Style Set: The Week's Best Dressed

By Randy Miller

Who wasn’t in the Hamptons this weekend? Rag & Bone brought Hilary Rhoda and Cameron Diaz out for dinner with Baby Buggy, while a dramatic crowd – including Lindsey Wixson, Rick Owens, and Polina Proshkina – gathered at the Watermill Center’s annual Summer benefit.

Those who weren’t beaching on the East Coast went glam with Natalia Vodianova in Monaco. At the annual Love Ball, which was made a royal affair with attendees including Princess Charlene of Monaco and Princess Caroline of Hanover, guests donned fittingly romantic gowns for The Naked Heart Foundation. A look at all the stylish parties attended, here in the gallery.

Jenna Lyons and Courtney Crangi Pose For V Magazine

By Justin Fenner

“For me the best thing is knowing that someone really has your back,” says Jenna Lyons in an interview for the March issue of V Magazine. Also in the issue is result of Lyons’s first public photo shoot with her partner Courtney Crangi, a black-and-white portrait of the duo shot by Willy Vanderperre. In it, both women wear white shirts (Lyons’s is from J.Crew, naturally, while Crangi’s is from Rag & Bone) and both rave about each other.

“Like no matter what happens she has my best interests at heart,” Lyons says of Crangi. “I think there are a few moments in life where that actually happens, and that feels, like, completely true and real.”

Crangi repays the compliment, saying “I think the most amazing about Jenna, although there are many amazing things about her, is really her grace under pressure. She’s just incredibly gracious at all times.”

Lyons has certainly borne the increasing attention to her personal and professional life with grace. Just last month she opened up about her work and her relationship with Crangi to The New York Times. But what better way is there to announce one’s love to the world than a photo in a well-known magazine?

Rag & Bone Fall 2013

By Justin Fenner

There’s a toughness in Marcus Neville and David Wainwright’s Fall 2013 collection for Rag & Bone, and it might come from their abundant use of houndstooth with a little bite. The duo showed the pattern in some bold iterations: monochromatic on sweaters and skirts, or oversized and multicolored on other pieces of knitwear. Of course the motorcycle chic matelassé pieces (a pair of gray trousers sticks out) helped with that feeling, as did the no nonsense hair and makeup the models wore. Pops of bright color – an orange lapel here, a royal blue ribbed collar there – kept the show fresh and fun. Our full review will be posted soon. Until then, a look at the full collection in the gallery.

Retro Plus Modern Equals the Minimalist Look at Rag & Bone

By Jessica Cruel

For 2013, the girl at Rag & Bone was full of contradictions: retro and modern, feminine yet androgynous, and both soft and strong. Gucci Westman (for Revlon) created a graphic eyeliner shape that is simple to translate for the average woman. And the hair . . . let’s just say it’s ideal for the woman who loves to hit the snooze button.

The look: A chignon for bedheads, pseudo-’60s eyeliner, mannequin nails.
The inspiration: Edie Sedgwick and androgynous men.
Trends: Hair that is texturized and matte instead of sleek.
