EA May Bring Frostbite Engine to Oculus Rift
Gunning down the enemy and slaying trolls may be closer than ever before now that EA is apparently looking into developer technology for upcoming Virtual Reality console and Kickstarter success Oculus Rift, according to an article from The Verge. A memo from an EA executive to a student researcher shows that the gaming company is considering VR support for its Frostbite Engine, which will power popular franchise titles such as Dragon Age III, Battlefield 4 and the new Mass Effect Series.

Valve Will Talk Virtual Reality at GDC 2013
It looks like Valve has plenty on its plate these days.
In addition to pursuing their own proprietary Steam Box to run games, the company announced two intriguing presentations for the Game Developers Conference in March: “Why Virtual Reality is Hard (And Where it Might be Going)” and “What We Learned Porting Team Fortress 2 to Virtual Reality.”
While there’s no indication that Valve will debut any consumer software or hardware during its two 25-minute presentations, the former talk will be hosted by Michael Abrash — one of the big players in Valve’s much-rumored heads-up display console. This is the first time the generally quiet company will be discussing any behind-the-scenes efforts in hardware, and whether all of this tinkering in virtual reality will actually coalesce into a firm and purchasable product (or products).
