Jacobs Awarded Contract Option Year for Work at NASA Michoud Assembly Facility

PASADENA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYS: JEC) announced today that it has been has been awarded a second option year by NASA for its Manufacturing Support and Facility Operations Contract (MSFOC) at the George C. Marshall Space Flight Center‘s Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans, La.

The option year has a potential value of $138 million.

MAF is managed by the Marshall Space Flight Center and contains one of the largest production buildings in the US, providing the unique capability of manufacturing large aerospace structures at a single location. Widely known for its key role in the design, assembly, and manufacture of the Space Shuttle external tank, MAF now supports the development and manufacture of new hardware including the Space Launch System (SLS), designed to provide transportation for future American space exploration. MAF is operated under a multi-tenant business model to offset operational costs, freeing up funds to support critical space programs like the SLS.

Expanding Delivery of Oil and Gas Expertise in Asia

PASADENA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYS: JEC) announced today it has been selected by Shell Hong Kong Limited to provide detailed design for its Transformer Oil Project located at its Tsing Yi installation in Hong Kong.

Officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that the work is being performed from Jacobs’ China operations in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing detailed design engineering services for modifications to Shell’s existing terminal facility to enable the processing of transformer oil. Shell’s 47-acre Tsing Yi installation supplies Hong Kong and Macau with a wide range of oil, gas and chemical products.

Jacobs Receives Contract from Sanofi Pasteur for Aguila II Project

PASADENA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYS: JEC) announced today that it was awarded a contract from Sanofi Pasteur to provide detail engineering services for the expansion and refurbishment of its Flu Vaccine Facility in Ocoyoacac, Mexico.

Officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that this is the second phase of the Aguila Project; the first phase was executed in 2010 by Jacobs’ offices in Lyon, France and Mexico City, Mexico. Jacobs is executing this detail engineering phase of the project from its Mexico operations. The overall goal of the project is to increase plant production capacity.

PASADENA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYS: JEC) announced today that it has been selected by Santos, one of Australia‘s largest domestic gas producers, to be a member of its panel of contractors for services to its Eastern Australia Business Unit (EABU).

Officials did not disclose the value or duration of the contract, but noted that the services are being provided from Jacobs’ Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane offices.

As a member of the panel, Jacobs is providing engineering, design and project management services to Santos for a range of brownfield, environmental and water, flow-line and greenfield projects (excluding major strategic projects) for its oil and gas assets throughout the central and east coast regions of Australia.

One of Two Ohio River Crossings Being Designed by Jacobs

PASADENA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYS: JEC) announced today that it is the lead design sub-consultant for the Walsh Construction Company VINCI Construction Grands Projets joint venture. The Walsh VINCI Construction joint venture is the design-build team for WVB East End Partners, who have been selected by the Indiana Finance Authority (IFA) to deliver the East End Crossing Project.

Officials did not disclose the contract value; however noted that under the terms of the sub-consulting agreement, Jacobs is responsible for the design of a signature cable-stayed bridge, a major tunnel and highway interchanges. The work is part of the Ohio River Bridges Project, East End Crossing, one of the largest transportation improvements in the nation.

The IFA is responsible for the procurement of the East End Crossing, and has recently signed a public-private partnership agreement with WVB East End Partners. WVB East End Partners is a consortium that includes Walsh Investors LLC, VINCI Concessions Investment USA., and Bilfinger Project Investments.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is responsible for the Downtown Crossing, another Ohio River Bridge project which Jacobs is also designing under a separate subcontract with Walsh Construction Co.

PASADENA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYS: JEC) announced today that it has been selected by the Shell Company of Australia Ltd. for its Clyde Terminal Conversion Project in Sydney, Australia.

Officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that the work is being performed from Jacobs’ Australian operations in Melbourne and Sydney.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is initially providing a Basic Design and Engineering Package (BDEP) to convert the Clyde Refinery and associated satellite Gore Bay Terminal into a competitive product import terminal. Subject to subsequent approval, Jacobs is also expected to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCm) services in the delivery phase of the project.

This contract continues our relationship with Shell in Australia, where we have successfully implemented clean fuels upgrades at Shell’s Geelong and Clyde refineries.”

The Clyde Terminal Conversion Project involves extensive upgrades, refurbishment and re-use of the existing crude and product tankage that supplies truck loading and pipeline operations helping to service Sydney airport and Shell’s distribution of fuels into the New South Wales market from Parramatta Terminal.
