The long wait is over: Britain’s future king was born today at 4:24 p.m. And what better way to begin this blog (and celebrate the birth of the Royal Baby) than to pick houses for sale that are fit for a Royal? Not that Baby Cambridge will be short of great places to live, of course. His parents have spent a small fortune to make their 21-room, Kensington palace apartment—once home to the Queen’s sister, the late Princess Margaret—more welcoming for a child. The newborn prince(ss) will also have the run of the place at both the official Royal Palaces, such as forbidding Windsor Castle, in Berkshire, and at his great-grandmother’s private residences, including the magnificent Balmoral, in Royal Deesside, Scotland, as well as the not quite as grand, but still substantial country house of his Middleton grandparents in Upper Bucklebury, Berkshire. However, should the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want to gift a baby with a place of his own, they could do worse than look at these extraordinary properties, some of which have already played host to kings and princes in the past.
