Showtime Anytime Service Now Offers Live Feed

Showtime have made a new leap when it comes to providing their subscribers with access to their shows as quickly as possible, with the Showtime Anytime service adding live east and east coast feeds this week. Showtime notes this “marks the first time a premium network has offered live TV viewing on an authentication service.”

Showtime’s Penny Dreadful Will Star Josh Hartnett and Eva Green

Authenticated Showtime Anytime subscribers can click on the Live TV button and be given the option between Showtime East and Showtime West immediately. This obviously is of great interest to west coast viewers, who can watch new episodes of series like Dexter, Ray Donovan, Homeland and Shameless as they air live on the east coast.

A brand-new poster for 300: Rise of an Empire has hit the net today, and it can be viewed in all its understated glory below.

300: Rise of an Empire hits screens this August and stars Eva Green, Lena Headey and Rodrigo Santoro (who is interviewed below).

We previewed footage at CinemaCon yesterday, while the synopsis reads as follows…

This new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield – on the sea – as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.  300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

Eva Green is Sin City's Dame to Kill For

Dimension Films announced today that actress Eva Green (Casino Royale, Dark Shadows) has won the highly coveted role of Ava Lord in Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.

Ava, the film and comic’s titular vixen, is described by Miller as “every man’s most glorious dreams come true, she’s also every man’s darkest nightmares.”

Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller said in a statement, “We’ve been wanting to tell this story for a very long time.  Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City.  From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green.  We are ecstatic that Eva is joining us.”
