Nicki Minaj Twerks In A Monokini, Shows Miley Cyrus How It’s Done (VIDEO)

By The Huffington Post News Editors

From the people who brought you Nicki Minaj’s derriere in a thong comes… Nicki Minaj twerking in a cutout monokini in a pool!

The singer posted the racy video to her Instagram account two days ago and captioned it “#TwerkDatAssThusdays.” Besides shaking her back-end (to no audible music), Minaj also lets the camera peek down her front, then climbs onto a motorcycle that has her face on it.

Miley Cyrus, take note.

‘American Idol’ Feud: Nicki Minaj Interrupts Mariah Carey, Tells Her To ‘Simmer Down, Sir’ (VIDEO)

By The Huffington Post News Editors

The judges haven’t been interacting with one another that much at all this season on “American Idol.” Perhaps that’s because when they do, things get contentious as they did this week when Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey disagreed on a critique. It all went down after Kree Harrison‘s performance when Nicki said she didn’t agree with what Mariah was saying.

Mariah interjected into Nicki’s comments to try and clarify how they disagreed, because she didn’t see it. “So, you don’t really disagree with me,” she surmised at one point, but Nicki said she did. “I’ll explain,” she said.

“Oh, Okay. Because i disagree with your disagreement,” Mariah said.

Competition Gets Pantsed by Kmart

By Rich Duprey, The Motley Fool

Filed under:

I’ll admit that when it comes to Sears Holdings , I’m not a big fan of the company. I see its death spiral as a slow, painful one for investors. It’s too bad a new marketing campaign for its new Kmart shipping services isn’t the norm, because it’s the type of promo that makes the once venerable retailer seem relevant again.

Laden with innuendo, Kmart’s “Ship My Pants” commercial highlighting the ability of shoppers to get items shipped for free from the company’s website if it can’t be found in stores is actually a pretty funny spot. It’s gone viral, too, serving up more than 5 million hits at this writing, even though it was posted to YouTube just last week.

One actor remarks how excited he is that he can “ship my pants,” while a woman notes that she “shipped my drawers” and a third person can’t believe he “shipped my bed.”

It’s the kind of advertising that’s fresh, despite being tinged with bawdiness. Contrast that with an out-of-touch and out-of-fashion decision by Sears to launch clothing lines by pop stars Nicki Minaj and Adam Levine — an all too reminiscent retread of its Kim Kardashian clothing line — and you have to give them props for going a different route here.

Not that the actual service Kmart is providing is unique, mind you. Wal-Mart offers a free ship-to-store feature, as do J.C. PenneyRadio Shack, Toys R Us, Nordstrom , and a number of other retailers. Actually, so committed to customer service is Nordstrom that it’s even had employees drive items to a customer’s house at no charge to ensure they get it.

Yet the service does set Kmart apart from some of its top rivals, such as Target , which offers only a standard free shipping option if you use your Target credit card for the purchase. Macy’s doesn’t offer it at all.

Yet for those that do provide a free ship-to-store option, Kmart has separated itself by promoting it in a fun, memorable way. But let’s see just how many customers decide to avail themselves of the opportunity and whether it can have an impact on a steadily declining retail base. As the Pets.com sock puppet made clear, a clever advertising campaign doesn’t always translate into sales.

Out of stock
J.C. Penney’s stock cratered under Ron Johnson‘s leadership, but could new CEO Mike Ullman present the opportunity investors have been waiting for? If you’re wondering whether J.C. Penney is a buy today, you’re invited to claim a copy of The Motley Fool’s must-read report on the company. Learn everything you need to know about Penney’s turnaround — or lack thereof. ‘Idol’ Results: Burnell Taylor Eliminated And Top 6 Are Revealed

By The Huffington Post News Editors

The “Idol” results are in and Burnell Taylor is going home.

Burnell and Janelle Arthur were in the Bottom 2. He was one of two remaining guys in the competition and sang India Arie’s “Ready For Love” for the save. The performance had Candice Glover in tears and Mariah Carey got choked up as well. But it wasn’t enough for the judges: Randy Jackson announced they wouldn’t use their one save of the season for Burnell as tears filled Mariah and Nicki Minaj‘s eyes.

Rock week was certainly a success for Candice, Kree Harrison, Janelle Arthur and Amber Holcomb, but slighltly rocky for others, Burnell included. He kicked off the night with Bon Jovi’s “You’ve Give Love A Bad Name” and was very out of his element. All of the judges applauded Burnell’s effort to step into some studded duds, but judge Keith Urban said he thought Burnell needed to make the song his own.

‘Idols’ Results: Devin Velez Eliminated And Top 7 Are Revealed

By The Huffington Post News Editors

This week’s “Idol” results are in and Devin Velez is going home.

He sang Perry Como’s “It’s Impossible” in both English and Spanish, bringing Mariah Carey to tears. Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban were on their feet. However, the judges decided not to keep Devin around, despite the audience chanting, “Save! Save! Save!”

Unsurprisingly, the three remaining men — Velez, Lazaro Arbos and Burnell Taylor — wound up in the Bottom 3. After Wednesday night’s Detroit-themed performances, many believed the trio of guys would wind up in the bottom. The judges, Nicki Minaj in particular, annihilated their take on The Four Tops “Can’t Help Myself.” Angie Miller also fell slightly out of the judges’ favor with her solo performance of guest mentor Smokey Robinson’s “Shop Around.”

Nicki Minaj Pegs Papa Peachez As Her Favorite Gay ‘American Idol’ Contestant

By The Huffington Post News Editors

Eccentric “Starships” rapper Nicki Minaj jumped on a conference call with reporters on March 25, as Us Weekly notes, to talk about her current run on Fox’s “American Idol.”

During the call the newly-crowned reality TV judge discussed her favorite gay “Idol” contestant, being a polarizing figure on the show, her connection to the contestants and more.

When asked if the “Pink Friday” rapper had a gay contestant from the show she was especially fond of, she called out Papa Peachez. She said that the Mississippi-native was a “superstar,” but that he wasn’t aware of it.

‘Idol’ Results: Curtis Finch Jr. Goes Home In First Live Elimination For Season 12

By The Huffington Post News Editors

The “Idol” results are in!

And it was Curtis Finch Jr. going home in the first live elimination for Season 12.

The singer covered Fantasia’s “I Believe” on Wednesday’s performance show and sadly, the rendition landed him in the Botttom 2 with Devin Velez. When the results were revealed, “Idol” judge Nicki Minaj said that if Curtis went home, she was going home, but ultimately he earned the lowest number of votes.
