Notebook: Grizzlies 104, Clippers 83

THE FACTS: Four games into the series, it’s dead even between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Clippers. The Grizzlies’ big men dominated the Clippers inside for a second straight game Saturday as Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol scored 24 points apiece to lead Memphis to a 104-83 Game 4 victory that tied the series at 2-2. The Clippers got 19 apiece from Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, but were held to just 33 percent shooting in a second half that saw them outscored 58-36 before a sellout crowd of 18,119 at FedExForum. Memphis also got 15 apiece from starters Tayshaun Prince and Mike Conley in its highest-scoring offensive performance of the series.

Clippers Top Grizzlies In Game 1, 112-91

LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Clippers played above the rim, not enough to live up to their Lob City moniker but enough to beat Memphis at its own rebounding game.

Chris Paul led seven players in double figures with 23 points, Eric Bledsoe had 15 and the Clippers dominated the boards in a 112-91 victory over the Grizzlies in their Western Conference playoff opener on Saturday.

Notebook: Clippers 96, Hornets 93

THE FACTS: In a tougher game than the Los Angeles Clippers would have liked with playoff seeding on the line, they came from 10 points down to beat the New Orleans Hornets 96-93. The Clippers used 10 points, two rebounds and assists and a block in the fourth quarter by Chris Paul to overcome the deficit. Paul finished with 17 points and 14 assists to go with seven rebounds to pace Los Angeles (54-26). Matt Barnes added 16 points and 10 rebounds and Jamal Crawford had 15 points off the bench.

Clippers Reach 50 Wins, Beat Suns 126-101 (VIDEO)

LOS ANGELES — The Clippers got their franchise-record 50th victory in their fourth try. It didn’t come without some fireworks that had nothing to do with celebrating.

DeAndre Jordan had 20 points and 12 rebounds, Chris Paul added 14 points and 12 assists, and Los Angeles led all the way in beating the last-place Phoenix Suns 126-101 on Wednesday night as tempers flared in the fourth quarter.

THE FACTS: This one was not close, unfortunately for Chris Paul and the Clippers. Collectively, they had little or no trouble with the Sixers on Wednesday night en route to a 101-72 victory at Staples Center. Had the game been a bit more competitive, Paul’s stats would have been far more impressive. With the outcome of the game no longer in doubt, he sat out most of fourth quarter and finished with 19 points, nine assists, six rebounds and five steals in less than 32 minutes of action. …read more

THE FACTS: Shooting guard Jamal Crawford scored a game-high 24 points as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-89. Power forward Blake Griffin collected 16 points and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles, while point guard Chris Paul added 11 points and a game-high 15 assists. Rookie shooting guard Dion Waiters scored 17 points for Cleveland, which played without All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving for the third straight game. Irving has a hyperextended right knee and is listed as day-to-day. The Clippers won at Quicken Loans Arena for the first time since March 10, 2002. …read more

Notebook: Celtics 106, Clippers 104

THE FACTS: The Boston Celtics nearly blew a 15-point fourth quarter lead, but managed to get some clutch shooting from Paul Pierce and Jason Terry in the final minute to escape with a 106-104 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. It was the fourth straight win for the Celtics since Rajon Rondo suffered a torn ACL, with all of the wins coming at the TD Garden. Pierce scored 15 of his team-high 22 points for the hosts in the second half, as the Celtics held off a furious comeback from the shorthanded Clippers, who were without Chris Paul (knee) for the seventh straight games. Eric Bledsoe had a game-high 23 points and 10 assists in the setback. It was the Clippers’ second straight loss overall.

Notebook: Thunder 109, Clippers 97

THE FACTS: Not even Chris Paul could have slowed the second-half onslaught by Kevin Durant and the Thunder. Durant scored 24 of his 32 points in the second half Tuesday night, hitting a big basket every time it seemed the Clippers were beginning a comeback. His efforts helped lift Oklahoma City to a 109-97 victory at Staples Center, clinching the season series between the league’s two best teams coming into the day.

THE FACTS: Clippers point guard Chris Paul returned from a three-game absence because of a bruised kneecap Saturday night and played as if he’d never been gone. He finished with 22 points, including a back-breaking step-back jumper with 32 seconds remaining, and distributed 11 assists to lead the cold-shooting Clippers to a 94-87 victory against the visiting Wizards at Staples Center.
