The numbers aren’t great, and for every Kathryn Bigelow or Lena Dunham out there, there’s a small army of male writers or directors getting work. Diablo Cody has definitely broken through the boys’ club, but she’s still passionate and vocal about the need for more opportunities for women in film, and in business in general.
