Anchorman 2 Nets Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman has shot an uncredited cameo role in the upcoming Anchorman 2.

In addition to stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner and Christina Applegate, the comedy also features appearances from Greg KinnearHarrison Ford and Kristen Wiig.

Meanwhile, THR reports that Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson may also have small parts in the film, likely reprising their characters from the first Anchorman.

Anchorman 2 is slated for release on December 20, 2013.

Chevy Chase Back for Vacation

Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo are getting ready to reprise their roles as Clark and Ellen Griswold in New Line’s Vacation reboot/sequel.

Variety reports that the pair are in “early talks” to join the film, which will see Ed Helms and Christina Applegate take center stage as the now grown-up Rusty Griswold and his wife.

James Marsden Joins Anchorman 2

This just in: Former Cyclops James Marsden is the latest cast member to join Anchorman 2.

While story details are still being held close to the vest, Deadline reports that the actor will play a rival anchor and nemesis to Rob Burgundy, similar to Vince Vaughn‘s role in the first film. Marsden joins returning stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and David Koechner, as well as newcomer Kristen Wiig.

Kristen Wiig for Anchorman 2?

Kristen Wiig is currently being eyed for a part in Paramount’s upcoming comedy Achorman: The Legend Continues.

According to The Wrap, Wiig would play opposite Steve Carell as a love interest to his character Brick Tamland. But sources note that the script is still being written, and no cast members beyond the principals — Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate, David Koechner and Carell — have been set.
