The Scottish actor plays former Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who attempts to rescue the President from a besieged White House which has been overrun by terrorists. We described Olympus Has Fallen as “old-fashioned, ass-kicking action” in the IGN review which you can read here.

Olympus Has Fallen Review

The action-thriller Olympus Has Fallen is a far better Die Hard movie than the one released last month. That’s not to say this film isn’t without its ludicrous moments and formulaic faults, but Olympus Has Fallen is still a solid, old school action-thriller featuring a fine cast and a sincere execution by director Antoine Fuqua that lifts it above other fare of this sort.

Gerard Butler stars as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, a tough but reliable bloke who serves on the personal protection detail of President Ben Asher (Aaron Eckhart). He’s not just the President’s bodyguard, but also a close friend to both him and his young son Connor (Finley Jacobsen).
