Deus Ex Wii U Features Won't Come to Other Platforms

The exclusive Wii U content in Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut won’t find its way onto other platforms, according to game designer Emile Pedneault. Speaking to PAR, Pedneault explained numerous new features for the “ultimate” edition of Human Revolution.

So what exactly is everyone else missing out on?

The most interesting feature isn’t Deus Ex‘s improved boss fights — more options, both in terms of exploration and objects, aim to fix past problems. It’s the eight hours of developer commentary, an optional narration over Deus Ex as you play, that has me most excited to replay the role-playing game.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution Confirmed For Wii U

UPDATE: Square Enix has confirmed that the Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released exclusively on the Wii U.

No firm release date has been given, but the Director’s Cut is slated to utilise the GamePad for touch-screen hacking, interactive map editing, augmented sniping, grenade throwbacks and other neural hub enhancements. The version will also include developer commentaries and in-game guides.

Tongs’ Rescue mission and the Missing Link chapter will both be integrated into the game, while overhauled boss fights, tweaks to combat, balance and AI, and visual improvements are also part of the package.
