Pall Responds to Dioxane Article

By Kai Petainen Pall has responded to my article on Pall and dioxane. The response comes from Farsad Fotouhi, Pall’s Vice President of Coporate Environmental Engineering. Here is the response:

With regard to the cleanup at the former Gelman Sciences facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Pall is in full compliance with the Consent Judgment it entered with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality(MDEQ), which serves as the legal framework for the cleanup.

Data Management and Access

On a monthly basis, Pall sends the State of Michigan all site data required under the approved monitoring plan. The data is provided in an electronic format so that it can be easily downloaded into the historical database the State maintains as part of its oversight of the cleanup. Pall also sends these updates electronically to a number of governmental and private parties. Pall works with the State?s staff to make sure that these monthly updates can be easily downloaded and that the State?s database is sufficient to meet its needs. The database is not hosted at Wayne State University.
