Report: Iran releases diplomat jailed 4 months

An Iranian news agency is reporting that authorities have released a veteran Iranian diplomat after nearly four months in prison.

The Sunday report by the semi-official ISNA says Bagher Asadi was released based on bail. It remained unclear why authorities detained the 71-year-old Asadi. He is known as a pro-reform figure.

In mid-March, authorities detained Asadi, who previously held a senior position at Iran’s U.N. mission. Asadi is an ally of former pro-reform President Mohammad Khatami.

In May, Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi confirmed the arrest of Asadi, describing the incident as a possible “misunderstanding.”

Iran says it will remain loyal to nuclear treaty

Iran‘s foreign ministry says the country is a committed signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and will continue cooperating with the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency.

Five major powers on Friday labeled Iran and North Korea as “serious challenges” to the world’s nuclear security, saying they have defied U.N. sanctions. They cited Iran‘s “continued pursuit of certain nuclear activities” as among the biggest threats to the treaty, the world’s most important pact on preventing the spread of nuclear arms.

Responding to the charge, the semi-official ISNA news agency on Saturday quoted Iran foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast as saying that Iran is “loyal” to its commitments under the treaty and will continue working with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The West suspects Iran is pursuing nuclear weapon, a charge Tehran denies.

Iranian lawmaker says Iran will never halt its nuclear program

A top Iranian lawmaker declared Sunday that Iran will never halt its nuclear development program, a day after the latest round of international talks failed to reach agreement on the issue.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the talks were “considered effective and a step forward,” but he added, “the Islamic Republic of Iran will never stop uranium enrichment activities.”

Boroujerdi, who heads a parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, said the talks should continue. He was quoted by the ISNA news agency.

Western powers are concerned that Iran may move toward production of nuclear weapons. Iran denies that, insisting that its program is peaceful.

World powers have repeatedly demanded that Iran close down its Fordo underground uranium enrichment plant that is enriching uranium up to 20 percent. Uranium that is enriched to 90 percent can be used in weapons.

The U.N. has enacted four rounds of economic sanctions against Iran to try to force it to curtail its program, but Iran has remained defiant.

“If one day the (Iranian) administration decides to close down Fordo, the parliament will oppose the decision, definitely,” Boroujerdi was quoted as saying. He said Iran will continue reinforcing the plant because of foreign threats. Both the U.S. and Israel have hinted at military action against Iran‘s nuclear facilities if diplomacy fails.

Ali Akbar Velayati, an adviser to Iran‘s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, blamed the West for failure at the weekend talks in Almaty, Kazakhstan. “The talks showed that the West is not honest in its remarks,” he told reporters.

He said Western powers cannot achieve progress “if they do not acknowledge Iran‘s natural rights” to enrich uranium.

Velayati is seen a leading candidate for June elections to pick a successor to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The comments were the first by top Iranian officials after the talks Friday and Saturday between Iran and the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany.

Senior lawmaker says nuclear talks effective

An Iranian senior lawmaker says the recent nuclear talks between Iran and world powers were effective.

The Sunday report by the semi-official ISNA news agency quotes Alaeddin Boroujerdi as saying that the talks were “considered effective and a step forward.”

Boroujerdi, however, says Iran will never stop its nuclear program.

The West suspects Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons. Iran has denied the allegation.

Boroujerdi, who heads a parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, says the talks should be continued.

His comments are the first after talks on Friday and Saturday in Kazakhstan between Iran and permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany. The discussions did not lead to any breakthrough in resolving the standoff.

Video: Muslim Brotherhood President

By Kris Zane

What if the President of the United States was aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood?

What if the President of the United States as far back as 2009, during the so-called “Cairo Speech” (where Obama tells us he was “reaching out to the Muslim world”) was setting the wheels in motion for the Arab Spring and the subsequent removal of long-time U.S. and Israel ally Hosni Mubarak from power? What if Obama was backing an organization and movement that calls for a global caliphate whereby the United States would exist under the thumb of an Islamic totalitarian government?

This is exactly what The Jerusalem Post columnist Caroline Glick argued in her piece “Obama’s Mysterious Visit” after Barack Obama made his first visit to Israel as President of the United States on March 19. Speaking of Obama’s 2009 “Cairo Speech,” her chillingly sentient piece says in part:

In contempt of Mubarak’s explicit wishes, Obama insisted on inviting members of the Muslim Brotherhood to attend his speech. In acting as he did, Obama signaled that under his leadership, the US was abandoning its support for Mubarak and transferring its sympathies to the Muslim Brotherhood.

…By addressing his remarks to the Muslim nation, Obama was perceived as openly rejecting Egyptian nationalism, and indeed the concept of unique national identities among the various Arab states. In so doing, Obama undercut the legitimacy of the Egyptian regime while legitimizing the pan-Islamic Muslim Brotherhood which rejects nationalism in favor of a call for the establishment of a global caliphate.

As subsequent events showed, the conditions for the Egyptian revolution that brought the Muslim Brotherhood to power were prepared during Obama’s speech at al-Azhar.

Is Barack Obama really aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood? Is Barack Obama in bed with an organization that has vowed our annihilation, to “destroy…Western civilization from within…”?

Shockingly, the answer is yes.

We all remember Doctor Benjamin Carson speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, speaking truth to power about the destructive aspects of ObamaCare, an overreaching and intrusive government, and a government that constantly tramples on the Constitution.

One could almost feel the loathng that Obama experienced as he sat next to Doctor Carson, seeing the look of rage on his face.

Another invitee and speaker, Sayyid Syeed, founder of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a Muslim Brotherhood front group, was also not pleased.

This is the same Syeed who has vowed that ISNA’s primary job is to alter the Constitution.

Yes, the same ISNA that has been aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood since 1988, as a recently declassified FBI memo states.

Yes, the same ISNA that was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2008/2009 Holy Land Foundation terrorist-funding trial.

Yes, the same ISNA where Valerie Jarrett was a keynote speaker at their annual convention in 2009.

Yes, the same ISNA where George Selim, the White House Director for Community Partnerships, has been an annual speaker at their conventions for years.

And as recently as March 8, Obama himself met with …read more

Iran arrests 2 journalists, bans reform papers

Iranian authorities have arrested two journalists and banned three reformist publications, part of a crackdown on news media.

The latest moves are seen in the context of rivalries among political factions ahead of June’s presidential election.

A report by semi-official ISNA news agency Wednesday says agents from Tehran prosecutor’s office detained managing editor Mohammad Mahdi Emami Nasseri and political editor Ali Reza Aghaeirad of the reformist Maghreb daily over an article that criticized President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last month.

ISNA also quoted lawmaker Ali Motahari as saying that prosecutor’s office has banned three reformist periodicals — Mehrnameh and Tajrobeh monthlies and the weekly Asseman. He gave no further details.

In recent months Iran has escalated its press crackdown, arresting dozens of journalists for alleged cooperation with foreign-based Persian-language media organizations.

Lawmaker says Iran will never close nuclear site

A prominent Iranian lawmaker is saying his country will never close the Fordo nuclear site in exchange for an ease in Western sanctions.

A Sunday report by the semi-official ISNA news agency quotes Alaeddin Boroujerdi, head of the influential parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy, as saying Fordo is a “center that will never be closed.”

Fordo, southwest of Tehran, is producing uranium enriched to 20 percent, which can be turned into weapons-grade material.

Boroujerdi said that closing the center, a longstanding demand by the West, would mean support to Israel, Iran‘s archenemy.

The remarks came 10 days before another round of nuclear talks between Iran and the West, which have been stalled since May.

The West suspects Iran is pursuing a weapons program, a charge Iran denies.

Video: Muslim Brotherhood Operatives Barack Obama And John Brennan

By Kris Zane

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) were found to be unindicted co-conspirators in the largest terrorist-funding trial in U.S. history—the 2008 Holy Land Foundation trial.

Yet the Obama administration has not only had contact with these groups, but has brought them into the White House—embraced them would be a more proper term—having “hundreds” of meetings beginning almost immediately after Obama ascended to power.

According to a Daily Caller investigation:

In 2009, a judge confirmed the Justice Department’s decision to name CAIR as an unindicted conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation conspiracy to smuggle funds to HAMAS, which is a jihadi affiliate of the Egypt-based brotherhood. Five men in the smuggling ring were sentenced to jail in 2009, including two who were given 65-year sentences.

Obama’s current chief counterterrorism advisor and CIA head appointee John Brennan spoke at an ISNA-sponsored (and White House approved) conference in February of 2010. Brennan used his time to parrot Barack Obama’s often-quoted meme about how great of a religion Islam was, about the “goodness and beauty of Islam,” that “Islam is a religion of peace,” etc. Brennan failed to explain, however, why jihadists continually refer to this “religion of peace” while strapping on suicide vests. Nor did he explain that the Holy Land Foundation trial named ISNA as a Muslim Brotherhood front group.

In October of 2011, the group Muslim Advocates wrote a letter signed by fifty-seven Muslim organizations, whose main signatories were CAIR and ISNA, demanding the Obama administration remove “bigoted” language found in FBI training materials— terms like “jihad” and “Islamist,” the rationale being that these terms “offended” Muslims.

Brennan responded to the letter personally and not only purged FBI training materials but implemented a mandatory re-training program for FBI agents; U.S. Army officers; and all federal, state, and local law enforcement who had been subjected to “biased training.” Those who refused to tow the politically correct line, like war hero and Army trainer Lt. Colonel Matthew Dooley, were summarily blacklisted.

Instead of purging FBI training materials of anything that “offends” the Muslim Brotherhood, America should purge this country of Muslim Brotherhood operatives John Brennan and Barack Hussein Obama.

Iran vows to avenge Guard commander's killing

A senior Iranian official has vowed to take revenge on Israel for its alleged involvement in the killing of a commander of Iran‘s powerful Revolutionary Guard.

The Guard has accused “mercenaries and supporters” of Israel being responsible for Wednesday’s killing of Gen. Hassan Shateri on the road linking Damascus to Beirut.

Israel has not commented on the killing.

Ali Shirazi, representative of Iran‘s supreme leader to the Guard, says Israel will soon pay the price for Shateri’s killing. His comments were reported by the semi-official ISNA news agency Saturday.

Iranian media say Shateri was in charge of reconstruction projects in southern Lebanon. It is unclear what he was doing in Syria.

Tehran is a close Syrian ally. It counts on Syria as a bridge to Lebanon‘s Shiite Hezbollah militant group.

Video: Obama Admin Orchestrated The Arab Spring

By Kris Zane

By most accounts, the Arab Spring went horribly wrong. The democratic elections that swept away dictators—for the most part friendly to the United States—have produced Islamic totalitarian governments.

Mohammed Morsi, president of Egypt, is probably the example par excellence. He quickly nullified the constitution,  neutered the judiciary, shut down any media that was critical of his government—branded as critical of Allah—and set up a macabre torture chamber.

Barack Obama, who championed this Arab Spring and even helped the Arab Spring along by arming and supporting the Libyan “rebels” (who were for the most part linked to Al Qaeda), apparently didn’t see this coming.

But Barack Obama is only human. He didn’t envision, like many others, that the people throughout the Middle East and North Africa would elect totalitarian Islamists that would become the Unites States’ enemy, right?

Although it is odd that Obama has embraced Mohammed Morsi with open arms. Mohammed Morsi is part of an organization—the Muslim Brotherhood—that has vowed to destroy the United States. In the words of one of their key documents:

The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…

Mohammed Morsi has called for the invasion of Jerusalem and annihilation of the Jewish people and for a worldwide caliphate that places every country—including the United States—under the thumb of a Muslim caliph.

And it is odd that Obama is sending F-16s to Egypt headed by a man who has vowed to destroy the United States and Israel.

Barack Obama couldn’t have planned to install Islamists throughout the Middle East and North Africa, could he?

That is something that can’t be imagined. A sitting U.S. president who is working with the enemy?

No.

Yet that is exactly what happened.

According to Tony Cartalucci, who was the first to report in his Land Destroyer Report on the database hacking scandal of defense contractor giant Britam, linking Barack Obama to a proposed false flag chemical weapons attack in Syria, the Obama administration was indeed behind the Arab Spring. The so-called “spontaneous grassroots movement” was nothing but a sham. Cartalucci describes in his recently published book War on Syria, Gateway to World War III:

…Local dissidents…received training, funding and material assistance from foreign powers through organizations funded largely by the US State Department…One of the organizations involved in recruiting, training, and supporting youth activists ahead of the “Arab Spring”…was Movements.org, or Alliance of Youth Movements,  [who] would later be described admitting to US funding and involvement in the “Arab Spring” uprisings.

Now it all makes sense. The Obama Administration’s hundreds of meetings with Muslim Brotherhood front groups CAIR and ISNA. Obama calling for long-time ally Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak to step down. The illegal war in Libya. Arming of the Muslim Brotherhood-controlled Egypt with tanks and F-16s. And now backing the Syrian “rebels” (Muslim-Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda …read more

Iran sentences American pastor Saeed Abedini to 8 years in prison

Christian pastor Saeed Abedini, an American imprisoned in Iran on charges of evangelizing, was sentenced this morning to eight years in prison.

According to the American Center for Law and Justice, Abedini was verbally sentenced in Tehran by Judge Pir-Abassi, known as the “hanging judge,” to eight years in prison for threatening the national security of Iran through his leadership in Christian house churches. He will serve the time in Iran‘s notorious Evin Prison, known as one of the most brutal.

The evidence, the ACLJ reports, was based on Abedini’s activities primarily during the early 2000s, when house churches were not considered a threat in Iran.

Iran‘s state news agency reported Monday that Abedini, who was born in Iran but now lives in Idaho, would soon be free. But the report, which came on the first day of Abedini’s trial, was seen by Abedini’s wife, Naghmeh, as just another cruel manipulation.

“This is all a lie by the Iranian media,” Naghmeh Abedini said. “This has been a repeated promise by the Iranian regime since Saeed was first thrown in prison on Sept. 26, 2012. We have presented bail. After the judge told Saeed’s lawyer that bail was back on the table, the family in Tehran ran around in circles today to make sure Saeed was let out on bail. But again the bail officer rejected bail.”

She said her husband’s attorney, Nasser Sarbazi, cautioned her that the report, first carried by the state-controlled ISNA news agency and picked up by The Associated Press, did not mean her husband was closer to freedom.

The 34-year-old father of two denied evangelizing in Iran and claims he had only returned to his native land to help establish an orphanage. Authorities pulled him off a bus last August and threw him into the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran.

The exact crimes he is accused of only became public on Monday, when the prosecutor outlined charges that Abedini undermined the Iranian government by creating a network of Christian house churches and that he was attempting to sway Iranian youth away from Islam.

FoxNews.com’s Perry Chiaramonte contributed to this report.

UN experts, Iran begin talks on nuclear probe

Senior U.N. investigators have opened a new round of talks with Iranian officials in the hopes of restarting a probe into Iran‘s suspected work on nuclear arms.

Iran‘s semiofficial ISNA news agency says the negotiations began at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran headquarters in Tehran Wednesday morning. It didn’t provide any further details.

Before departing Tuesday for Iran, U.N. team leader Herman Nackaerts said the International Atomic Energy Agency hoped to “finalize the structured approach” that would outline what the agency can and cannot do in its investigation.

The U.N. nuclear watchdog agency has tried for more than a year to restart its stalled investigations into allegations that Iran has worked on developing atomic weapons. Tehran steadfastly denies any such activity.

Video: Muslim Brotherhood Infiltrates The White House

By Kris Zane

RINO-in-Chief John McCain raked Rep. Michelle Bachman and other conservatives over the coals for merely requesting that the apparent Muslim Brotherhood influence on the Obama Administration be investigated.

It was a matter of public record that Huma Abedin, Deputy Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton—and thus having access to top secret information—has deep ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

It was a matter of public record that the Council on Islamic American relations (CAIR) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), both determined to be Muslim Brotherhood front groups and unindicted co-conspirators in the terrorist-funding trial United States v. Holy Land Foundation—had visited the White House, State Department, FBI, etc. hundreds of times.

It was a matter of public record that Muslim “outreach” groups like CAIR and ISNA went in and purged hundreds of pages of “offensive” words and phrases like “jihad” and “Islamist” from FBI training materials.

But conservatives were labeled as McCarthyites conducting a witch hunt and the call for an investigation was quickly shut down.

But now mainstream Egyptian newspaper, Rose-El-Youssef, published an article entitled “A Man and Six of the Brotherhood in the White House!” on December 22 admitting and bragging about Muslim Brotherhood infiltration!

What is more shocking than the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated the White House is that Obama has embraced this infiltration and is therefore a traitor to this country.

Video: Obama’s Ties To The Muslim Brotherhood

By Kris Zane

We hear the phrase bandied about that our government has been “infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood.”

That those who have openly called for the destruction of the United States are embedded in our government.

It sounds like something out of a spy novel.

But they say truth is stranger than fiction.

Huma Abedin, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff, privy to top secret information, has deep ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Valerie Jarrett, chief advisor to Obama—some say the most powerful person in the White House, even more so than Obama—made it her first piece of business in 2009 of addressing the Islamic Society of North America’s (ISNA) 46th annual convention.

ISNA was found to be a co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case, guilty of funneling millions of dollars to Hamas.

The head of ISNA, Mohamed Magid, was fêted at the White House as recently as last August, sitting next to Obama at the Iftar dinner, a place normally reserved for heads of state.

Think about it. The head of an organization found guilty of funneling money to terrorists sitting next to the President of the United States.

You can’t make this stuff up.

And that is only the beginning of the Muslim Brotherhood’s tentacles within our government. There have been literally hundreds of meetings with the State Department, the FBI, and the White House (just to name a few), all with Muslim Brotherhood front groups associated with the Holy Land Foundation case.

Muslim Brotherhood front groups like the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) literally went in and purged hundreds of pages of FBI training materials of terms like “jihad” and “Islamist”, the rationale being that these terms “offended” Muslims.

What are we to surmise from all these facts? Is the whole world crazy?

No.

Our government has in fact been infiltrated; and the man sitting in the White House, Barack Hussein Obama, is a traitor.

It’s as simple as that.

Iran paying Russian women who work at nuclear plant to cover up their bodies

An Iranian lawmaker is criticizing Russian women who work as technicians at one of the country’s nuclear plants for not following Islamic dress code.

Mehdi Mousavinejad told the state news agency ISNA, according to AFP, that Iran is paying the women to cover up their hair and most of their bodies.

“Unfortunately, they do not properly observe what is (asked of them), which is mentioned in the contracts,” he said.

In Iran, those who don’t follow hijab, which is the dress code, could face arrest or other punishments, AFP reports.

The women work at the Bushehr nuclear plant in southern Iran.
