AP source: Ex-cop exchanges fire with authorities

A law enforcement official says a person believed to be the fugitive ex-Los Angeles cop sought in three killings has exchanged gunfire with authorities in the San Bernardino Mountains.

The officer requested anonymity because the officer was not authorized to speak publicly about the ongoing investigation.

The officer tells The Associated Press it’s believed Christopher Dorner committed a residential burglary of a cabin and had a couple tied up in the cabin. One was able to get away and make a call.

Authorities responded to the location and gave chase Tuesday when Dorner fled in a stolen car. Gunfire was exchanged.

Christopher Dorner: Racist Time Bomb

By capblack

Christopher Dorner SC Christopher Dorner: Racist Time Bomb

In declaring his one-man war against the LAPD, etc. Christopher Dorner became the tactical equivalent of a Crip or Blood, ironically his opponents (we assume) while a Los Angeles police officer.

His litany of civil rights abuses isn’t license for a chocolate Klansman killing spree, where he terrorizes others for his own benefit!

I wonder if this self-deluded racial “crusader” has given a millisecond thought to how his rampage endangers other Black men.

If LA is as racist as his manifesto purports, his rampage means Black men will now feel even more racist wrath than before.

Our generation was force-fed a steady diet of Marxist garbage under the guise of Black “liberation.”

One consequence of this force-feeding is a seething anger toward American Whites, which the Left won’t readily admit.

I don’t think the 1990s vintage “Black Rage” defense will be trotted out in this case, but you never know!

The liberal paradigm dictates that the conservative White man is the author of our despair. That explains the hero worship Dorner’s rampage is getting from homeboys and hippies from coast-to-coast.

They see him as a “freedom fighter” instead of a super-thug using his police and military training to terrorize others.

I see nothing to applaud here as an American Black man. Advocates as diverse as the civil rights movement and even the Black Muslims under the late Elijah Muhammad agreed that attacking police was wrong.

Black men waging war against law enforcement obviously thrill pork chop revolutionaries like the New Black Panther Party.

For those of us attempting to contribute to society, Dorner’s rampage is a tremendous step backward.

Black liberal police reform activists should ask themselves what the blowback of this case will be.

Police departments may begin scrutinizing Black officers who protest too loudly about injustice. On the street, Dorner’s hero worship may translate into increased wariness toward Black male subjects.

The last thing Black male/police relations in America needed was yet another reason for officers to view us as high security risks.

That usually doesn’t end very well in use-of-force cases.

Christopher Dorner is the racist time bomb sixties radicalism set in the American Black subconsciousness.

Like a real-life character from the 1969 Black nationalist revenge novel “The Spook Who Sat By The Door”, Dorner infiltrated law enforcement and the military with a chip on his shoulder as volatile as plutonium.

Defusing racist time bombs within Black people and Black culture is why I call my dialogue with urban men “Make Peace With America.”

The absence of said peace writes bloody inner-city headlines daily and also scripts crossover carnage like Dorner’s.

Stay tuned.

$1M reward for ex-Los Angeles officer prompts tips

Southern California authorities were investigating hundreds of tips Monday after offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the arrest of a fugitive ex-police officer wanted in the slayings of three people.

The manhunt for Christopher Dorner, 33, coupled with added security at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, left the ranks of the Los Angeles Police Department stretched thin.

Along with responding to routine calls for service, police have been protecting dozens of families considered possible targets of Dorner, based on his alleged Facebook rant against those he held responsible for ending his career with the LAPD five years ago.

“Our dedication to catch this killer remains steadfast,” Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said. “We will not tolerate this reign of terror.”

Police and city officials believe the $1 million reward, raised from both public and private sources, will encourage the public to stay vigilant.

“This is not about catching a fugitive suspect, it’s about preventing a future crime, most likely a murder,” LAPD Chief Charlie Beck said. “This is an act, make no mistake about it, of domestic terrorism.”

Beck deflected questions about whether the reward would be paid if Dorner was found dead or alive. He called the phrase “ugly” and said he hoped no one else was injured in the ordeal, including the suspect.

As the search dragged on, worrisome questions emerged: How long could the intense search be sustained? And, if Dorner keeps evading capture, how do authorities protect dozens of former police colleagues?

LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith said the department has deployed 50 protection details to guard officers and their families who were deemed possible targets.

And there are no plans to reduce protection until Dorner is in custody, Los Angeles police Sgt. Rudy Lopez said.

“We realize it costs money and it gets expensive,” said Chuck Drago, a Florida-based police consultant. “But this is as clear of a threat as you can get. The money is always an issue but not when it’s somebody’s life at stake.”

$1 million reward offered for ex-cop as latest probe of possible sighting proves fruitless

Los Angeles authorities are offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the arrest of a fugitive ex-cop wanted in the murders of three people, as the latest investigation into a possible sighting of the suspect yielded no clues.

Police evacuated a Los Angeles home improvement store Sunday after a caller said they had seen someone resembling 33-year-old Christopher Dorner.

Authorities searched for hours but found no evidence that Dorner was there or had been there, Los Angeles police spokesman Gus Villanueva said.

Several tips came in a few hours afterLos Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced the reward at a news conference alongside police chiefs and mayors from Irvine and Riverside.

“This search is not a matter of if, but a matter of when,” he said. “I want Chris Dorner to know that.”

Villaraigosa called Dorner’s actions a “reign of terror,” but expressed confidence that he would be brought to justice.

“His actions cannot go unanswered,” Los Angeles Police Chief Beck said.

Meanwhile, authorities said camping gear was found along with weapons inside Dorner’s burned-out pickup truck. The vehicle found Thursday in the ski resort town of Big Bear Lake was so charred that investigators couldn’t be more specific about the nature of its contents, Lopez said.

Also Sunday, police investigated a taunting phone call that may have been made by Dorner to the father of the woman they believe he killed last week. Two law enforcement officers who requested anonymity because of the ongoing investigation told The Associated Press they are trying to determine if the call days after the killing was made by the 33-year-old fugitive or a man posing as him.

SWAT teams with air support and bloodhounds fanned out for the fourth day to search for Dorner, who has vowed revenge against several former LAPD colleagues whom he blames for ending his career.

The effort was significantly scaled back as the weekend went on, with 25 officers and a single helicopter looking for clues in the forest and going door-to-door at some 600 cabins in the San Bernardino mountains, about 80 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles.

On Saturday, Chief Beck said officials would re-examine the allegations by Dorner that his law enforcement career was undone by racist colleagues. While he promised to hear out Dorner if he surrenders, Beck stressed that he was ordering a review of his 2007 case because he takes the allegation of racism in his department seriously.

“I do this not to appease a murderer. I do it to reassure the public that their police department is transparent and fair in all the things we do,” the chief said in a statement.

Authorities suspect Dorner in a series of attacks in Southern California over the past week that have left three people dead. The killings and threats that Dorner allegedly made in an online rant have led police to provide protection to 50 families, Beck said.

Victim's family gets taunting call from man claiming to be ex-LAPD officer wanted in 3 murders

Aman identifying himself as the fired LAPD officer wanted in the murders of a coach, her fiance and a California police officer, taunted the father of one of the victims, ABC News reported.

A man claiming to be Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD police officer who is the subject of a massive manhunt in California after allegedly killing Monica Quan and two others, called Randall Quan, Monica’s father, and told him that he “should have done a better job of protecting his daughter,” according to court documents cited by ABC.

The call apparently came four days after Dorner allegedly killed Monica Quan and her fiance, Keith Lawrence, and 11 hours after he allegedly murdered a police officer in Riverside, Calif.

Randall Quan is a retired police captain who represented Dorner in a disciplinary hearing that led to his firing.

Dorner is believed to have made the call early Thursday afternoon, according to ABC.

Hours after authorities identified Dorner as a suspect in the double murder, police believe Dorner shot and grazed an LAPD officer in Corona and then used a rifle to ambush two Riverside police officers early Thursday, killing one and seriously wounding the other.

The crime spree spanned across a wide swath of Southern California, prompting several police agencies, including the FBI and US Marshall Service, to form a joint investigative task force.

Police are asking anyone with information to call (213) 486-6860 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.

LAPD to reopen investigation into fugitive ex-cop's firing

The hunt for a former Los Angeles police officer suspected in three killings entered a fourth day in snow-covered mountains Sunday, a day after the LAPD chief ordered a review of the disciplinary case that led to the fugitive’s dismissal and new details emerge of the evidence he left behind.

Officials will re-examine the allegations by Christopher Dorner, 33, that his law enforcement career was undone by racist colleagues, Police Chief Charlie Beck announced Saturday.

Authorities suspect Dorner in a series of attacks in Southern California over the past week that left three people dead. Authorities say he has vowed revenge against several former LAPD colleagues whom he blames for ending his career. The killings and threats that Dorner allegedly made in an online rant have led police to provide protection to 50 families, Beck said.

A captain who was named a target in the manifesto posted on Facebook told the Orange County Register he has not stepped outside his house since he learned of the threat.

“From what I’ve seen of (Dorner’s) actions, he feels he can make allegations for injustice and justify killing people and that’s not reasonable,” said Capt. Phil Tingirides, who chaired a board that stripped Dorner of his badge. “The end never justifies the means.”

On Saturday, the scaled-back search party took advantage of a break from stormy weather to look for Dorner in the San Bernardino mountains, about 80 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles, where his burned-out pickup truck was discovered Thursday.

A law enforcement officer told The Associated Press authorities found weapons in the truck. The officer spoke on condition of anonymity because the probe is ongoing.

Investigators have been examining the truck to determine if it broke down or was set ablaze as a diversion. Police say the truck had a broken axle. Investigators are trying to determine whether it was already broken when they found it, or whether it was damaged when it was towed away.

Also, newly released surveillance video showed Dorner tossing several items into a Dumpster behind an auto parts store in National City on Monday. The store’s manager told FOX5 in San Diego that an employee found a magazine full of bullets, a military belt and a military helmet. Majid Yahyai said he and the employee took the items across the street to a police station.

On Friday night, authorities served a search warrant and collected evidence from a Buena Park storage unit as part of their investigation. Irvine police Lt. Julia Engen wouldn’t elaborate on the nature of the evidence or say who had rented the unit.

Earlier Friday, another warrant was served at a La Palma house …read more

Women shot in Calif. manhunt will to get new truck

A mother and daughter newspaper delivery team who were mistakenly shot by Los Angeles police hunting for a fugitive former cop will get a new pickup truck courtesy of the department.

LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith says the department’s Chief Charlie Beck met with the women in their Torrance home Saturday to apologize and tell them he had arranged for someone to donate a new pickup truck.

The truck will be donated early this week, Smith said.

The women were accidentally struck by gunfire in the pre-dawn hours Thursday after it was reported that Christopher Dorner was sighted in the area. Beck called it a case of mistaken identity.

Dorner has vowed to avenge his firing from the department, which he wrote in an online manifesto was retaliation for reporting officer violence.

Christopher Dorner: Liberal Extremist?

By capblack

Christopher Dorner SC Christopher Dorner: Liberal Extremist?

Imagine that a nominally liberal Black former cop and Naval Reservist (named Christopher Dorner) goes on a rampage against his previous employer, the Los Angeles Police Department, promising a one-man insurgency?

Sounds like a Blacksploitation movie plot, doesn’t it?

It’s real, and so are questions his manifesto raises.

His civil rights complaints and support of liberal mouthpieces like the infamous Piers Morgan prompts a disturbing question:

Should police departments monitor progressive police officers for fear they may become violently radical?

Christian constitutionalists have been on police and intelligence radars for years. With a liberal president in office, a blind spot may have developed regarding leftist extremists, especially American Black ones.

Black officers, as a group, come from very liberal communities. Anti-police and anti-White conditioning runs deep in these zip codes.

Our civil rights organizations, colleges, and political organizations all download anti-Establishment zealotry into young urban minds.

Are Black police immune to this programming?

The 1969 Black nationalist revenge novel “The Spook Who Sat By the Door” (also a 1973 movie) comes to mind.

A Black CIA officer uses his paramilitary skills to organize gangs to overthrow America because of racism.

I close with these final questions:

Is Christopher Dorner a real spook who sat by the door?

And, in the wake of rampant liberal programming of American Blacks since the sixties, is he the only one?

Charlie Sheen reaches out to ex-LAPD officer accused in killings

The actor Charlie Sheen recorded a video intended for the former LAPD officer accused of killing three people and writing a long manifesto that indicates he has intentions to kill more.

Sheen, who was praised in Christopher Dorner‘s manifesto, thanked the suspect for his ‘kind words’ but asked the man to call him.

“Let’s figure out together how to end this thing,” Sheen is recorded saying.

The 17-second video was posted Saturday on TMZ.

Meanwhile, authorities weathered heavy snow and freezing temperatures in the mountains, thousands of heavily armed police remained on the lookout throughout California, Nevada, Arizona and northern Mexico for Dorner apparently bent on revenge and willing to die.

Police said officers still were guarding more than 40 people mentioned as targets in a rant they said Dorner posted on Facebook. He vowed to use “every bit of small arms training, demolition, ordnance and survival training I’ve been given” to bring “warfare” to the LAPD and its families.

These Registered Gun Owners Should Be Confiscated

Christopher Dorner SC These Registered Gun Owners Should be Confiscated

Far-left media worshiper (by his own ranting) and registered Democrat ex-cop Christopher Dorner is on the loose hunting down and killing fellow officers and terrorizing Southern California. It appears to me we should take the current hysteria against our right to defend ourselves seriously. The evidence shows that all registered Democrats should be confiscated.

We know who they are-they’re registered! (No wonder they want the unregistered to vote – several times!)

Why is it the “progressive” liberals that steal guns then go and kill moviegoers, cops, and children in school have never been an NRA member?

Ft. Hood: Registered Democrat ~ Muslim

Columbine: Too young to vote; both families were registered Democrats and “progressive” liberals

Virginia Tech: Wrote hate mail to President Bush and to his staff – Registered Democrat

Colorado Theater: Registered Democrat, staff worker on the Obama campaign, Occupy Wall Street participant and “progressive” liberal

Connecticut School Shooter: Registered Democrat, hated Christians

Fast and Furious: 2400 assault rifles and other weapons given to drug cartels in Mexico where those regions under cartel control are moving from Catholicism to Islam. Eric Holder, Registered Democrat.

Arming the Muslim Brotherhood while trying to disarm American citizens: Barack Hussein ObamaRegistered Democrat

… And now Christopher Dorner – pray for him and our first responders and their families.

The common thread is that all of these perps were/are “progressive” liberal Democrats. INTERESTING, isn’t it?

Searchers struggle to pick up trail of former Los Angeles cop wanted in killing spree

All that was left were footprints leading away from Christopher Dorner‘s burned-out pickup truck, and an enormous, snow-covered mountain where he could be hiding among the skiers, hundreds of cabins and dense woods.

More than 100 officers, including SWAT teams, were driven in glass-enclosed snow machines and armored personnel carriers to hunt for the former Los Angeles police officer suspected of going on a deadly rampage to get back at those he blamed for ending his police career.

With bloodhounds in tow, officers went door to door as snow fell, aware to the reality they could be walking into a trap set by the well-trained former Navy reservist who knows their tactics and strategies as well as they do.

“The bad guy is out there, he has a certain time on you, and a distance. How do you close that?” asked T. Gregory Hall, a retired tactical supervisor for a special emergency response team for the Pennsylvania State Police.

“The bottom line is, when he decides that he is going to make a stand, the operators are in great jeopardy,” Hall said.

As authorities weathered heavy snow and freezing temperatures in the mountains, thousands of heavily armed police remained on the lookout throughout California, Nevada, Arizona and northern Mexico.

Police said officers still were guarding more than 40 people mentioned as targets in a rant they said Dorner posted on Facebook. He vowed to use “every bit of small arms training, demolition, ordinance and survival training I’ve been given” to bring “warfare” to the LAPD and its families.

At noon, police and U.S. Marshals accompanied by computer forensics specialists served a search warrant on his mother’s house in the Orange County city of La Palma. Dorner’s mother and sister were there at the time, and a police spokesman said they were cooperating.

The manhunt had Southern California residents on edge. Unconfirmed sightings were reported near Barstow, about 60 miles north of the mountain search, at Point Loma base near San Diego and in downtown Los Angeles.

Some law enforcement officials speculated that he appeared to be everywhere and nowhere, and that he was trying to spread out their resources.

For the time being, their focus was on the mountains 80 miles east of Los Angeles — a snowy wilderness, filled with deep canyons, thick forests and jagged peaks, that creates peril as much for Dorner as the officers hunting him. Bad weather grounded helicopters with heat-sensing technology.

After the discovery of his truck Thursday afternoon, SWAT teams in camouflage started scouring the mountains.

As officers worked through the night, a storm blew in, possibly covering the trail of tracks that had led them away from his truck but offering the possibility of new trails to follow.

“The snow is great for tracking folks as well as looking at each individual cabin to see if there’s any signs of forced entry,” said San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon.

The small army has the advantage of strength in numbers and access to resources, such as special weapons, to bring him in.

“We’re prepared to use our expertise …read more
