Michael Keaton Joins Need for Speed Movie

The big screen version of the video game Need for Speed has added some superhero luster to its cast.

The Hollywood Reporter says Batman veteran Michael Keaton has joined Aaron Paul, Imogen Poots and Dominic Cooper in DreamWorks’ film version of the EA game.

“Keaton will play the reclusive and eccentric host of an underground supercar race where he invites the best drivers from around the world,” claims the trade.

The cast also includes Kid Cudi, Ramon Rodriguez, Rami Malik and Harrison Gilbertson. Scott Waugh will direct from a script by George Gatins.

Kid Cudi Joins Need For Speed Cast

With the Need for Speed movie about to commence principal photography, DreamWorks is currently busy filling out the cast.

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul has already been cast as Tobey Marshall, who races from New York to L.A. to hunt down the man who killed his best friend.

According to Deadline, rapper Kid Cudi – real name Scott Mescudi – has now been cast as said best friend.

Kudi made his acting debut in HBO show How to Make it in America, while he has recently contributed to the Fright Night and Hunger Games soundtracks.

He joins Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots in the film, while Ramon Rodriguez, Rami Malek and Harrison Gilbertson have also been cast.
