Seedings announced for Vegas Summer League Championship

The inaugural NBA Summer League Championship, the second phase of NBA Summer League 2013 in Las Vegas, tips off Wednesday, July 17, at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. The Golden State Warriors earned the first overall seed while the Chicago Bulls are the second seed. Notebook: Bobcats 105, Cavaliers 98

THE FACTS: In a matchup of young point guards, Kemba Walker scored a game-high 24 points as the Charlotte Bobcats held off the Cleveland Cavaliers 105-98 at Time Warner Cable Arena in the season finale for both teams. The Bobcats finish the season at 21-61 tripling their win total from a year ago. Kyrie Irving scored 24 points for the Cavaliers who finish the season 24-58

Notebook: Knicks 106, Bobcats 95

THE FACTS: The New York Knicks used what amounted to a glorified summer league roster Monday night and it showed as they lost 106-95 in a meaningless game to the league’s worst team, the Charlotte Bobcats, at Time Warner Cable Arena. Charlotte, which led by as many as 23 points, was led by Gerald Henderson with 27 points. The Knicks were paced by Chris Copeland‘s career and game-high 32 points.

Notebook: Pistons 113, Bobcats 93

THE FACTS: Jonas Jerebko came off the bench and matched his season high with 21 points as the Detroit Pistons stretched their winning streak to three games and handed the Charlotte Bobcats their fourth straight loss 113-93 at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Friday. Brandon Knight had 19 points and seven rebounds and Will Bynum contributed 15 points and 10 assists. Rookie center Andre Drummond, coming off a career-high 29-point performance at Cleveland on Wednesday, added 15 points and nine rebounds before spraining his right ankle with 5:30 remaining. Kemba Walker led Charlotte with 28 points and six assists.
