THE FACTS: The Oklahoma City Thunder took a rollercoaster ride to victory in their first game without All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook. The Thunder squandered a 26-point second-quarter lead before Kevin Durant received a friendly bounce on a critical 3-point attempt in the final minute of regulation to help lift Oklahoma City to a 104-101 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 3 of their first-round Western Conference playoff series Saturday at Toyota Center.

Notebook: Rockets 136, Mavericks 103

THE FACTS: Behind a scorching shooting performance from Chandler Parsons and a dominant third quarter, the Houston Rockets ended a lengthy losing streak against an in-state rival about as convincingly as anyone could have imagined. Parsons scored a career-high 32 points on 12-for-13 shooting, and the Rockets snapped a nine-game skid against the Dallas Mavericks with a 136-103 rout Sunday at Toyota Center. THE FACTS: In a battle of contrasting styles, the Brooklyn Nets were a step too slow for the running Houston Rockets, who won 119-106 on Saturday night at Toyota Center. James Harden scored 29 points and dished out seven assists, while Omer Asik finished with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Chandler Parsons added 16 points, a career-high 11 assists and six boards. Jeremy Lin poured in 14 points to go with nine dimes for Houston (24-22), which has put together back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly three weeks.
