Link chapter will both be integrated into the game, while overhauled boss fights, tweaks to combat, balance and AI, and visual improvements are also part of the package.

Amazon Lists Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Wii U

It’s looking increasingly likely that an updated version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution is destined to appear on Wii U; Amazon has become the latest source to suggest a Director’s Cut of the game is headed to Nintendo’s console.

A listing on the retail site claims the game will be coming to North America on May 7 for $49.99, with the Wii U GamePad being used to explore Jensen’s ‘Neural Hub‘.

The product description explains, “Tap into the Wii U’s GamePad true potential: Adam Jensen‘s newest augmentation, the Neural Hub, offers an immersive and empowering experience, right at the tips of your fingers.” It also states that this version of the game will enjoy a “multitude of improvements, features and additional content.”

Deus Ex Filmmakers Talk Shop

For the past several months, Sinister filmmakers director Scott Derrickson and screenwriter C. Robert Cargill have been plugging away on their script for the movie adaptation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Now that they’ve submitted their first draft, Derrickson and Cargill have a few new tidbits to share on the project.

As Cargill said back in November, the duo’s approach to this film was not to make a video game movie, but a cyberpunk movie. Expanding on that, Cargill recently told Crave, “We’re trying to break out, and really, the mold for the movies that we’re looking at… We’re looking at movies like District 9 and Looper, and Inception. Those are the molds of what we’ve been doing… We haven’t tried to build it around Johnny Mnemonic or New Rose Hotel.
