OBJE and Partners Submit First Game to Apple App Store

SARASOTA, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Obscene Interactive, the gaming division of OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE), is proud to announce that its debut gaming app, Phantasmic, has been submitted to the Apple (NAS: AAPL) App Store in conjunction with its developer, Novalon Games.

The submission is the culmination of months of hard work by OBJE and its partners to capitalize on the incredible rise in popularity of free-to-play games for both Apple and Android devices. According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, the App Store brings in annual sales of $25 billion, driven largely by gaming titles. Earlier this year, the App Store hit 40 billion downloads since its inception, including 20 billion in 2012 alone.

In a joint venture with Source Street, OBJE formed gaming developer Novalon Games late last year to produce exciting new titles primed to succeed in the App Store and Google Play platforms. Once Phantasmic is approved by the App Store, the company expects to begin earning revenue from in-game purchases by downloaders.

“This is a major milestone in our mobile gaming initiative, and we’re extremely excited to go through the submission and approval process for the very first time,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “Going through this process internally helps us to understand the market and hurdles associated with publishing social and mobile applications so that we can deliver economies of scale to our future gaming partners and indie developers.”

Phantasmic is the company’s first submission, but not the last. Hot on the heels of Phantasmic, OBJE and Novalon plan to submit their second gaming app, Stupid Pixels: an open-ended, puzzle-based strategy game that recalls motifs from the classic Lemmings.

OBJE Seeks Out New Publishing Deals to Capitalize on $6 Billion Social Gaming Market

SARASOTA, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– With market analysts predicting that the social gaming development industry’s revenue will reach $6 billion this year, Obscene Interactive, the gaming division of OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE), is working to capitalize on that growth by pursuing new publishing deals with indie developers poised to reinvent the gaming industry with hot new titles.

According to a recent report by analysts IBISWorld, the social gaming industry’s revenue has grown by 184.3 percent per year on average during the past five years, making it one of the best sectors for startups in a global video game market expected by some experts to reach nearly $120 billion in 2015.

As part of its new initiative to build market share in this fast-growing industry, OBJE is working to forge new agreements to publish, distribute and market promising new games by indie developers, offering more equitable deals than the industry’s dominant players. Last week, the company signed a letter of intent to help market and develop Bluff Wars, a hysterical social game created by Texas-based indie developers FangTooth Studios.

In addition, OBJE is targeting the $9 billion mobile gaming app industry with its own free-to-play mobile games in partnership with Novalon Games, the developer founded by a joint venture between OBJE and Source Street. Test versions of its first two games, Stupid Pixels and Phantasmic, can be played online at www.novalongames.com.

“We envision Bluff Wars and the games developed by our partner Novalon to be only the beginning,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “Social gaming is a very hit-driven business, and we’re looking for potential hits that we can help deliver to a booming marketplace of users.”

OBJE Selects Winner in Stupid Pixels Music Challenge

SARASOTA, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– After receiving a flood of music from enthusiastic gamers, OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE) and its partners have selected a winner in the Stupid Pixels Music Challenge, the company announced today.

Developed in conjunction with Novalon Games, Stupid Pixels is a silly, stylish puzzle game for mobile devices that’s set to be the second of two new gaming apps that the company expects to release this year to compete in the $9 billion mobile gaming market.

Earlier this month, OBJE and Novalon challenged gamers to score the soundtrack for the addictive new game, with the winner’s music to be featured in the app’s final version. The winning entry was delivered by composer Peter Brown.

Both companies were overwhelmed by the response to the contest, said OBJE CEO Paul Watson.

“We’ve been thoroughly impressed by both the quality and quantity of entries we’ve received,” Watson said. “It just goes to show how much interest there is out there in exciting new mobile gaming apps. Narrowing the entries down to finalists and selecting the winner was downright painful; but now we have a nice repertoire of additional original music, as well.”

OBJE and Novalon Games plan to launch the next version of the game online in the coming weeks as they prepare Stupid Pixels for release on the Apple (NAS: AAPL) App Store and Google (NAS: GOOG) Play platforms. Throughout the creative process, OBJE has worked to give gamers a voice in the app’s development—including soliciting feedback on the game’s early testing version, which is available to play online now at www.novalongames.com.

Through its gaming division, Obscene Interactive, OBJ Enterprises, Inc. is working to develop innovative products to service the fast-growing social gaming sector alongside companies such as Glu Mobile Inc. (NAS: GLUU) and Majesco Entertainment Co.  (NAS: COOL) .

OBJE and Novalon Games Open the Studio to Digital Rock Stars for Music Challenge

SARASOTA, Fla–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Think you’re a digital rock star? Ready for your spotlight? If you’re up to the challenge, you could score the soundtrack to the next addictive gaming app from OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE) and Novalon Games.

In a bold creative choice, OBJE announced today that the music in the company’s forthcoming gaming app, Stupid Pixels, will be chosen from tunes submitted by up-and-coming composers online. Developed in conjunction with OBJE‘s partner, Novalon Games, Stupid Pixels is a silly, stylish puzzler—something akin to an arcade-retro Angry Birds. The game will be the second of two new gaming apps that the company expects to release this year.

“We’re looking for melodies that are playful and memorable, good enough that gamers can listen to them for hours without getting irritated,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “Stupid Pixels is going to be a landmark release for both our company and the winning composer. We can’t wait to hear what they come up with.”

Throughout the creative process, OBJE has worked to give gamers a voice in the app’s development—including soliciting feedback on the game’s early testing version, which is available to play online now at www.novalongames.com. Massive Success of Free-to-Play Model Boosts OBJE's Gaming App Projections

Massive Success of Free-to-Play Model Boosts OBJE’s Gaming App Projections

SARASOTA, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The latest market data on free-to-play (FTP) gaming apps has significantly raised OBJ Enterprises’ (OTCBB: OBJE) internal expectations for Phantasmic, the first FTP game in offing from OBJE’s partners at Novalon Games.

The FTP statistics from the TomiAhonen Almanac 2013 are staggeringly positive. Revenue earned from mobile apps are forecast to approach $10 billion, with games accounting for about 80 percent of that total. The world’s estimated 1.2 billion mobile gamers have made free-to-play games their preferred business model, and the top FTP games pull in average revenue per daily user of 25 cents.

In fact, the strength of the FTP model has industry analysts such as SuperData Research predicting that the global market for FTP games will jump to nearly $21.5 billion by 2015.

“There are now roughly as many mobile gamers in the world as there are computer users,” said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. “FTP games are becoming the preferred choice for casual and hardcore gamers alike, and we’re ready to help feed that demand. Phantasmic is only the start.”

Novalon Games, the game developer founded by a joint venture between OBJE and Source Street, also released an early test version of the new puzzle-based mobile gaming app Stupid Pixels last week. The alpha version of Stupid Pixels and the beta version Phantasmic can be viewed and played online at www.novalongames.com. OBJE and Novalon look forward to your continued feedback as we prepare for our official releases.
