Thomas Ehrlich, now teaching at the Stanford Graduate School of Education, is the former dean of Stanford Law School, provost of the University of Pennsylvania, and president of Indiana University. He also worked in the administrations of four presidents starting with President Kennedy and including responsibility for foreign-aid policy, reporting directly to President Carter.
