Red Hat Enterprise Linux gets cozy with MongoDB

Easing the path for organizations to launch big data-styled services, Red Hat has coupled the 10gen MongoDB data store to its new identity management package for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) distribution.

“The beauty of Identity Management is that it has a central infrastructure that companies can use to manage identities across many different types of applications,” said Kelly Stirman, 10gen director of product marketing. With MongoDB linked to Identity Management, those shops already using RHEL will find it much easier to set up and run applications that run on MongoDB data.

Although it already has been fairly easy to set up a copy of MongoDB on RHEL — by using Red Hat’s package installation tools — the new integration minimizes a lot of work of initializing new user and administrator accounts in the data store software.

Being connected to Red Hat Identity Management, MongoDB can use the user IDs and group permissions that are already managed within Identity Management, helping the organization to establish a SSO (single sign on) infrastructure for its employees and contractors.

factory reset NX8V2

I currently have a NX8e but I have to update it to an NX8V2 in order to use a piece of monitoring equipment.
I have a NX8V2 panel along with a bunch of other goodies I plan to put into the house while I’m at it.
The problem is that I don’t know the codes for the NX8V2.
It’s currently disarmed and only complaining about it’s clock on my test bench.
I have a 584 HA module so I can talk to it serially and I have DL900 V4 on a laptop.
(I tried V3 as well but it complained about signal level??, windows 7 BTW)
When I try to connect with the panel, it thinks it’s a R128.. (Aussie 8v2?) and when I reset the customer to R128 it complains about not being able to get any params.
“Error Reading data from module 0…..83″
None of the parts have been together before (NX8V2, 148RF keypad, or NX584E)

I did manage to accidentally arm it but just as luckily managed to disarm it (code 9999 is a valid user code it seems)

How can I do a total factory reset of the panel? I don’t care about anything inside it, just want it squeaky clean so I can begin programming it for my home.

Before UltiPro, Ping Identity was handling many of its HR processes manually and using a payroll system that could not accommodate the company’s rapid growth, need for business intelligence, and workforce analytics. The security company also used a separate benefits system that didn’t interface with other systems, so the HR team had to maintain and reconcile data in multiple places. Ping Identity selected Ultimate’s cloud-based UltiPro in December 2012 to automate its end-to-end processes for HCM, and executives are enthusiastic about the business results already achieved.

“We were using accounting software that wasn’t designed for payroll. Dropbox for Business launches, offering single sign-on

Cloud-storage provider Dropbox announced today the introduction of Dropbox for Business, a team-oriented version of the service with a particularly IT-friendly feature: single sign-on (SSO).

Dropbox, of course, allows users to archive, share, and access files across multiple devices: desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and so on. Over the years it has grown synonymous with online file storage, arguably beating out every other service for mind-share, if not actual number of users.

The new Dropbox for Business is actually a rebranded Dropbox for Teams, which launched in 2011. Pricing continues to start at $795 annually for up to five users, though you now get “as much storage as you need” rather than a fixed amount.

Back in February, the company unveiled a new admin console and sharing controls for the service. But the marquee feature accompanying the new launch is SSO, which, as described by Dropbox’s Anand Subramani, “works behind the scenes to let users sign in just once to a central identity provider, like Active Directory, and securely access all their business apps, like Dropbox. With SSO, companies can put their existing trusted identity provider in charge of the authentication process.”

Dropbox to add single sign-on

Dropbox, whose cloud storage and file-sharing application has been adopted by millions of consumers, will add single sign-on (SSO), its latest feature for businesses as it seeks to penetrate the workplace market.

The company announced on Wednesday that its product will let IT departments tie it to their identity authentication systems. That way, IT departments will be able to include Dropbox in the set of applications that end users log on to automatically when they sign in once with their main credentials.

Dropbox expects to add the feature next month. The company is working with a variety of identity vendors including Ping Identity, Okta, OneLogin, Centrify, and Symplified, and it’s using the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) standard for its implementation.

“For users, SSO means ease — one fewer password to remember and one fewer step to get to your work. Once logged in to your system, there’s no need to sign in to Dropbox separately,” wrote Dropbox official Anand Subramani in a blog post.

Group the records based on empno and send mail

Hi All,

I have records in a file with name,SSO,openitems,manageremail with | delimited file.Now i want to group the records by SSO and openitems and send email to their manageremail.

currently i am reading line by line from the file and sending 5 emails to their managers . but i want to group by SSO and openitems and redirect to sample.csv, attach the same file and send mail to his manager(i.e 4 th column).Please let me know how can i achieve this.
