Splunk CIO Discusses the Impact of the Internet of Things at Bloomberg Enterprise Technology Summit

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Splunk Inc. (NAS: SPLK) , the leading software platform for real-time operational intelligence, today announced that Doug Harr, chief information officer, Splunk, will discuss the impact of machine data and analytics on the Internet of Things during an interview panel at Bloomberg Enterprise Technology Summit. The summit will be held Wednesday, April 24 at the Apella at the Alexandria Center in New York City. The Internet of Things panel is scheduled to begin at 3:45 p.m. EDT.

McKenney’s and Splunk Bring Big Data Spotlight to the Gartner Business Intelligence & Analytics Summit

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Splunk Inc. (NAS: SPLK) , the leading software platform for real-time operational intelligence, today announced that McKenney’s Inc., in a speech at the Gartner Business Intelligence & Analytics Summit in Grapevine, Texas, will describe how it is using Splunk® Enterprise to generate valuable insight from facilities and energy sensors. The session, “McKenney’s Turns Big Data Sources into Better Business Insights” is scheduled to take place Wednesday, March 20 at 9:30 a.m. CDT.

McKenney’s will address how organizations seeking to integrate streams of unstructured data with traditional business intelligence can use Splunk software to gain operational intelligence. The session will also examine how McKenney’s is using Splunk software to analyze data from facility control and energy management sensors for continuous commissioning and advanced fault detection and diagnosis in order to control costs and improve operations. The speakers will include Brian Gilmore, program manager of enterprise intelligence for McKenney’s, and Tapan Bhatt, senior director of solutions marketing for Splunk.

Guido Schroeder, senior vice president of products for Splunk, is also speaking at the summit as part of an industry panel about big data analytics. Schroeder will participate in the panel “The Myth and Reality of Big Data Analytics”, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, at 9:30 a.m. CDT.
