The Clippers got 19 apiece from Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, but were held to just 33 percent shooting in a second half that saw them outscored 58-36 before a sellout crowd of 18,119 at FedExForum. Memphis also got 15 apiece from starters Tayshaun Prince and Mike Conley in its highest-scoring offensive performance of the series.

THE FACTS: The Memphis Grizzlies did their best to slow the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round series Saturday night, but the home team eventually walked out of Staples Center in L.A. a 112-91 winner. If it wasn’t their league-best defense that tried to put a logjam in L.A.’s swift pace, it was the 57 personal fouls called during the game. But the Clippers finally found a window to run through, and off they went in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Grizzlies by 15 points on their way to the win.

The Clippers used 10 points, two rebounds and assists and a block in the fourth quarter by Chris Paul to overcome the deficit.
