Catch Up On StarCraft's Story for Heart of the Swarm

Do you remember who Zeratul is? How Raynor and Arcturus Mengsk used to be besties in the past? Yeah, we’ve forgotten a lot of StarCraft’s story over the last decade too. But help is here!

We at IGN have put together a StarCraft in Five Minutes video that covers both the original StarCraft and the Brood War expansion, as well as a second video that will brief you on the narrative from StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. IGN Live Presents: Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm

Last week, our own Greg Miller played SimCity for 9 hours straight. He’s recovered swimmingly, thanks for asking.

On Tuesday, March 12, starting at 8:30am PT (4:30pm GMT), IGN’s Reviews Editor and resident giant-headed PC guru Dan Stapleton will attempt to do the same thing with Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm.

But he won’t be alone. He’ll have plenty of company from the likes of our own Daemon Hatfield, Anthony Gallegos, Greg Miller, Justin Davis and more, as well as a big block of pro multiplayer action from IPL regulars, including Tim “Robin” Frazier.

Legend of Grimrock 2 Announced

Developer Almost Human has been working on DLC for their popular RPG Legend of Grimrock, but after examining the project and planning what the studio wanted to do with it, has decided to turn it into a full-blown sequel. Speaking on the game’s blog, the official statement reads, “Simply put, a DLC would have limited too much what we can do. With a full blown sequel we can raise Grimrock to the next level.”

No details have been made available at this point. If you’d like to learn more about the first Legend of Grimrock, read our review.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Revolution DLC Video Round-up

We recently broke down what it was like jumping into the new content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s Revolution DLC, but we thought it’d be better to let you see it for yourselves. To that end we’ve compiled short video commentaries for each of the four new multiplayer maps, as well as one video that briefly showcases both the new Die Rise map for Zombies and a new mode competitive multiplayer mode called Turned.

50 PC Exclusive Games in 2013

Earlier this month Anthony Gallegos and I posted a list of our most anticipated PC games for 2013. There were a lot of requests in the comments for more visibility for games that weren’t in our top 10 picks, so we did something unprecedented on the internet: we put together a list.

This list is a selection of 50 games that, at least for now, are only scheduled to appear on the PC platform. There are many more PC-exclusive games not included here, so if you have a favorite you’re looking forward to that we omitted, let us know in the comments. Please also note that some of these games mind wind up getting delayed into 2014 because making a game is not a simple thing to do. This list is not a ranked list.
