Director David O. Russell reunites with two of his stars from The Fighter, Oscar winner Christian Bale and Amy Adams, for American Hustle, which also stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro (all of whom previously worked with Russell on Silver Linings Playbook). Jeremy Renner rounds out the star-studded ensemble.

The crime flick (set against the backdrop of the ABSCAM case) has an especially Scorsese-esque vibe to it, wouldn’t you agree?

Sony has slated American Hustle for a December 13th release.

Where Will Superman vs. Batman Film?

Man of Steel was shot largely in Vancouver, but that’s not where its sequel — possibly titled Batman vs. Superman or Superman vs. Batman — will be filmed.

VanCityBuzz reports that the Warner Bros. sequel will lens in Toronto instead because their tax incentives for the film industry are better than those offered by British Columbia.

Henry Cavill is set to reprise his role as Superman. Also returning are director Zack Snyder, writer David S. Goyer, and cast members Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne. The role of Batman has yet to be cast. The sequel is slated for a 2015 release.

Hey Superheroes! Why so Serious?

Was I the only one who wanted Henry Cavill to smile more often in Man of Steel?

I wanted Amy Adams, who has proved she is hilarious in Enchanted and The Muppets, to crack a joke. I wanted Laurence Fishburne to take a leaf out of Lois and Clark’s Lane Smith in his Southern, Elvis-obsessed interpretation of Perry. I wanted a crooked smile. I yearned for a bit of self-awareness. I begged for good-natured cantankerousness.

But it was not to be. Instead, I got Russell Crowe floating around like a lost Shakespearean actor searching for his stage, and a tight-lipped Cavill carrying the weight of the world on his load-bearing shoulders, and Amy Adams sort of… running around. Very seriously.

Sprint Marks Major Accessibility Milestone: Opens its First CapTel Call Center Outside of the United States for Hearing Loss Community

Call center in New Zealand opens with ceremonial call from country’s Communications & IT Minister

Captions of phone conversations makes telecommunications more inclusive

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Sprint (NYS: S) , a leader in wireless accessibility, announced another milestone in the company’s effort to enable telecommunications for all. Sprint opened the first CapTel call center outside of the United States in Auckland, New Zealand. CapTel service provides captioned conversations for people with hearing loss.

Sprint marked the opening of the call center with a ceremonial call from Amy Adams, New Zealand communications and information technology minister, to Louise Carol, a New Zealand resident with hearing loss for the past 20 years.

With a special CapTel phone, users can read what the caller is saying while listening with their residual hearing. CapTel service breaks down barriers by enabling people who have hearing difficulty to enjoy telephone access.

“Collaborating with Sprint to provide CapTel service lifts telecommunications support for individuals with hearing loss to a whole new level,” said Adams, referencing the multiple relay services now available in New Zealand. “This positions New Zealand as a leader in providing telecommunications services that enable people with impaired hearing, speech and vision to participate on an equal basis with others.”

Sprint has provided relay services in New Zealand since 2004. Sprint’s long-standing relay partner, Communications Services for the Deaf (CSD), runs the call center in Auckland. “The collaboration ensures that relay users have a high-quality alternative to traditional telephone access,” said Mike Ellis, director-Relay Services for Sprint.

Sprint has long been a leader in accessibility for all customers and has been the nation’s premier provider of Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) for the past 22 years. Sprint is the TRS provider in 30 states and for the federal government. For more information about Sprint’s commitment to people with disabilities, visit the Accessibility for All page on sprint.com or www.sprintrelay.com.

What's Next for Tim Burton?

Filmmaker Tim Burton will direct Oscar winner Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams in Big Eyes, written by Ed Wood scribes Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The Weinstein Company will fund and distribute the project.

According to Deadline, Waltz and Adams will play Walter and Margaret Keane, whose paintings of large-eyed children became one of the first mass marketed art sensations in the 1950s and ’60s. While Margaret was generally considered the better artist of the two, Walter took the lion’s share of the credit. Following their divorce, they ended up in court over due rights to their artwork. Once there, a judge provided them with two easels and ordered them to prove which artist was more capable.

Fashion Darling Frank Ocean Now Modeling For Band of Outsiders

By Justin Fenner

If his front-row presence at the Fall 2013 shows in Paris wasn’t indication enough, it’s getting clearer that the industry loves Frank Ocean. Band of Outsiders‘ Scott Sternberg verified that affection by casting Ocean in the brand’s Spring 2013 Polaroid campaign.

Ocean posed for the images in looks from the brand’s Spring 2013 collection at the Los Angeles Times building earlier this month. Four of Sternberg’s shots were released Wednesday, but the brand plans to unveil a total of 23 images on its Instagram and Tumblr accounts in the coming days.

The singer joins a roster of stars including Michelle Williams, Amy Adams, Jason Schwartzman, and Andrew Garfield, among others, who have posed for the campaign in the past. A look at the first batch here in the gallery.
