Let's Play SimCity Every Day Forever

Excited for SimCity’s launch tomorrow? So am I — IGN‘s Greg Miller. I’m so excited that I’m streaming the game for nine hours here on IGN, but that’s tomorrow. Today, I’m debuting an ongoing feature.

It’s called IGN Plays SimCity. It’s super-catchy, I know.

Basically, each and every day at 12:30 p.m. Pacific (3:30 p.m. Eastern), I’m going to post a 10-minute SimCity commentary. Monday through Friday. I’ll keep doing it as long as you keep watching it. Dive in to my first three epsidoes, and I’ll see you tomorrow.

Get Ready for Wednesday’s PS4 Event Today

Excited for tomorrow’s PlayStation event in New York City that’s likely to be the reveal of the PlayStation 4? IGN is. In fact, we’re so excited that we’re hosting a Livestream for the event tomorrow at 2 p.m. – a full hour before the conference kicks off.

PS Plus Update: Free Closure, Lots of Discounts

It’s Monday, and that means that Sony’s sharing what PlayStation Plus benefits go live tomorrow when the PlayStation Store updates. PlayStation Plus, of course, is Sony’s subscription service where users pay a flat fee ($49.99 a year / $17.99 for three months) and are rewarded with exclusive demos, discounts, and free games for as long as they’re a subscriber.

  • Closure becomes free.
  • Critter Crunch sees an 80-percent discount.
  • Alien Breed sees a 20-percent discount.
  • Derrick the Deathfin sees a 50-percent of discount.

    Urban Trial Freestyle Release Date

    Last month, IGN introduced you to Urban Trial Freestyle — basically, a Trials HD for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Today, we can tell you it’s coming February 19th to the PlayStation Network. Urban Trial Freestyle puts you on a motorbike and challenges you with time trials, stunts and collectibles.     February 20th is coming very, very quickly. Two weeks ago, it was just a date, but now, all signs point to it being the day Sony pulls back the curtain on the next PlayStation console.     PlayStation Store Coming to the Web

    After launching a Web browser version of the PlayStation Store in Europe last year, Sony is ready to bring the feature to North America this month. Speaking with CNET, Sony Network Entertainment COO Shawn Layden confirmed that U.S. gamers will be able to view store content and buy it from their browser of choice – “Eventually, the Web store will allow users to buy a game on the browser and have that content automatically downloaded on the PlayStation 3,” the article states.
