THE FACTS: With the fourth seed secured, the Nets can start reaching for the next rung on the Eastern Conference Playoff ladder. After blowing a 24-point lead, then rallying to pull out a 117-109 victory Friday in Indiana, Brooklyn (47-32) clinched homecourt advantage in the first round of the playoffs and moved two games back of the No. 3 Pacers (49-30). Because the Nets swept the season series, they’d hold the tie-breaker over Indiana. Brooklyn’s final three games are against lottery teams, while the Pacers face the Knicks and Celtics before closing the season against Philadelphia. While the Nets have surged to four straight wins, the Pacers have dropped three of four — and needed to come back from a 20-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat Cleveland Tuesday. Deron Williams scored 33 to lead the Nets but limped out late in the game after banging knees with Paul George. Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez scored 24 apiece. David West scored 26 and George 21 for Indiana.

Brook Lopez added 21 points, while Joe Johnson chipped in with 20 in the balanced offensive effort for the visitors, which helped Brooklyn build and maintain a double-digit lead for nearly the entire second half. Paul Pierce had 23 points in the loss, hurting Boston’s chances at moving up in the Eastern Conference standings before the postseason. THE FACTS: The Brooklyn Nets beat the Indiana Pacers 89-84 in overtime on Monday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Indiana led 76-72 with 1:38 left, but missed its final four shots of regulation as the Nets rallied to force overtime thanks to Joe Johnson‘s tough driving floater with 13 seconds remaining. New Jersey (30-22) then dominated the extra session to win going away. It was the Nets’ ninth consecutive overtime win, and fourth this season. Brook Lopez was dominant for the Nets, who played without injured point guard Deron Williams, racking up 25 points and eight rebounds. Johnson scored 17 while Reggie Evans yanked 22 rebounds. THE FACTS: Brook Lopez scored 22 points, 10 of them in the first six minutes, as the Brooklyn Nets opened a quick 12-point lead to win in Minneapolis for the first time in more than a decade, handing the Minnesota Timberwolves a 91-83 loss in Target Center. The Nets, who improved to 12-2 under interim coach P.J. Carlesimo, outscored the Wolves 14-2 in the first four minutes and never trailed, breaking an eight-game losing streak in Minnesota. Brooklyn guards Joe Johnson and Deron Williams added 18 points apiece, while Andrei Kirikenko led Minnesota with 15 points. Wolves guard Ricky Rubio did not play in the fourth quarter, at one point called back from the scorers’ table when fill-in coach Terry Porter elected to stick with J.J. Barea, and the second-year guard was visibly angry on the bench, with teammates trying to calm him down.

THE FACTS: Four Deron Williams free throws and a big block from Brook Lopez carried the Nets down the stretch of a 94-89 victory over the Hawks Friday night at Barclays Center. The Nets (24-16) won the back end of a home-and-home set after getting blown out two nights ago in Atlanta. The Nets looked to be on the verge of coughing up an eight-point lead before the late heroics from Williams and Lopez. Williams, Lopez and Joe Johnson, the former Hawks player, combined for 62 points. After struggling in his return to Atlanta, Johnson sank three 3-pointers in the third quarter to break out of a short funk. The Hawks (22-17) got good production from Jeff Teague with 21 points, 10 assists.
