Every Tuesday, Sony drops a bunch of new stuff onto the PlayStation Network. Those with a PlayStation 3, Vita or PSP can download these goodies, which include PSN games, movies, themes and more. While the Official PlayStation Blog outlines these updates in full each week, we thought we’d help truncate the good news into something more digestible.

Here are this week’s new PSN games.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Coming in July

The next game in Tecmo Koei’s hack ‘n slash brawler series is headed West. Dynasty Warriors 8 was released back in February in Japan, and will finally be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on July 12th in Europe and July 16th in North America.

Dynasty Warriors 8 brings more than 40 new levels, 70 characters, and a slew of endings. The new “What If?” mode is also being introduced, which allows players to change the events of the story to find out what would have happened if things had gone down differently. It brings some important characters back from the dead just to see what happens.

    Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires Review

As a critic with significant experience of the Warriors series, I often face questions from my peers about my fondness for it. It’s too simplistic, claim its detractors, too repetitive. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 Announced

Piracy and brawls go hand in hand. Developer Tecmo Koei discovered the successful combination with their brawler One Piece: Pirate Warriors. And now, it will be getting a PlayStation 3-exclusive sequel in One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2, which will be published by Namco Bandai.

Based on the anime series of the same name, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 takes the Dynasty Warriors style of combat and throws it into the world of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of swashbucklers.

One Piece fans will explore wondrous and mysterious island environments in the bizarre realm beyond the Grand Line while they sail through uncharted territories, including previously unreleased stages such as Skypiea,” says publisher Namco-Bandai.
