Best & Worst Beauty Of The Week: Kiernan Shipka, January Jones, Selena Gomez & More (PHOTOS)

The best beauty looks this week showcased great hair. “Mad Men” starlet Kiernan Shipka sported an age-appropriate updo, while “Iron Man 3″ actress Rebecca Hall proved that she has the best effortless summer waves.

And the worst looks of the week were hair-raising, too — Kelly Osbourne may have forgotten that she has bright purple hair when she applied too much self-tanner and Uma Thurman (who was looking stellar just last week!) may have skipped out on shampooing and/or brushing her hair before hitting the red carpet.

Murphy Joins Dark Knight DP's Transcendence

Add Cillian Murphy to the list of talent joining Wally Pfister’s Transcendence, which already has Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany, Kate Mara, Rebecca Hall and Morgan Freeman onboard.

Murphy’s involvement isn’t too surprising. The actor played Dr. Jonathan Crane (aka Scarecrow) in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, all of which were shot by Pfister. Transcendence will mark the DP‘s directorial debut.

Iron Man 3 Parties Like It's 1999

In a recent interview, Rebecca Hall talked a bit about her experience playing Dr. Maya Hansen in Iron Man 3, starting with her character’s involvement in the Extremis project.

“Extremis is a formula that my character Maya Hansen has developed that essentially reprograms your genetic code… But it’s got some issues and problems,” Hall explained to Marvel.com. “

is involved in the whole Iron Man world because she met Tony Stark a long time ago when she was an M.I.T. student being funded to do research in a certain field that he’s also a specialist in.”

Iron Man 3's Hall Joins Depp-Nolan Sci-Fi Film

Alcon Entertainment announced today that Iron Man 3’s Rebecca Hall has joined the cast of Transcendence, the upcoming sci-fi film starring Johnny Depp and executive produced by Christopher Nolan.

Hall and Nolan previously worked together on The Prestige.

Transcendence marks the directorial debut of Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister (Nolan’s TDK trilogy, Inception). While the official release wouldn’t divulge plot details, prior reports claim Depp plays a scientist who is reportedly working on a programming code for the world’s first fully self-aware computer. Hall’s character has previously been described as both a scientist and Depp’s wife.

Filming begins this April in Los Angeles. Paul Bettany, who’ll soon reprise his role as the voice of Jarvis in Iron Man 3, also recently joined the cast.
