SAN DIEGO — Thor’s evil brother, Loki, took over the Marvel Studios presentation at Comic-Con on Saturday.
Lights flashed inside the San Diego Convention Center’s largest exhibition hall, and Tom Hiddleston, dressed as Loki, commanded the stage. He called Hall H “a meager palace of Midgard” before showing footage from “Thor: The Dark World.”

The cavernous Hall H was packed with Marvel fans for the studio’s movie presentation, which also included a sneak peek at Captain America: The Winter Soldier and the studio’s Phase 3 slate. No cast members were there … but a certain character was: Loki!
Yes, Tom Hiddleston made a surprise, in-character appearance as the god of mischief who demanded the crowd show him glory if they wanted to see what was in store for the Marvel panel. Hiddleston was clearly enjoying himself, cracking himself up at a few points.

Loki might be the new Eric Draven as Thor and Avengers star Tom Hiddleston is reportedly in “early talks” to play the lead role in Relativity Media‘s reboot of The Crow. The James O’Barr comic was first adapted for the screen in 1994, starring the late Brandon Lee.
According to TheWrap, “Hiddleston recently had dinner with producers and sent them a makeup test that he did on his own in London. He will undergo a proper makeup test in the coming days, as the character’s appearance is important to fans of the franchise, who should be delighted with the casting of a major member of the Marvel universe.”
