Fujifilm Electronic Materials Receives Intel’s Preferred Quality Supplier Award

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Fujifilm Electronic Materials has been recognized as one of 17 companies receiving Intel Corporation‘s Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for their performance in 2012. Fujifilm Electronic Materials is recognized for their significant contributions providing Intel with formulated chemicals, developers, precursors, slurries and advanced photoresists, deemed essential to Intel’s success.

The PQS award is part of Intel’s Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) program that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must score 80 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, technology, environmental, social and governance goals. Suppliers must also achieve 80 percent or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate solid quality and business systems. Intel Honors Eight Companies with Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement Award

SANTA CLARA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Intel Corporation today announced the eight winners of the company’s most prestigious award for suppliers, the Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) award. This honor, which recognizes outstanding commitment to quality and performance excellence, distinguishes these suppliers as world-class within Intel’s greater supply chain.

Providing products and services deemed essential to Intel’s business success, the 2012 winners will be honored at a ceremony tonight in San Jose, Calif. “We are pleased to recognize these world-class suppliers for their exceptional performance and commitment to excellence,” said William Holt, executive vice president and general manager of Intel’s Technology and Manufacturing Group. “Delivering a sustained pace of innovation requires continuously improving and we are delighted to work with such nimble and distinguished companies.”

To qualify for SCQI status, suppliers must score at least 95 percent on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology and environmental, social and governance goals. Suppliers must also achieve 90 percent or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate solid quality and business systems. In addition to the PQS award, Intel recognized three suppliers with the Supplier Achievement Award, which recognizes extraordinary accomplishments in one or more key performance areas.
