Nicole Richie’s Sheer Jumpsuit For ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ Gives Us Pause (PHOTOS)

By The Huffington Post News Editors

Nicole Richie is a woman with a definitive style, so we can usually spot the “Fashion Star” mentor’s boho-chic ensembles from a mile away. Her latest look, however, made us do a double-take.

While heading to her appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday, Nicole caught our eye in a glam jumpsuit with major sheer paneling — we’re talking cleavage, hip and leg windows here. We’re all for a ’70s-style evening playsuit, but we’re not sure if we would’ve chosen this one for an on-camera appearance under glaring lights. But that’s just us.

Ms. Richie, however, is used to pushing the style limits. She’s dabbled in mullett dresses and pink hair, so the designer is certainly not going for the crowd-pleasing look. Fortunately, more often than not, Nicole comes out on top with her fashion risks (see: her frosty blue eyeshadow at the 2013 Golden Globes).

Saks Fifth Avenue Returns to NBC’s Fashion Star for a Second Season

Terron Schaefer is once again Saks Fifth Avenue’s Discerning “Buyer” on the show

Tune in for the Fashion Star Season Two premiere on Friday, March 8 at 8 p.m./7c on NBC

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Saks Fifth Avenue will return to NBC‘s Fashion Star for second season, and style icon Terron Schaefer will once again represent Saks on the show. Fashion Star returns to NBC tonight at 8 p.m./7c.

Fashion Star is a reality competition TV Show, in which 12 unknown designers will be teamed up with celebrity mentors, for the chance to launch their collections in three of America’s most well-known retailers (Saks, Express and Macy’s). Each week, working with their mentors, the contestants are given a challenge to design clothing with a certain look, feel, and functionality. The culmination of their efforts comes with a fashion show during which they display their work to the “buyers” of the three retailers. At the end of each episode, judges from the retailers will go head-to-head and compete against each other for the right to purchase and exclusively carry the work of that week’s winner. The designs selected by Terron Schaefer will immediately be available for purchase online at saks.com following the show.

In the end, one designer will successfully combine fashion and business to become the next “Fashion Star” and will receive the grand prize – $3 million in orders for capsule collections in each of Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s, and Express.

Fashion Star “Season Two” features returning celebrity mentors Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos, alongside new host Louise Roe. During the show, see Terron’s tweets live from @saks streamed on the saks.com Fashion Star page.

‘The New Normal’: Nicole Richie Goes Pumpkin Picking With Ryan On Pre-Empted Halloween Episode (VIDEO)

By The Huffington Post News Editors

After Hurricane Sandy, NBC pre-empted the Halloween installment of “The New Normal.” Finally this past week, it came to air. And while it might seem strange to drop it in now in early March, it makes sense when you consider that Nicole Richie was one of the guest stars.

Richie’s own show, “Fashion Star,” returns to NBC this Friday at 8 p.m. EST for its second season. In this episode, though, it was revealed that she’s one of Ryan’s Hollywood friends. The two of them were seen shopping together for pumpkins and making fun of Courtney Love.

But Richie wasn’t the only familiar face. George Takei dropped by to support Ryan’s stance on Halloween finally being his chance to let his freak flag fly. Apparently that means controlling what everyone dresses up as every year.

Jessica Simpson Shows Her Bump in Spandex at the Gym

By Maria Mercedes Lara

Jessica Simpson displayed her growing belly while heading off to the gym in LA yesterday. She kept comfortable for her workout session in a tight black tank top and bright green sweatpants. Jessica is pregnant with her second child and first showed off her pregnant bump in a bikini during a family vacation to Hawaii over the holidays. She also flaunted her shape for an appearance on The Tonight Show last month, when she joked about her surprise second pregnancy. Jessica will be back in the spotlight soon, since she has the March premiere of Fashion Star coming up, and she also recently signed on to star in a scripted NBC comedy series based on her life.

The Fashionably Late Show With André Leon Talley

By Justin Fenner

Jay Leno and David Letterman may soon have some very stylish competition: André Leon Talley has signed a deal to develop a late-night television show.

Talley has teamed up with Electus, the television production company that’s worked on Fashion Star and Mob Wives, on making the concept a reality. He told WWD that he wants to create a program “that blends Dick Cavett‘s approach to eloquence and sophistication with unparalleled access into my international fashion lifestyle. A forum where unique stories will be told and inspirations shared.”

Of course, Talley has been inspiring audiences on screens big and small with appearances in movies like The September Issue and stints on shows like America’s Next Top Model and Entertainment Tonight. Talley will still work with Vogue, for which he stars in the weekly online video series Mondays with André, but there’s no doubt his already high star is continuing to rise.
