WASHINGTON — Congressman Steve Stockman today formally announced his intentions to file a discharge petition to force a vote on creating a House Select Committee to investigate White House actions regarding the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist killings of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya.

“It has been nearly a year since terrorists killed an American ambassador and three other U.S. citizens in a coordinated attack.  Yet, not one survivor has been allowed to testify to Congress and repeated requests for information have been blocked.  Two different hearings have been canceled after witnesses were confronted and some intimidated,” said Stockman.

“If four members of Obama’s personal staff had been killed there would rightfully have been a full investigation and congressional hearings.  But not one perpetrator has been brought to justice and requests for witnesses and information have been blocked,” said Stockman.

“The usual channels for justice are being cut off.  We have no other choice than to file a discharge petition to force a vote of the full Congress on Congressman Frank Wolf’s bill creating a Select Committee with full subpoena power.  The survivors and the victims’ families deserve answers and all Americans overseas deserve to know why their Commander-In-Chief left men to die at the hands of terrorists.  All Americans owe Congressman Wolf a deep debt for his bravery in demanding answers and justice.”

Stockman was joined at the event by Reps. Louie Gohmert and Paul Broun, along with former Rep. and retired Army Lt. Col. Allen West.  Representatives of “Special Operations Speaks” unfurled a 60-foot-long petition on the Capitol Grounds signed by 1,000 Special Forces veterans supporting a House Select Committee.

Stockman will introduce the discharge petition in the coming days once details are worked out with the House parliamentarian.  If 218 members attach their signatures Wolf’s bill, H. Res. 36, will be recalled from committee and considered on the House floor.

Congressman To Force Action On Benghazi Investigation

By Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX)

WASHINGTON — Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX 36) will seek to force a vote in Congress on creating a select committee to investigate the Obama administration’s handling of the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Following the cancellation of a House hearing this week on the Benghazi attacks, Rep. Stockman announced his intention to file a discharge petition to force a vote on Rep. Frank Wolf’s H. Res. 36, which would establish a Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks.

“Congressman Wolf has fearlessly led the fight for justice on this issue.  The whole nation owes Congressman Wolf a deep debt of gratitude.  Some House Democrats now appear to be openly interfering with the investigation and intimidating witnesses, which only raises more questions about the White House’s involvement,” said Stockman. “The only way we’re going to get a clean and thorough investigation is by forcing a vote with a discharge petition.”

The House Foreign Affairs Committee, of which Rep. Stockman is a member, had originally scheduled a hearing, entitled “Benghazi: Progress on State Department Accountability,” for Thursday, July 18 at 10 a.m.

According to Rep. Wolf, a Select Committee is the only way to effectively conduct an investigation the attacks.

If 218 House members, a majority of the chamber, sign the discharge petition, H. Res. 36 would be recalled from committee and considered on the floor.

Mad Video Game Science

By Jack Inglewood

Videogame SC Mad Video Game Science

You wouldn’t know it from watching the news, but instances of violence in American society have fallen precipitously over the past decade. At the same time, more Americans than ever are playing video games. Yet, a bipartisan group of members of Congress continue to insist that video games might be responsible for random acts of violence, despite overwhelming evidence and facts showing they are wrong.

Vice-President Joe Biden, Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IW) and Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) are among the leading proponents of the belief that there is a link between violence and video games. And they believe that taxpayer dollars should foot the bill for studies to attempt to prove it. But trying to prove causation is folly.

A few months ago, Congressman Wolf, an Appropriations Committee cardinal responsible for doling out billions of taxpayer dollars to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and hundreds of other government agencies, demanded that the National Science Foundation (of which he oversees funding) conduct a study proving his point. The Foundation hired Communication Professor Brad J. Bushman of Ohio State University to do the study. Bushman was the obvious choice; for he once did a study that concluded that the Bible could be used to incite violence. If the Bible induces violence, perhaps so does Grand Theft Auto. Low and behold, the professor found the link! The professor concluded that there are theoretical reasons to believe that violent video games are even more harmful than violent TV programs or films. Rep. Wolf was happy, as were the bureaucrats who want more funding from Mr. Wolf. A Washington win-win, as they say, except for the taxpayers.

There is just one problem — the facts. More Americans play video games today than ever before. While the sales of video games have expanded exponentially, violence in the United States has fallen. Youth violence has fallen. Incidents of bullying have fallen. Even violent crimes by juveniles have fallen. In short, the taxpayers are left holding the bill for a theoretical study with no basis in reality.

But in Washington, one study is never enough. Sen. Charles Grassley wants his own study. Even the National Rifle Association (NRA) is happy to blame the video game industry to shift attention away from gun control. There have been over 130 studies on video games over the past decade, with most finding no link.

Chris Ferguson, a psychologist at Texas A&M International University, has conducted similar experiments and finds studies linking video games and violence to be trivial. “You know most of the debate now is really on to these minor acts of aggressiveness,” he said. “You know we’re talking about little children sticking their tongues out at each other and that sort of thing.” Ferguson says it’s easy to think that senseless video game violence can lead to senseless violence in the real world. But he says that’s mixing up two separate things. “Many of the games do have morally objectionable material, and I think that is where

Congressman Challenges Colleagues To Press Obama On Benghazi

By Congressman Steve Stockman (R-TX)

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Stockman (R-Texas 36) released the following open letter to Congress Tuesday afternoon, encouraging members to support Congressman Frank Wolf’s bill creating a Select Committee to investigate the Obama administration’s response to the Sept. 11, 2012 killings of Americans in Benghazi, Libya.

Dear Colleague:

As a fellow member of this body, I feel that we should protect and honor the sacrifice of those who sacrifice their lives to provide us with the freedoms that make our nation great.

In that same spirit, we should investigate and seek the truth about what happened on that tragic day in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

These four men served their nation with honor and character in the face of danger, and we likewise should honor their memory in seeking the truth about what actually took place that fateful day.

The purpose of this letter is to encourage colleagues of the House of Representatives to support Congressman Wolf’s H.Res. 36, which will create a House Select Committee on the Terrorist Attack in Benghazi.

It is essential that a full accounting of the events of September 11, 2012, be provided and that the American public be fully informed regarding this egregious terrorist attack on US diplomatic personnel and facilities.

We owe that truth to the American people and the families of the fallen.

It appears that many of the facts and details surrounding the terrorist attack which resulted in four American deaths and an undetermined number of American casualties have not yet been ascertained by previous hearings and inquiries.

Additional information is now slowly surfacing in the media, which makes a comprehensive bipartisan inquiry an imperative. Many questions have not been answered thus far.

The House Select Committee should address, at a minimum, the following questions:

1.      Why was there no military response to the events in Benghazi?

a.       Were military assets in the region available? If not, why not?

b.      If so, were they alerted?

c.       Were assets deployed to any location in preparation for a rescue or recovery attempt?

d.      Was military assistance requested by the Department of State? If so, what type?

e.       Were any US Army/Naval/USMC assets available to support the US diplomats in Benghazi during the attack?

f.        What, if any, recommendations for military action were made by DOD and the US Africa Command?

2.      What, if any, non-military assistance was provided during the attack?

3.      How many US personnel were injured in Benghazi?

4.      Why have the survivors of the attack not been questioned?

5.      Where are the survivors?

6.      Who was in the White House Situation Room (WHSR) during the entire 8-hour period of the attacks, and was a senior US military officer present?

7.      Where were Leon Panetta and General Martin Dempsey during the crisis, and what inputs and recommendations did they make?

8.      Where were Tom Donilon, the National Security Advisor, Denis McDonough, his deputy, Valerie Jarrett and John Brennan during the attacks, and what (if any) recommendations or decisions did any of them make?

9.      Why were F-16 fighter aircraft based in Aviano, Italy (less than two hours away) never considered a viable option for disruption (if not dispersal) of the attackers until “boots on the ground” (troop support–General Dempsey’s words) arrived?

10.  Were any

Video: Obama Lets China Steal Top Secret NASA Technology

By Kris Zane

At 2 a.m, on June 17, 1972, five men dressed in business suits and wearing surgical gloves were in the process of bugging the Democratic headquarters at the Watergate office complex. Caught in the act, they were later identified as Nixon’s “Plumbers,” part of a nationwide operation to ensure Nixon’s reelection that included wiretapping, burglary, private investigators, and mafia-like shakedowns.

Nixon put a halt to the Watergate investigation, giving marching orders to the Plumbers to keep quiet and told his cronies in the CIA and Department of Justice to stall the FBI investigation.

Last month, we found out that two NASA facilities—Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, and Ames Research Center near San Francisco, California-were gorged with Chinese national engineers, who had access to top secret defense technology, who then took this information back to their handlers in communist China.

Congressman Frank R. Wolf, through information gathered from whistleblowers, not only found that secret defense information was stolen, but that the Obama administration, including DOJ, may have shut down the investigation.

According to a whistleblower speaking to Aviation Week, the Chinese nationals obtained high-level, cutting edge technology, including:

… Missile defense technology…High-performance rocket engines, fuel and oxidizer tanks from an “ASAT” (anti-satellite weapon), guidance and terrain-mapping systems from the Tomahawk cruise missile and a radar altimeter from the F-35…

Upon allegations that defense secrets at the Ames facility were breached, an FBI investigation was launched and completed, the information then being turned over to Assistant U.S. Attorney Gary Fry. Fry began to prepare indictments and convened a secret grand jury. However, literally minutes before Fry was to begin the proceedings, and without explanation, he was replaced by Assistant U.S. Attorney Elise Becker, and the investigation suddenly stalled.

According to Congressman Wolf, Department of Justice and White House officials intervened in the investigation to shut it down.

Congressman Wolf and other members of Congress put together a confidential report, Destruction of NASA from the Inside: A Summary Report of Criminal and Political Activity, delivered to the Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, which states that NASA has been hemorrhaging top secret technology not only China, but Saudi Arabia as well.

Eric Holder has of course denied that they quashed the investigation, but Congressman Wolf’s probe puts the DOJ right in the middle of what could be the biggest loss of U.S. technology since the Rosenbergs funneled information about the atomic bomb to the Soviet Union.

Nixon shut down the Watergate investigation to ensure his reelection. The Obama administration is alleged to have shut down the NASA investigation to ensure that the funneling of top secret defense technology to communist China continues.

Impeachment for “high crimes and misdemeanors” would be only the beginning…
