New Accenture Delivery Center Provides 300 Jobs in Austin, Texas
Will focus on software products for state health and human service agencies across the country
AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Accenture (NYS: ACN) is opening a delivery center in Austin, Texas, to provide software development and support as well as consulting and technology services for the company’s health and public sector work across North America.
The center is targeted to grow to around 300 jobs by the end of 2013, which would bring the number of Accenture employees in Texas to more than 5,000. The company has other Texas offices in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

Rohleder, the Austin-based group chief executive of Accenture’s Health & Public Service operating group. “We are focused on helping public agencies seize transformative opportunities to improve citizen services while adapting to budget realities. We have worked with the state of Texas for over 30 years and Austin is key to our efforts to leverage technology and software to meet government needs.”

In recent years, Accenture has developed and launched a flexible, service-based technology platform and software applications to enable public agencies to upgrade or replace legacy IT systems in an integrated, flexible manner to reduce technology and management costs and improve service delivery. The new software products to be supported by the Austin center include the Accenture Public Service Platform, the Accenture Benefits Management System, the Accenture Citizen Self-Service Portal and the Accenture Public Health Platform.
Accenture Integrated Social Services combine process and technology advancements to support the core missions of human service agencies.
