Actor David Conrad is about to begin spending time with the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TVLine’s Michael Ausiello broke the news that Conrad, best known for his role as Jennifer Love Hewitt’s husband on Ghost Whisperer, will be playing a recurring role on the new ABC series, which ties into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Director Edgar Wright confirmed this week that he and co-writer Joe Cornish have completed their Ant-Man script, which recently called for a facelift in order to fit into the modern Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For all his success, Robert Downey Jr., as Iron Man, has never proven to be as popular as either Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield, both of whom have played Spider-Man on the big screen. All that could change when Iron Man 3 debuts on May 3.
The film could follow in the footsteps of Marvel’s The Avengers, and bring Walt Disney another billion-dollar box office, says Tim Beyers of Motley Fool Rule Breakers and Motley Fool Supernova in the following video.
Sony‘s best performance from a Spidey film came in 2007, when Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 earned $90.9 million worldwide, according to data supplied by Box Office Mojo.

For how long can Robert Downey, Jr. play Iron Man? It’s a nice problem for Marvel to have, one supposes, considering that it was only five years ago when the first Iron Man film was about to come out and the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe was an unproven concept.
But the fact is, Downey, Jr. is getting expensive for Marvel. The notoriously cost-conscious studio reportedly had to fork over upwards of $50 million to the actor for The Avengers, including box office bonuses and backend compensation. Plus, word has it that Downey, Jr.’s contract is up after Iron Man 3 hits this May, so Empire recently asked Tony Stark himself how much longer he might stick around in the metal suit.
