Sony Partners Up for New Exclusives & No Single Player DLC for Tomb Raider

That’s right, the special edition BioShock Infinite Xbox 360 is still up for grabs and today’s keyword for it is…you know I actually can’t say, you have to watch The Fix to find out. As for today’s headlines, if you were expecting more Tomb Raider goodness to arrive in the future, looks like Crystal Dynamics might have some bad news for you. On the brighter side of things, Sony has partnered up with a new development studio to bring you more games, so there’s that. Yay! All is well in the world.

Square Enix has confirmed that the Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released exclusively on the Wii U.

There are currently no plans for Tomb Raider single player DLC according to Crystal Dynamic‘s global brand manager.

No Single Player DLC Planned For Tomb Raider

There are currently no plans for Tomb Raider single player DLC according to Crystal Dynamic‘s global brand manager.

When asked during a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’, Karl Stewart explained that the company was focusing entirely on the multiplayer portion of the game for the time being.

In response to a query about what adventures future single player DLC would hold for Lara, Stewart replied, “There are currently no plans in place for any Single Player expansions. All of our DLC is based around the Multiplayer experience for now.”

The first such multiplayer DLC for the game, the Caves & Cliffs map pack, released earlier this week on Xbox 360 as a timed exclusive, so expect it to crop up on PS3 and PC at some currently undefined point in the future.

Tomb Raider Won't Get a Demo or Season Pass

The highly-anticipated Tomb Raider reboot won’t be getting a demo ahead of release, nor will a season or online pass be made available for DLC content according to Crystal Dynamic‘s global brand director.

Taking to his Twitter, Karl Stewart revealed that the decision was made not to release a demo as the company didn’t want “to spoil the story”, adding that he believed it would be better for players to experience the game in one entire playthrough.
