The Witcher 3 will be the “final episode” of Geralt of Rivia’s story, according to developer CD Projekt Red. Following The Witcher 3’s announcement, Studio head Adam Bakowski stated “People may ask if this is really going to be the last Witcher game. Yes, it is. Why? Because we believe that we should end the series on a high note.”
The press release for Wild Hunt‘s announcement emphasizes this, stating this will be players’ “last chance” to experience the series. Following The Witcher 3, presumably, is CD Projekt’s other title, Cyberpunk 2077.
