The A-Z of Iron Man

The summer movie season is about to enjoy the sounds of Black Sabbath and exploding robots when Iron Man 3 hits theaters. This highly anticipated sequel marks the official start of Marvel Studios’ Phase 2 movie lineup and the fifth time Robert Downey Jr. has played Tony Stark.

If you haven’t watched the previous Marvel movies in a while (or read some of the comics), there are a lot of faces to remember.That’s why we’ve put together the A-Z of Iron Man to help get you primed for this latest superhero epic.

Even the world’s most egocentric billionaire playboy philanthropist needs a team to hang around. When faced with a challenge too great for any one hero to overcome, Iron Man turns to Earth’s Mightiest to get the job done. In Marvel’s The Avengers, that group numbers only six plus assorted S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but dozens and dozens of heroes have called themselves Avengers in the comics. Even though Tony faces one of his greatest challenges yet in the form of the Mandarin, don’t expect him to be turning to his fellow Avengers for help. He’s going to handle things with a little help from his armory.

Rumors About Marvel's Phase 3 Movies

The rumor mill has hulked out over Marvel Studios‘ Phase 3 movie slate.

The report comes via Latino-Review and should the rumors pan out (they do have a sweet track record) then consider these pretty giant SPOILERS AHEAD.

Like, seriously, don’t read any further if you don’t want to know.

You’re really going to go through with this, aren’t you?

OK, well, we warned you.

According to Latino-Review, Marvel’s The Avengers 2 will see Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk shipped off Earth by the MCU’s (Marvel Cinematic Universe) version of the Illuminati. That means one of Marvel’s Phase 3 movies would be a live-action Planet Hulk film. (Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently revealed that Ant-Man and Doctor Strange would also be Phase 3 movies.)
