Cloud Atlas Blu-ray Announced

Cloud Atlas will arrive on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and Digital Download this May 14 from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“From acclaimed filmmakers Lana Wachowski, Tom Tykwer, and Andy Wachowski, the powerful and inspiring epic drama Cloud Atlas explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.”

The Hobbit Blu-ray Officially Detailed

Warner Bros. officially announced today the release of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Blu-ray Combo Packs. Both versions of the theatrical cut — the Standard Blu-ray Combo Pack and the 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack — will feature DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround and are set to arrive on March 19. A 2-Disc DVD Special Edition will also be released the same day.

Schindler's List 20th Anniversary Blu-ray Announced

Director Steven Spielberg’s classic historical drama Schindler’s List will soon mark its 20th anniversary with a Limited Edition Blu-ray Combo Pack release, including a Blu-ray disc, DVD, Digital Copy and UltraViolet.

The 1993 film has been meticulously restored from its original 35mm film negative in high definition, supervised by Spielberg. The Blu-ray will feature all-new bonus content that reveals even more of the story behind Oskar Schindler, a member of the Nazi party who risked his own life to save more than 1,100 Jews during the Holocaust.

“Schindler’s List is a rare masterpiece of filmmaking that remains as riveting and moving today as it was for moviegoers 20 years ago,” said Craig Kornblau, President of Universal Studios Home Entertainment. “It stands as a powerful reminder of the heroism and humanity of those willing to stand up against intolerance.”
