Industry’s Top Mobility Experts Emerge from Aruba Networks’ Airheads Conference Ready to Secure and Manage BYOD
Airheads Social Platform Celebrates One-Year Anniversary, Expands to More Than 11,000 Members
SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Aruba Networks, Inc. (NAS: ARUN) , a leading provider of next-generation network access solutions, today announced that its 2013 Airheads Conference doubled in attendance from last year, with more than 1,200 mobility technical experts convening March 12-15 at the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan Hotel. This record number of attendees from the end user, channel partner and vendor communities met to share best practices, complete training and certifications, and receive early previews of the latest innovations from Aruba Networks and its partners.
With the rise of mobility and the challenges of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) phenomenon, Airheads has become the industry’s only conference focused on fusing the disparate technology silos of wireless and RF, mobile security, and mobile device and application management. Topics addressed during conference sessions included optimizing the air for voice and video applications like Microsoft Lync, designing for the all-wireless office and crafting a robust BYOD policy for users, devices and applications.
The conference marked the first anniversary of the Airheads Social platform, an interactive community where participants can share with and learn from the leading mobility innovators and practitioners in the networking industry. Airheads Social has seen exponential growth in the last 12 months, with over 11,000 members now registered online, and amassing more than 3 million page and message views per month — representing 100% year over year growth.
At the Airheads Conference, Aruba announced its 2013 Airheads MVPs (Most Valuable Players), with more than 50 community members recognized for their technical expertise as well as their contributions to the Airheads Community. The Airheads MVPs come from a diverse range of customers and partners, including technical leaders from leading financial services firms, retail and I.T. companies as well as large universities and healthcare organizations. This year’s MVPs come from 18 different countries and represent approximately 27% of the total posts made to Airheads Social for the year.
“The Airheads Conference is a ‘must-attend’ event for any mobility professional,” said Matthew Sabin, Airheads MVP Expert and Network Engineer, WinCo Foods. “The opportunities for networking at the conference with knowledgeable industry experts are tremendous and the content is invaluable for keeping up with technology advances and solutions for end user requirements. I plan to make this a regular event …read more
