Monaco creator Andy Schatz took to Facebook to update players on the status of the Xbox version of the game.
The game had been delayed on XBLA due to niggling bug. “We caught a bug that forced us to pull the release of the Xbox version of the game the day before release,” writes Schatz. “It was a minor but important bug that was causing disconnects in online play.”
But he’s optimistic that the issue will be resolved shortly. “I’m working on another fix now that I’m hoping to submit this week. Once it’s confirmed fixed it shouldn’t take long to push it through and get the game out. I can’t promise any particular dates since I don’t control that end of things, but I do know that fans are starting to get a little impatient with the lack of information.”

State of Decay will be released on XBLA and PC in June.
Yes, it’s another zombie game but State of Decay concentrates more on survival, stealth, evasion, and base-building in an open-world environment. You’ll work with a bunch of AI survivors to erect structures that will help you survive in a world overrun by the undead. To build these structures, however, requires exploring the world, scavenging raw material. Should you meet a zombie up close, you’ll still be able to get rid of them using a range of sturdy melee weapons.
It’s being developed by Undead Labs, founded by Jeff Strain. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because Strain was the lead programmer on World of Warcraft. The game has partnered with Microsoft Studios, so don’t expect to see it on PS3 anytime soon.

Back in March, we reported that Minecraft on Xbox 360 would get a retail release. Originally a digital-only title available via XBLA, in May of 2012, the retail iteration was set for release on April 30th.
But Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb — aka Major Nelson — has revealed that the game has been delayed until June 4th. “In order to include the very latest content,” he Tweeted, “the retail version for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has been delayed until June 4 (US)
” Other territories were scheduled to already get it in June; this presumably doesn’t change things for those areas of the world.

Ubisoft has announced that a HD remake of classic action adventure game Flashback will be available on PSN and XBLA later this year.
To celebrate the title’s 20th anniversary, the original creator of the game has re-rendered it in 3D using the Unreal engine, though you’ll still be playing in 2D. New voice acting has also been provided.
Flashback will follow the tale of familiar hero Conrad, returning to save humanity from an invasion of alien Morphs. To get an idea of what to expect from the game, check out the reveal trailer below.

If you don’t remember the Dungeons & Dragons arcade games Tower of Doom or Shadow Over Mystara, Capcom’s got your back. They’re bringing the pair to XBLA and PSN, as Siliconera reports.
Released in 1993 and 1996 respectively, Tower of Doom and Shadow of Mystara were side-scrolling beat-em-ups with RPG elements. They were known for their creative bosses and high difficulty.
This is the first time the pair have seen release since 1999, when they were in the now difficult to find Dungeons & Dragons Collection for the Sega Saturn.
“All of our levels have been randomly generated by an AI that we designed. These levels can range from being really easy, to almost impossible.” If this was a two sentence preview, Jordan Fisher, Lead Developer, would’ve just done our job for us, because, on the face of it, that description is Cloudberry Kingdom in a nutshell. A randomly generated, impossible to crack nutshell. But as we plumb the depths of the Cloudberry world, we realise there’s so much more to say about the 2D platformer.
The concept itself is fairly straightforward. Players explore an infinite amount of 2D side scrolling worlds with ‘heroes’ of varying ability, collecting crystals. It fits in perfectly with the recent resurgence of platform games that have dominated Steam, XBLA or the PSN, most of which are stylised tests in ingenuity and puzzle solving. It does however standout for its overt nostalgia. It’s a throwback to platform games of yesteryear where speed, timing and perseverance are skills you must wield, whilst playing in a perpetual state of rage.
A logo for “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon” has been spotted online, indicating that a spinoff could be on the way. The logo was originally spotted by XBLA watchdog lifelower on Twitter and later made its way to the NeoGAF forums. While it hasn’t shown up on Xbox.com just yet, the image bears the “Arcade” banner typical of Xbox Live Arcade and could suggest that a downloadable spinoff is set to be released soon.

Activision and Redfly’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, will release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this summer.
Out of the Shadows is a four-player online co-op brawler with a “skill-based combat system built around combo-driven action.” That could mean anything, but the concept is nice, especially after the Turtles in Time remake proved that simplistic combat doesn’t do the trick anymore.
Out of the Shadows is not based on Nickelodeon’s ongoing, excellent animated series, but exists in its own “hyper realistic 3D-style” world inspired by the show. For a clearer look at what that means, check out these images of Raphael, Donatello, Michaelangelo, and Leonardo below.
Puddle, originally released on XBLA and PSN a year ago, makes a middling first impression. The first area of the game – centered around moving liquid left and right past obstacles – is boring, with the only exemplary detail being the vivid, beautiful graphics. At that point the game is reminiscent of NightSky, a 3DS/PC game that presents a series of mediocre-to-good physics-based puzzle rooms that tell no discernable story and are in no particular order. Puddle eventually triumphs past the lackluster start, though, bringing in a novel progression and interesting mechanics – but it takes way too long to get to there.
At its base, the experience is very similar to Nintendo and Curve Studio’s Fluidity games, except the motion controls are optional. And terrible. You use the GamePad to tilt left and right, but it is extraordinarily imprecise and frustrating. Fortunately, the other two control methods – one using ZL and ZR and the other using an analog stick – are perfectly serviceable.
IGN recently sat down with DR Albright, founder and president of Signal Studios, who said explained the studio’s upcoming free-to-play XBLA game Ascend: New Gods requires an active internet connection at all time, even to play single-player.
Related, current rumors state that the next Xbox console will require a constant internet connection as well.
According to Albright, this has to do with the fact that “almost everything is hooked into some kind of database that we can just save and export without changing the executable, even content we’re running off of title manage servers,” meaning Ascend is always pinging information off of the server. The reason for this? Signal Studios “can’t authenticate a user without

Rejoice, Windows customers: games are coming! Microsoft has brought popular XBLA games to PCs (and the much-maligned Microsoft Surface) through its new program, Microsoft Play.
Launching with 15 well-known Xbox games available, and users will be able to access their own Xbox gamertag, statistics and even a new Marketplace down the road.
Diehard XBLA fans might be disappointed that the starting 15 titles are on the older end of XBLA‘s offerings, and a bulk of them are standard proprietary titles — Solitare, Minesweeper and Mah Jong are available, while new and more popular titles like The Binding of Isaac didn’t make the cut. It’s also worth noting that Toy Soldiers: Cold War is not available on Windows RT, which cuts the more exciting playable games down to just a handful.

Phil Fish, creator of the popular Xbox Live Arcade game Fez, has famously said that PCs are for spreadsheets and that Fez is a console game made for the couch and controller setup. It looked like a PC port for the awesome indie game would never happen. However, that thought may pass according to a recent blog post on the Polytron website. He writes:
2012 was crazy.
But what now?
2013 is going to be an interesting one, too.

Highly acclaimed XBLA game Fez will be heading to other platforms in 2013.
The man behind the mind-warping puzzler, Phil Fish, announced the news in a New Year‘s message on Polytron’s website. In a reflective post, Fish looks back on the release of the game, but looking ahead he wroteL
“But what now? 2013 is going to be an interesting one, too. For one, FEZ will finally be ported to other platforms.
“Yes, i’ve heard you, dozens of people emailing me everyday telling me how much of an idiot i am for not porting FEZ to everything.”
Fish doesn’t specify what platforms, but expect it to be heading to PC, PlayStation 3 and perhaps mobile and handheld devices, too.
